Yes, this was spot on. When you started talking about “who you with” I started laughing because that’s exactly what happened. I ended up going to so many community service events and asking to volunteer, that if I couldn’t make one it was noticed and mentioned at the following event.
Also, be prepared to attend events and volunteer for a time, if the chapter isn’t doing intake for a while. I showed up and volunteered for 2 years before they had intake. There were other chapters nearby, but I wanted to join this one. Advice- you waited for this chapter, don’t let anything sway you. 💚💕💚💕
I had a good friend at work that became my sponsor into the Frat. Once I showed interest to him he advised me on all the events to meet the brothers. So when time to came, the chapter knew me and what I was about.

I love your advice. Currently, seeking grad chapter and your advice is so accurate. I've been invited and going to events. My question is how will I know when or if they are having a intake process? I guess they will send me invitation letter/ how if they don't have my contact information umm🤷🏿♂️
Great question. Sometimes they’ll verbally invite you to informational and ask for your contact. Other than that they will ask for your information beforehand to invite you

It depends . If you need an Invitation to be considered for Intake/membership, someone will have to tell you about the informational . Other organizations have open informational sessions . Good luck.
Is it inappropriate to email VPs of more than one chapter? The COVID situation is making it really hard to actually physically attend public events and I haven't been able to use those experiences to narrow down the chapter I want to show more interest in. How should I approach if I am looking into 2 chapters in my city? Thanks!

What would you advise to be proper phone etiquette when members give you their number? Like what are you supposed to do without being awkward? I noticed interested people exchange numbers too, I’m finding the grad process as an interest is VERY different from undergrad.
Treat it as if it were at your job. Keep it business casual. You can ask questions and have a conversation but keep in mind that you're still in the "interview process."

Hi Kels!! I’m actively pursuing a grad chapter and am pretty good friends with a member of their organization and she has shown interest in me joining her chapter. In my inquiry email to the chapter VP, is it okay to mention the name of that member or would that be overstepping bounds? I sent an email to the vice president. She seemed very polite and told me to keep up with the social media pages. But she asked me my name and I got stuck lol

Thanks for watching my videos. I think that you should still make an effort to attend as many hosted events as you can. You don't have the email the chapter if you're receiving regular updates regarding their events. If you're not receiving updates, then you can message them or follow their social media for updates.
You mentioned that it is best to send a letter of interest via email. I have gone to the chapter's website and there is no email address for the vice president, there is only a blanket 'contact us' form. Should I send my letter of interest through that form or just simply ask for more information?
You can email their “contact us” and request more information. You don’t have to send a letter of interest just yet

Hello great information I wanted to know there are about 3 grad chapters around my area. is it best to email all 3, or try to seek events to see which one is best for me prior to an email telling them I am interested? I wanted to know if its not good to tell all 3 grad chapters of the same organizations I am interested and ask for events of each. Or is it best to only email 1 and go to the one event only?

What happens when they leave you on read or are nonchalant in their emails? Should you keep pursuing? Should I bother going to their virtual zoom events or just leave it alone? I have two grad chapters in my area.
You should want to join a chapter that actively communicates with you. I would look into other options. There’s nothing wrong with courting different chapters of the same organization

If the organization does not accept solicitation for membership, that it would explain why the response was short. Does the organization accept solicitation for membership?

There’s no specific number. Attend as many as you can and do what makes you comfortable

What do you mean by visit all chapters? You can do research on each organization. Organizations also host meet and greets for you to learn more.
In November I was invited to attend an event from one of the grad chapters and gave the VP my contact information after talking to a few members of this particular organization. The next day I emailed a thank you letter and I have not heard anything back. I have been looking on their website for future events but have not seen anything. What do you recommend I do next? Should I email again?
Yes, you can email to inquire about future events.
I don't know anyone from the chapter I want to join. All of the deltas I know are either in another chapter or are not financial. Will that hurt me?
It wouldn’t hurt you to ask them their perspective on the sorority and/or their experience joining the organization. I recommend attending the events of the chapter you want to join so that you’ll have the opportunity to meet active chapter members
