Like Terry will wear what he wears usually because it's just some regular ass clothes. But Ryo doesn't wear his gi everywhere. He usually wears a t-shirt in jeans. Unless you're more of the esoteric fighters that are a bit more out there like Dolores those are still kind of regular clothes but she's a hermit so she kind of wears something that's out of the norm but that's normal for her.

Andy has always loved Mai he just wants everything to be done right and not rushed, and what I love is that in the later KOF games it seems Mai has actually taken a bit of a hint to the point where their KOF 14 intro has them casually chatting, and even Andy has lightened up to the thought of marriage where in KOF 15 even though Andy says he doesn’t want to marry Mai, he says he doesn’t want it to be out of nowhere and randomly in public. Andy and Mai are like the Sonic and Amy of both the "Fatal Fury" and "King of Fighters" series before it was completely done to Death for the past 30 freaking Years.
In a way, that was the first thing I thought of when I learned of this relationship. In Sonic and Amy's case, Amy is the one who mellows out in recent games and, while she still loves Sonic, she's respecting his boundaries as a friend and Sonic appreciates this greatly given his long history of being chased, while Sonic is now far more comfortable with Amy around showing their relationship has greatly improved. While for Andy and Mai's case, Andy seems to like Mai's company, just not her antics, yet he seems scared of committing to her. However at the same time, in recent games it seems he's growing on the idea of being with Mai, he just wants to take it slow, which is actually a significant character growth on his part. Now Mai just needs to grow up, slow down, respect Andy's wishes, and they'll be set.
