Both actresses at that time stamp are Angelina Johnson. Lavender Brown’s 3 different actresses were shown a few seconds earlier. No idea what Angelina had to do with the point about Lavender.
“Seamus” _is_ pronounced “SHAY-muss.” Irish words and names have different pronunciation rules than English ones do. The characters in the films pronounce it the correct way like the narrator in this video does.
Funny enough to me they actually were casted perfectly.. I read the books before the movie and especially Ron & hermione were exactly what I expected them to be. They got it as close as they could get it I think
Regarding Hermione's teeth, I forget if it's in Prisoner of Azkaban or Goblet of Fire, but she had some curse that made them grow way more, so when the nurse used magic to shrink them, she let her shrink them below their actual size until they fit in nicely with the rest of her teeth. Fun stuff, magic.
Daniel actually had an allergic reaction to the contacts. Thats why they never used them. Also why they didn’t just have the actor for Harry’s mother have blue contacts, idk.
Daniel fitted Harry’s stature right up until the 4th Film, after that Harry was noted to have some significant growth spurts over the next few years and was said to have grown up to be quite tall like his father.
I know that he isn't even close to Harry's age, but the movies didn't really get Arthur Weasley right either. In the book he is supposed to have a bald patch and horned rimmed glasses, he has neither. Also Percy was also supposed to have horn rimmed glasses.
True but compared to other girls like Ginny, she wasn't exactly the most attractive. Since the books were in Harry's perspective, it might've just been how he sees girls in general or due to how he disliked her in the beginning. I don't know.
Perhaps not, but only Viktor Krum thought that she was actually a pretty girl before the makeover. Ron wasn't really attracted to her until he saw her with someone else.
@@alexandrorocca7142 I agree with you but I think it was more like her personality. No offense to Hermione but there were many pretty girls who fawned over Victor, much to his dislike. When he saw Hermione in the library, he liked that she didn't swoon or fawn over him. But that's what I got from the scene so I don't disagree with you.
@@terryroberson895 Of course, Emma Watson was a cute kid, and she was clearly smart and a very good actress. A little too pretty though to justify the reaction of her friends and fellow students when she entered the ballroom in GOF. In the book, Harry didn't even recognize her at first, and she was like a sister to him.
Missed the fact that during the first book Harry was very skinny also, with jet black hair that would grow faster than average, which means that between scenes they had to let Daniel keep longer hair and shorter in others. Daniel has brown hair and it was always well cut and groomed for the character (except of the 3rd and the 4th films). Now we can't blame Daniel for being too short for the last films, but there's no replacement for him.
After goblet of fire and being hexed by malfoy, hermione let madame pomfrey shrink her teeth a little more than they were originally. So she's still pretty much perfect for the role.
Yeah I don't think any actress is called Lavender by name in the films though in the 3rd film a black actress is sat on the same table as who I believe to be Parvati and I'm pretty sure in the books they sit together in that class as they are best friends. However, this is never really specified in the films and no real description is given of Lavender from what I know, I think this might be what is causing the confusion.
When I was little I never noticed Dean, but when I grew up, and watched “how to get away with a Murder”, then I rewatched HP, and every time he was on the screen I was like: “oh high there Wes”
I think I'm the only one who's fine with everyone's hair color in movies cause it all feels so original and themselves. In the books literally everybody was blonde except Harry and few others, I can't believe even Neville was supposed to be blond.
I'm listening to the audiobooks the whole time. I nearly know all the books by heart and i didn't know that Neville was blonde because since i watched the movies i always imagine him being brown haired.
I think Harry's changing hairstyle in the movie fits his character development, I mean few people keep the same hairstyle throughout their adolescent life you know. Still I think his hairstyle in azkaban was the best.
Looks are secondary to performance. Talent is always the better choice. Someone who can be the character will always be better than someone who just looks like them.
Harry was also described in the books as tall. Daniel Radcliffe was great and had the perfect face for the role, but like Rupert Grint he never gained the height of the book version of Harry by the later films. I think a taller Harry would have seemed more "grown up" facing Voldemort in the last film. ...and yes, Ginny was rather bland and uninteresting in the films.
I wish Draco had more character development, and also I personally think Draco should have end up with Astoria. Draco was so misunderstood so I want to know more about his past.
I remember initially feeling let down as the film franchise unfolded to know that both Ron and Ginny were inappropriately represented on screen. The filmmakers downplayed Ron’s importance to Harry and Hermione, and they Albert completely deleted Jimmy‘s presence in both Order of the Phoenix and Half-blood Prince. That was a much bigger concern for me than how they looked on Camera or how faithfully they resembled their text depictions.

Neville was blonde?????
Edit: well I looked it up and apparently Rowling imagined him blonde and just forgot to mention it in the books. Same thing with Ron Weasley's eye color
Yeah I know I was like WAAAAATTTTTTT
i cant imagine a blonde Neville
Nope
Dudley and Petunia are also supposed to be blonde👍
@@mellsallem2506 yeah I remember those because she describes Dudley as looking like a pig in a blonde wig I think. And it makes sense with Petunia because Lily is a redhead so Petunia is probably a strawberry blonde. But I did always still imagine them as more brunette
when i say ginny is my favorite character people who only watched the movies dont understand... in the books she is amazing but the movies dont do her justice. i love bonnie tho
GINNY IS THE. BEST.
Its sad how the movies just took away Ginny's personality
Mhm
Yes😭🥺
Based on the films, I saw her as tough and somewhat sociable but shy around Harry. Her personal life was just muted for the sake of focusing on the main character.
It's a shame that we couldn't see in the film how Fred died. He was so awesome. The world deserves to know how his previous life ended.
Didn't they show Fred dying in the movie? But yeah they just showed him DYING not how he died. He sure deserved more credit.
Why did you spoil fred died I'm only on the 3rd book
@@person324 The books have all been finished since 2007 and the movies since 2011...it's not really a spoiler anymore if its been 14 years and 10 years...plus Harry Potter is known almost everywhere, I'm surprised you didn't know this already tbh.
But it makes sense because the books are mostly from Harry's pov. He wasn't around to see Fred die, or Lupin and Tonks for that matter (Lupin was a personal favorite of mine).

“As he grew up, he also put on more muscle. Which nobody seemed to mind.” Hahahaha very true!! Rupert just continued getting hotter every movie
James and Sirius (especially young James and Sirius).
Book James: messy black hair, hazel eyes. Identical to Harry except James has a longer nose and Harry has green eyes. Also, he was 21 when he died.
Book Sirius: one of the most handsome characters in the whole series (especially as a teenager) and was 36 when he died.
Based on the fact that James is like a canonical stud Harry was a very hot nerdy boy.
They did Sirius’ younger self so dirty in the films
@@forgottenn7585 They did Sirius dirty in the films, period. It was a travesty.
Aww
Yes I'm so disappointed on how the movie portrayed Sirius. He should have been handsome, cool, and cheerful.
The Harry Potter books in the Weasley Twin’s eyes:
First book: The year we won the House Cup
Second book: The year we almost lost our sister
Third book: The year we passed James’ legacy
Fourth Book: The year we knew he was back
Fifth book: The year we became legends
Sixth book: The year we brought light to darkness
Seventh book: The year ‘we’ became ‘I’

8:59 that's Angelina at the right, the quidditch player, not Lavender.
Both actresses at that time stamp are Angelina Johnson. Lavender Brown’s 3 different actresses were shown a few seconds earlier. No idea what Angelina had to do with the point about Lavender.
I don't know!
“Seamus” _is_ pronounced “SHAY-muss.” Irish words and names have different pronunciation rules than English ones do. The characters in the films pronounce it the correct way like the narrator in this video does.
True
Thx for that:-)
@@magicalmady1230 :)
I always pronounced it as SEE-muss lol
Like Sean
Funny enough to me they actually were casted perfectly.. I read the books before the movie and especially Ron & hermione were exactly what I expected them to be. They got it as close as they could get it I think
8:57 That was Angelina Johnson from Gryffindor's quidditch team, not Lavender Brown. Fred asked her to the Yule Ball with him in that scene.
Angelina Johnson, and yes indeed not Lavender Brown
Exactly.... Brown was never present much in the books before the 3rd one when divination was introduced.... That was Angelina Johnson
Sorry guys, I edited my comment.
I was just about to say this!
Yes👍
1st Movie “He’s not Fred I’m Fred!” “Honestly woman u call yourself our mother!” “Only kidding I am Fred” 😂 LOL!!
Ginny in the books: a likeable character, total badass
Ginny in movies: a wet wipe
this is so true 😹😭
She is better in the books but I still don't like her
Shoelace
@@madeleinepreston6591 She's a badass in the books, but she's just a fangirl to Harry.
Why steal comments? Originality exits.

Hermione only had large front teeth. Not her every tooth was large tho.

Ravioli am I right
True. Arthur was described as "balding", however in the movies he got more and more hair (because they started using wigs for both him and Molly).
No no no Hermione was not mentioned as a monster in the books
How she’s a beauty
Missed the fact that during the first book Harry was very skinny also, with jet black hair that would grow faster than average, which means that between scenes they had to let Daniel keep longer hair and shorter in others. Daniel has brown hair and it was always well cut and groomed for the character (except of the 3rd and the 4th films). Now we can't blame Daniel for being too short for the last films, but there's no replacement for him.
Love that you showed Angelina Johnson from GoF when talking about lavender brown
Originally Emma Watson did have fake teeth, but they made it difficult for her to talk

They literally have the girl who played angelina Johnson listed as lavender brown? I’m confused. Lol
The Lavender Brown with lines was great. So great that I was pretty emotional when she became a casualty in the final film.

Up until the 3rd book, yes she was.

Yup she was supposed to be
Yup, she was
Even Snape teased her about it
She gets her teeth fixed after her polyjuice accident, if I remember correctly. I haven't read the books for while now.

When they could have just dyed their hair.
They dye people’s hair all the times in movies but not in the Harry Potter movies. Weird
They were kids...
@@usagiwhitenight actually the Phelps twins who acted Fred & George dyed their hair ginger
The Malfoys was right.... Let me think on this one....
After goblet of fire and being hexed by malfoy, hermione let madame pomfrey shrink her teeth a little more than they were originally. So she's still pretty much perfect for the role.
My favorite Gryffindor...Hmm...Ron. Or Crookshanks, if it counts.
8:57 Thats not supposed to be Lavender Brown on the right. That's Angelina Johnson
8:23 Wow, I've noticed that Neville hanging off the spike is CGI and a bad one at that
We aren’t gonna talk about the fact that in the books “Harry Potter” wasn’t aloud to cut his hair?🤨
he was allowed to and when his aunt and uncle tried to cut it it would grow back

The reason they never gave Harry green eyes coz Daniel Radcliffe was allergic to eye contacts-
Is that actually true?
Yeah is true
Ok but at least find a blue-eyed girl to play young Lily
We all have to agree that Severus Snape is exactly what he's described in books!
Ron was showed soo different in the book and was much concentrated in the book
When I was little I never noticed Dean, but when I grew up, and watched “how to get away with a Murder”, then I rewatched HP, and every time he was on the screen I was like: “oh high there Wes”
Кря OMG SAME! I watched the first hp a while back and i was like “w-wha WAIT THATS WES! And then i cried cause he’s dead.
Slytherin next time?
I think I'm the only one who's fine with everyone's hair color in movies cause it all feels so original and themselves. In the books literally everybody was blonde except Harry and few others, I can't believe even Neville was supposed to be blond.
I'm listening to the audiobooks the whole time. I nearly know all the books by heart and i didn't know that Neville was blonde because since i watched the movies i always imagine him being brown haired.
I have read the books so many times but it never states Neville was meant to be blonde
The right-hand still of "Lavender" at 9:01 is actually Angelina Johnson 😬
I think Harry's changing hairstyle in the movie fits his character development, I mean few people keep the same hairstyle throughout their adolescent life you know. Still I think his hairstyle in azkaban was the best.
Looks are secondary to performance. Talent is always the better choice. Someone who can be the character will always be better than someone who just looks like them.
I couldn't imagine having a differenr cast! They were all perfect
Funny how this comes up to watch when my son and I are having a Harry Potter marathon! 3 more movies to go when I get up later today. Cheers 🥂

Gred and Forge are my favourit gryffindors. 😍😍😍

"you have your mother's eyes"

I remember initially feeling let down as the film franchise unfolded to know that both Ron and Ginny were inappropriately represented on screen. The filmmakers downplayed Ron’s importance to Harry and Hermione, and they Albert completely deleted Jimmy‘s presence in both Order of the Phoenix and Half-blood Prince. That was a much bigger concern for me than how they looked on Camera or how faithfully they resembled their text depictions.
lol Jimmy
