    You are a life saver. My scooter’s back tire just deflated a few days ago and this video was here in time to save the day. Thank you very much. I appreciate you.

    Hello Jeffrey Ned. I was wondering how much psi do you put on the inner tubes? I blew out 2 today trying to hit 35 psi. An air ball grew on the side of the tube before blowing out. My front tire read 20 psi and its super stiff and not punctured at all yet. Should i put it up to 20 psi as well? Thanks in advance!

      Hi. I use 35 psi. I’m not sure what could be causing your issue. Your gauge could be off. Also, you may have twisted the tube when you put it in. That could cause a bulge and rupture. Just my guesses. Cheers :)

    thanks for sharing an instructional video of fixing a flat tire. I haven't made a purchase of max pro yet but will do soon. I wanted to get some ideas of how to replace parts on my own. Hiboy website doesn't offer replacement parts...for Max Pro. what a bummer, but you figured a way to do it. much respect to you sir.

      Glad it was helpful! The next time I have the privilege of changing a tube I'll get better video. But this should get you through the project when it comes time.

    Hardest thing I’ve ever done. Have to ask, does it matter if you use the vent valve stem? I’m over here patching because I punctured the replacement short stem
    My advice
    Once you get the tire off on the side with the power wire, slide the new or repaired tube over the wheel and out past the tire over the wire, then put the tire on half way (as in one side completely sitting on the rim), then put the inner tube valve first into the tire. Muuuuch easier this way and don’t have to wrangle it at ALL. Do not partially inflate the tube before placement, that’s crazy
    Good luck all

    Can you tell me how you got the tire off away from the tube? I’m having trouble getting the tire off or what tool you used?

    • @jeffreyned
      @jeffreyned  2 місяці тому

      I'm not sure what you mean... Pull the tube out on the right hand side like the ring. Then you can pull the tire off the left side and pull the tube off the left side too. I just used my hands. No tools. Hope that helps.

    I wanted to be sure and say thank you for the lil' tip on the assemble/inflate/deflate/inflate-for possible wrinkles, as I am sure I'm not the only watcher missing some Dad tips.
    Also, is there any way you could help with brakes/adjustments/repairs? My right brake handle has become less responsive (loose?), and the brakes are something I fear to mess with without knowing what to do beforehand. It seems that there may be something different in the screw area, just to the inside of the brake handle, where the cord enters the handle. Its a double screw system, which I'm sure is adjustable, but I have no knowledge about these things. I am happy to send pics/vids with more detail, but the comments are the only way I know of for communication. Please let me know if you need more info. Again, thank you as this scooter is my & my service dog's primary and only transportation.

      @@JeniferCShadrick I’ll have to take a look at it as I haven’t adjusted mine before, but I’m sure it’s like a bike. I’ll post up when I get a chance to look at it.

    What type of washer is the one at the 1:12 mark. My washer broke so I’m trying to get a replacement but I don’t know what to look for

    • @jeffreyned
      @jeffreyned  Місяць тому +1

      It’s a weird washer. It has a flat spot on the inside hole to fit on the axle. But I’m guessing a regular washer would work as long as the hole is big enough to fit over the axle.

    Hey it’s me again so my tire tubes keep over inflating and I can’t quite find the right tire pressure I need all kinds of help

    • @senorchips1138
      @senorchips1138 24 дні тому

      I hope he responds. Ive been having the same issue too. I just blew two inner tubes since i cant get them past 35 psi. The tubes get a ball in one of the corner and then blow. Im thinking of just putting it at 20 psi. The front tire is that psi so maybe that would be good enough?

    What’s the best method to hold the tube in place and place the nut in so it holds so I can apply the rim after

    • @jeffreyned
      @jeffreyned  2 місяці тому

      I put half the tire on the rim first, then I put the tube in starting with the valve stem. Then I jammed my finger behind the valve stem and held it while I put the nut on. Then I stuffed the rest of the tube in around the rim. Then I pushed the outside half of the tire onto the rim and put the ring on after that. Hope that makes sense. I ended up using a tube with a 90 degree bent valve stem. It didn’t have that nut on it and just stayed there while I pushed the other half of the tire onto the rim. You can put a little air into the tube once you have it stuffed in and then push the tire on. That also keeps the valve stem from sliding back out. Hope that helps.

      @@jeffreyned ok so you mentioned you aired it up with what kind of device like a hand pump or a air tank?

    • @jeffreyned
      @jeffreyned  2 місяці тому

       I have an air compressor. But I just put in a little bit of air. You need to be able to push the other half of the tire onto the rim so don’t put very much in.
