Very nice! Got to give Etta James some credit too? He dropped the song on her melody "I'd rather go blind". Without her melody it most likely would have just been another okay version of the tune.
It goes way beyond chord stucture in terms of ripping off "I'd Rather Go Blind" by Etta James. Having had the pleasure of hearing Etta sing the tune live on a few occasions in SF, I just can't listen to this lesson, Jon; sorry, I'd rather go deaf.

Would be nice to have a lesson on how to combine the lead parts with the chords and play everything on one guitar.
Great video, @jonmaclennan! Thanks for sharing and looking forward to the next one!
Jon give us a rundown of your teles!
Yes and also the equipment😁
To not mention I'll never go blind where the music comes from is a crime lol but every time I play it live I mix the two songs and start with etta
Good! Super! I have a request: can you do a BB king style lick please?
Same chord progression and key as Etta james "Id rather go blind"
Yeah, it's I'd rather go blind, but it's also the only hit by 4 Non-Blondes.... how many other songs are 1-2-2-1?
