"YOU FELL DOWN THOSE STAIRS!"
i luv it when Conan yells😂😂😂
I’ve never thought that Colin looked or sounded anything like his dad until this interview.
Same.
It’s in the eyes and the eyes inflections
Ooohh I KNOW.
And he’s got the pretentiousness down pay now too as he gets older
He's very humble like Tom as well.
Good to know Conan is just like the rest of us 😂
Yep, just a lot taller and richer... and funnier.
So relatable with myself as I get in my own head way too much. Overly talking, than feeling awkward, like it's rambling and possibly annoying. Thanks for the laughs, Conan and team.
I know now at 31 years old that I am hardcore neurodivergent (definitely ADHD, possibly autism). I have a small circle of ND family and friends who I can communicate with.
But when I was a teenager is when I first started to feel really anxious around (neurotypical) people and have a hard time reading (neurotypical) social situations.
That's when I got into Conan O'Brien. I would spend most of my days with my family, then stay up late to watch his show alone when they all went to bed.
Conan's comedy persona on his show was kind of ADHD personified.
I enjoy Colin. I always liked him as a actor, but listening to him just speak in a uninterputed frame, I enjoy him.
He sounds just like his father.
Nice to keep Colin's name and face out of the title and thumbnail, to reassure him that people will continue to neither remember his name nor know who he is.
Who?
@@profoundwanderer1441 You know - the guy from the thing.
@@Fantasmister Oh no, he wasn't in THAT was he?
@@HOTD108_ Nah, that was the other guy. You know, the one with the hair.
Well, he is So and So's son
He was a baby-faced 2LT in "Band of Brothers". He played the role so well, I felt the awkwardness between him the grizzled veterans.
Never seen Colin speak but he’s a great conversationalist
He really is. He is someone I would like to sit down and speak with.
In the late 90s, an acquaintance and I ran into Harvey Keitel on a street in Tribeca (lower NYC). The acquaintance excitedly gasped, "I love your work!" Unexpectedly, Harvey stopped and stared with penetrating eyes and asked quietly, "Which of my roles did you like the most?" My acquaintance's face went blank and then red, as she attempted to come up with an answer. Harvey's expression turned subtly disappointed. He glanced at me and I said, "I don't know much of your work, but I saw The Piano. You were brilliant in that." He looked at us, smiled slightly, then said, "Thanks. Have a good day," then kept walking.
Lesson learned: actors are people and no one worth their salt enjoys empty compliments.
Conan is one of the key pillars keeping this world from falling apart with the combination of his humor, sharpness and human-ness.
He's really fun yet grounded, and I bet he has kept society from crumbling in more ways than people would ever think. Just watching him makes me feel reassured.
If it's got that far that you think Conan's the clue holding it together, don't expect it to last
A bit much....
WTF are you talking about!? Are you into cults much?
Conan O'Brien is a hilarious guy, alright. But putting him on a pedestal nobody - Conan included - can reach, is just silly at best or reason for concern at worst...
Stop. Please.
LOL you should have ur own show ur a funny guy
Just like his dad, I believe every single character he plays. Was blown away by his acting in Fargo and he stole that season of Dexter he was on. Just incredible!
Yeah, he's really good!
Yeah, first time I registered him was in Dexter. Definitely one of the best villains of the show.
It's wild how much you can hear tom hanks' voice in his.
Ever see Tom's brother
Quite the shadow he lives under. Very together. Great actor too.
Chet Hanks, on the other hand 😔
Colin hits the sweet spot of a successful working actor. I never get super excited 'OMG! Colin Hanks has a movie out!' But I almost always watch a movie and if Colin has a role, I say 'Gosh, Colin was good in that.' All the way from Band of Brothers up until most recently in The Offer, I can't recall ever being disappointed seeing him in a role.
Post Sona's Hindenburg bit please!
I want to see everybody's reaction to it
My first memory of Collin in any show was in Band of Brothers and he nailed it.
i remember Colin from the Roswell series! Great casting. He matches the description of his character in the books so well!
Upload the hindenburg bit from this episode it had me crying!
Orange County is heavily underrated. Colin and Jack Black are magic.
Yeah when i saw orange county in theaters i thought wow he looks like a young tom hanks. Lol then i found out he was, i never forgot his name. To me Colin hanks is his own actor.
Loved it.
That movie sucks. Jack Black was a degenerate in that movie, surprise surprise.
Then they reteamed for King Kong.
@@NoUA-camName1 lol what are you 80? "That young man is a degenerate, get off my lawn". Lame AF.
To be fair, Vin Diesel gave a good performance as Caparzo in Saving Private Ryan.
I think actors find it refreshing when someone points out something different like "And you did your own stunt, in Serpico, when falling down those steps". On the other hand when we think we're talking too much, it can wrench our guts enough to want to quickly escape the scene.
Colin Hanks is a fine actor!
Colin Hanks was so good in A Friend of the Family. The whole cast was. 👍🙌
Conan, you are one of my favorite people. Thank you for your quick wit and hilarity that you always bring to the table. Truly inspiring.
I was just watching Heat the other day.
You doesnt rewatching it every 2 years??
one of the best podcasts hands down
Thats the dude from the O.C the valley episode season one really enjoyed his work. never heard of his father!
Hoo ahh! -Al Pacino
Really enjoyed Colin Hank's acting over the years. I always believe him.
Colin Hanks doesn't have to worry about me not knowing him because I'm a huge fan of his. I've seen many of his movies and tv shows. Presently, I'm watching him on 'A Friend of the Family', and he's amazing in it!
I watched Colin for the first time on Life in Pieces and i LOVE him right away 🖤
I believed Vin Diesel when he said, “I am Groot.”
This reminds me of the Key and Peele sketch with Colin😂 "I just don't BELIEVE you"
He is so much a young Tom
Brilliant!
It’s so funny how when I played this video and was just listening to the audio,I thought to myself that this guy sounds so much like Tom Hanks and I find he IS no other than Tom Hanks’ own son! I must say I have never heard Colin speak before this video, but the fact that I could tell within a second that he sounded just like Tom shows the father son bond must be very strong 😇
Orange County is a highly under appreciated comedy
3:12 LOVE Sona's laugh!!!!
1:21 gives me total Superbad "we could be THAT guy!" vibes 😂
I saw you in something Colin and it was really good. Dexter as a serial killer. And you obviously got your dad's acting genes because you were awesome in it. Tbh tho that was my favourite show anyway so I'm bit biased. But soon as I saw you doing your creepy killer routine I was hooked. Great actor
Love Conan
Great story about meeting Al Pacino! Your impersonation was pretty good ✅
He was great in Fargo! Love that show and him in it
Loved him in season 1 of Fargo!
And here I am still remembering Colin with bit in a Superego podcast over a decade ago.
And Vin Diesel talks so slow, doing Hamlet you must have gotten out at like 4:00 a.m.
Collin is a stand alone great actor, who cares if his dad just happens to be famous.
Sounds exactly like his dad
SNL did a whole sketch about a scene like this "oh, not that..." with Mitch Pileggi.
AD Skinner 😉
In Band of Brothers there is the scene when Colin Hanks' character walks into the command post and he stands in the doorway...everytime I see it I say, "Hello...my dad told me to report here for a part in a war movie?"
I would faint
best Fargo season!
In addition to acting and producing, Mr. Hanks would make a great therapist to celebrities. He did a great job of counseling Conan on the Pacino encounter.
no full vid of the podcast?
He was recently really good in The Offer.
Been there done that…lol!
Edit: Don't argue with the sad boi's in the replies. Just let them do their thing
At some point this podcast WILL overtake Joe Rogan. I can feel it in my feelers
nope
No
It should
I recognize him immediately 🤣. The good guys.
As one of Tom Hanks's other sons, I found this profoundly relatable
I remember him from Band of Brothers
🤣 I love Conan and I could honestly see him acting this way 😆
falling down stairs was probably pretty intense for Pacino, more so than just conversation with another character
Self love by Colin Hanks. So deep. Go man. You are hilarious. Keep loving yourself and patting yourself on the back.
Hey, that's Tom Hank's kid!
Not many people saw it, but The Good Guys is GOLD.
I discovered you in Dexter and found out who your dad was that way and have seen you in a bunch of stuff since
Dr. Northerner here...
Conan is most definitely a dude on the Spectrum.
Spectrum Multi-Vitamins! I recommend Centrum Silver for Mr. High Anxiety.
Dr. Northerner lover the Gummy Version.
Ask for them by name!
Dr. Outta Here
Conan was the only late night show I ever really really liked he is funny
3:49 If Conan would’ve reappeared just as Pacino was saying that-And then said: _”Just when I thought I was out… They pull me back in”…._
He would’ve became a God.
2:59 When Conan asked him about that scene-If Pacino would’ve said: _”Don’t ask me about my business, Conan”…_
GOAT confirmation.
Conan I don’t know if you’ve ever played the game Pokémon go, but it’s like a video game that interacts with Google Maps so like you walk around and landmarks around town are landmarks in the game. I was walking around my neighborhood just seeing what the game does and someone had like a little display in their yard almost like Halloween decorations, but they keep it up all year, and Pokémon made a monument out of it is so funny. Lol
@Telegram±①③③⑥②⑥⑤⑥①⓪⑧ Another funny joke. This isn’t really just funny but before the pandemic hit, I had myself checked out for mental health in the hospital lol and one of the people I met there told me he deliberately got into a motorcycle accident from to sue for money. He kept seeing those personal injury commercials, and he couldn’t resist. He got just enough money to have a kid then the entire time he is in the hospital He was kind of rolling in his grave, because of who he married instead of holding out for basically a chance at each and every nurse in the hospital.
I like how when Colin's doing a voice or exaggerated expressions, he's basically doing a Tom Hanks impression unintentionally.
I know who you are Colin. I enjoyed your work in Al Ruddy's The Offer amongst other films or series you have done. You were in Cast Away right? Kidding..
He's great in 11:14 and I think, Dexter? Or some show like that he was on an episode
Your assistant knows you so well. 😂😂😂
Get Pacino on the podcast! And get Bill Hader to do impressions of him!
oh my god... ever since Gourley pointed out that Conan makes that wet "p-tugh" sound before his sentences, it's all I hear now and it's kind of starting to get to me 😂
This son is great.... There's another one though..... 😂😂
Colin is looking more and more like his Dad
Colin was in Mad Men. I remember that and I believed him in that!
FARGOOOOOOO 🤩😎🥳
Yes!
Would love an episode with Chet as well
Colin Hanks looks like his father and has his inflections and mannerisms.
which movie of van diesel did they not buy?
I really like Colin, I think he's got it, he just hasn't been in enough movies, at least more serious roles that would put him on the map even more.
Also, I can't understand how can people remember the actor and say they like them but can't remember what movies they were in, and don't get me started on people confusing two actors because they kinda look the same, Ryan Reynolds is not Ryan Gosling people!
Had to get that off my chest! 😅
Vin Deisel watching this clip is now heartbroken
I thought Colin was great in Orange County What a hilarious movie with a great cast I didn't find out until quite a while after that movie that he is Tom's son I watched Bosom Buddies as a kid and I didn't notice any major similarities between the Jr. Hanks and the dude I thought looked good in drag Also we didn't all have the internet in our pocket 20 yrs ago when Orange County came out so he was just an actor (without an IMDb or Wikipedia page)
Orange County!! Great movie!!
Colin Hanks is actually a really good actor.
Really hoping Conan told Pacino to have some good time before he left
The Good Guys is still a favorite of mine that got canceled way too soon.
I remember this guy from Orange County I think it was? With Jack Black,,, early 2000s..?
Shut myself up all the time, lol...
One time I saw him at a restaurant in Austin Texas. He was eating alone at night
I remember that guy! He was in Dexter right? I believed him
Hanks got some kinda Robert Downey Jr vibe here. With maybe alil Carson Daily? Eitherway, i can’t remember where i know him from
Tune in next week to see Vin Diesel on Conan needs a friend
Hanks was great on Dexter.
I actually liked him in Life In Pieces.
LOL "Hey Vin Deisel, I believe you every time" has NEVER EVER been uttered in the history of the planet!
One of the worst, most awkward conversation mistakes I ever saw Conan make was unintentionally shutting down George Takei mid-sentence while he is explaining the concern of replacing Ricardo Montalban with a white english actor as Khan, to tell him "I don't care what you're saying" - it was intended as a joke and a totally different context but came out so very wrong
Yeah, but it was George Takei, so maybe a Freudian slip.
