Wallah, if we were really doing exactly the way beloved Muft Menk expounds, we would be enjoying certain spiritual and physical proximity to ArRahmaan. At night when one stands notwithstanding the biological demand of his, her body sticking to sleeping bed, one would exactly be seeing his, her Lord with no image of His but mere light or nuur coming to the eyes seeing a glittering vacuum above the heavens as he fails to actualise the Throne. As one ponders over the verses he recites, he, she begins to feel the thrilling of the skin from the heart to the head hair and all the chest part followed automatically by the floods of tears to the extent that one feels so sorry for man being short of thanks to Allah and therefore asks for forgiveness. The amount of sweetness he, she enjoys at that moment is DIAMETRICALLY incomparable to any pleasure of the world no matter the plight of life he, she is going to face from morning to the next night. He, she faces the hard moment with some spiritual ease full of optimism that Allah is the only unfailling Solution to the plight and the effort being just asbaabi. In short one lives comfortably despite the difficult time, and definitely solution would come in a way one never imagined. Mufti Menk explains hidden facts that one may discover through sincere tahajjud, may Allah reward his efforts here and in the hereafter amiin

When is the third part of the night?

Everyday night at 2.10.am to 4.30 am before fajir

Count hours from Isha to Fajr.. and divide it by 3. And the last 3rd hours will be the last part.

Aslm, I think the time is calculated from Maghrib to Fajr, count the hours. Divide by 3, that is the last 1/3. A quick way to remember is it is the time just before Fajr. So one could wake up 45 mins before Fajr and Allah knows best
