- On this week's episode of the podcast, freeCodeCamp founder Quincy Larson interviews Ben Awad, a game developer who creates developer tutorials on UA-cam and TikTok.
I hope you enjoy our conversation.
Can you guess what bass line I'm playing on my bass during the intro? It's from a 1979 song.

My question to 10x programmers is how do you study/learn?
As in what is the way you study/learn(reading, writing it down, doing, actively recalling, explaining in your own words, etc, etc)?
For how long do you study/learn a day?
And how often do you refresh/repeat topics you have already studied/learnt?
10x programmers is a myth. Just put as much time you want and can on learning things.
@@etypltThey don't have to be ltierally a "10x programmer", just a very good programmer.
And I'm trying to learn how to learn effectively as currently I'm very slow.
@@ivankovachev8835 just keep on coding is the answer. Play around making projects you like and want to make.
@@ivankovachev8835 i just started seriously as well. i'd say in the beginning go at your own pace and how you feel most comfortable learning. then after you're familiar with fundamentals, you can look into the pros' models. at least, that's how im doing it
they dont study lol they just actively toy with things and only focus on building and not things like pretty ui designs
This is my first frecodecamp podcast and i really like quincy

Hey freecodecamp can please upload a Computer graphic course ..
He strikes me as a mid-level developer that got famous from TikTok. I've seen some of his tutorials and unfortunately he didn't really seem to know what he was talking about or just brushed through a lot of details.
This is most developers that got famous or gained a following via social media. If they were really 10x programmers they wouldn't be this actively creating content.
@@jayscaping yeah, a lot of juniors got famous for posting content to other people that want to learn how to code.
Who cares
Have a media following > being a better developer. You are more likely to earn more with more followers.
@@DanielNyong Civilization was built by people who added value to society, not extracted it. You should be driven by more than just money.
I'd love to see a collaboration between you and Dave's garage. He wrote task manager and windows calculator or something for Microsoft...great channel one of his best vids is the fork bomb pc crashing 11 charachter hack 😂.
Haven't touched grass or people for a good a year now
He is what? Nah. I have my doubts. Where is the proof?
Fake news. It has been debunked.
I love this interview. Damn.
What does mean 10x developer? by the way

When i was like 17 (three years ago), ben awad was my biggest inspiration, I'm know a fullstack dev and i love his content, hope one day i can meet my hero ❤🔥🔥
Please launch PowerShell course
Next let’s do a dev who drinks water daily!
Isn’t 8hrs normal?
Actually 4 years is (2/13)th of his life! Interesting, I know
he looks so happy i'm happy for him
We need PowerShell course
This "10x developer" thing doesn't make any sense tbh..
Hours of sleep means nothing - not sure why everyone makes such a big deal about it, be it 4 hours or 9 hours.
Because we have science backing up the importance of sleep in many different aspects regarding cognitive and athletic performance. Hours of sleep mean everything.
9 hours of sleep 😴 Normal people like me can't do this.
How hard is it to get nine hours of sleep? Just give up gaming or the Marvel cinematic universe.
@@TokyoXtreme Not everyone can sleep properly/easily x(
no such thing as a 10x dev
