So the thing about the manhole cover- the framerate of the footage isn’t fast enough to get two frames of it moving, so we have a minimum of how fast but no max. It may have vaporized- but more likely it was *moving too fast to be vaporized* which is wild.
It must suck to be that one alien that gets hit by the manhole cover.

With that "pick one, the rest conquer" meme, the problem is if you pick Caesar or Napoleon, the other side still has either Caesar or Napoleon. No one else matters.
If you just want to limit things to one continent, otherwise you're better off with someone either with a navy, or who actually appreciate the importance of one. One dimensional landlubbers all.
Listen EU4 teaches so much you have no idea... Because of that game I've learned about different "institutions" like global trade, manufactories, enlightenment, industrialization as well as religion (protestan, reformed, anglican) and countries that existed and wars that happened... It's actually insane...

The Seven Years’ War originated from the Third Silesian War in 1756 as Prussia and Austria once again fought over the contested area of Silesia. Because of the series of alliances that happened to implicate colonial empires (eg Britain and France), it quickly became a global war of empire, with the attention shifting from Austria and Prussia to Britain and France. However, the British and French were already fighting in North America as a result of the “French and Indian War” which had already started in 1754, so this fighting became a theatre of the larger Seven Years’ War just as the “Third Silesian War” did.

17:14 did I just remember it wrong or was a small genital in ancient civilizations really just a sign of superior intellect? I'm no art historian, but that's what I picked up as a "funny story" about why that part was small. I'd be happy to hear the real art historians on this.

The seven years war, and France's involvement in the American Independence may have led to the war of 1812 where the Americans tried to annex Canada. By that time, French Canadian culture was very different than that in France.
Also, I think the French Canadians getting the vote (before the British granted it to the Irish Catholics) was one of the unforgivable acts during the American war of "You are not the boss of me"

I really don't get the "there were already people there" critique. You can discover a people. Discovery is a relative thing. You have to be the first person Is in your Culture, or maybe cultural sphere, To find a place, people, thing or idea. And bring word of that finding back home. If you left Earth on an expedition and found an alien civilization, You could damn well say you discovered an alien civilization, And extraterrestrial life. Even though the aliens sure as shit knew that they were there the entire time. And from their perspective Whatever starship captain bumped into us in the void would have discovered us.

Arguments and accusing Poland of starting World War 2 is dumb and not true. First of all, Poland did not invade but annexed, without resistance a piece of land that was taken in 1920 by a violent invasion of Czechoslovak army. The answer to your question could be more elaborated but it's quite simple, typical territorial dispute between two neighboring states that regained independence. Czechs used parliamentary election in Poland as an excuse, the disputed land was about to get population plebiscite, Poles were unable to resist having major war against Bolshevik Russia somewhere else and local population was never given chance to choose their nationality. In 1938 Poland did the same, used weakness of collapsing Czechoslovak state, issued ultimatum and annexed the disputed land. Germany invaded Czechoslovakia in 1938. In fact, it was Germany and its leader, Adolf Hitler, who pressured Czechoslovakia to cede the Sudetenland, a region with a large ethnic German population, to Germany. This was part of Hitler's expansionist policies. The Allies, particularly Britain and France, reacted by signing the Munich Agreement in September 1938, which allowed Germany to annex the Sudetenland in exchange for a promise of no further territorial expansion. This policy of appeasement was an attempt to avoid war, but it ultimately failed to prevent the outbreak of World War2. Poland since the early 1933 to 1939 did everything to avoid war with Germany, the Poles even refused Hitler when he proposed an invasion of Soviet Union, the Polish government refused in order to have peace with USSR. The non-aggression pact between the Republic of Poland and the USSR was signed in Moscow on July 25, 1932 for three years. Despite the extension of its validity in May 1934 until the end of 1945, the pact was broken on September 17, 1939. 90 years ago, on January 26, 1934, a Polish-German declaration of non-violence was signed in Berlin, which the Germans denounced in April 1939. The agreement with Germany was analogous to a similar non-aggression pact with the Soviet Union of July 25, 1932.
I would like to throw out the theory that maybe hapsburgs werent ugly but what we see today as ugly maybe the elongated chin and other details were seen as beatuiful and a symbol of status, Kinad like a gigachad meme of ouer era so they royals may have just asked to do just that but now we think they looked like that and we think they are ugly, pesant rumoors and slander may have also mixed in with ouer belife of what happend and how it was seen
