I did wrapify. I had a full wrap. It was easy money but what I did not like was, you only get so many miles a day. When you meet those miles, you don’t get paid and they’re still getting free advertising.
I'm hoping to get a new EV come October. My first new car. I'm fine with a full wrap only paying me the first 25mi cause... Paint is protected. "Cooler" look than just a flat color. Pay still offsets the payments/insurance. It's perfect for what I want to do. The car I'm hoping to get is 30k. I'm going to pay 10-15k upfront to minimize the payments. The wrap will pay for the insurance and what's left of it will go on top of whatever my minimum payment is. Once the car is paid off, the wrap comes off and is replaced with my OWN wrap. Full neon green baby 😍
Just a few of my many issues with Wrapify. You're correct about only pay so many miles. My campaign is 25 campaign miles limit per day and 10 hotzone miles limit per day. I deliver Amazon and drive around 200 miles per day. Wrapify will only pay for 35. Plus, when they wrapped my 2020 Kicks, they peeled paint off the tailgate. They say they'll fix it when the wrap is removed. We shall see. Pay issues, incorrect check amounts. No pay stubs to see what you made. Lots of unpaid miles. Lots of time with support to try and get pay due me. I finally told them that I'm not babysitting them anymore. But I will inform everyone of my experience with the wrapify ripoff.
Yeah, I'm so glad you posted this. I drive a lot of miles 8 days a month so I was considering this. But if there's a daily cap then that's a no-go for me. I travel the interstate too so their loss.
If you combine Wrapify plus delivery gig mileage, it makes it worthwhile. The gig miles are tax deductible, plus you get a Wrapify payment per mile. 0.56 plus 0.21, plus those dollar a mile doordash deliveries, you might cover your driving expenses.
@@CoachTheGhost it actually is money in your pocket. You pay taxes. If you get more on your refund or don't need to pay as much in quarterly taxes then you've earned money. Look at the long term hun not the short term.
Wrapify payment is capped at 35 miles per day. Aside from helping pay for SOME of your gas, Wrapify will make no real difference in the bottom line of most gig work.
I drive exactly 100 miles per day, and I am really thinking about doing this. Being married and I am 49 years old, I just don't care about looking cool anymore.
Mike, there is a daily cap on payouts. I had it on my my campaign as well. It's 25 miles (see at 1:08). So even if you drive 100 miles /day, you only get paid for 25/day. there is also a cap on Boost pay (10 miles - at 3:36). So if you drove all 25 in the boost area, you'd only get 10 at the 1.5x. Now this may vary by campaign. But it's consistent with the one I ran and the one I was offered here in Chicago.
Yeah, the bigger wraps can have higher mileage; it depends on each campaign, but this one was 35miles cap. 25cap for regular pay 10cap for 1.5x pay. I did this campaign in Pitt, so I know.
Currently on a campaign for wrapify. Google tracks miles better than the app. Keep track of your own mileage is my word of advice. My commute should max value daily including the Hotspot and peak driving hours. My earnings don't reflect my driving. Might have to get a lawyer if the numbers aren't right at the end. I'm not one to play about my money under contracts.
My spreadsheets show the miles I drive daily(about 200). The app earnings show what they pay daily, usually about ($9.00 for the 35 miles). There is one HUGE problem. If I only drive campaign zone and no, or less than 10 hotzone miles, I get paid nothing unless I message support daily. Even when I do meet mileage requirements, the app may not show earnings. It's NOT MY JOB to babysit the app and message support DAILY to get my money. Messaging support should be for RARE occasions, not to turn in DAILY miles driven. The sooner my victimization by the Wrapify con job ends, the better. I just hope they stand by their "word" and repair the paint damage done to my car on installation of the wrap.
There's something else I want to add. My house is within the campaign zone for my campaign, yet there have been days that I showed earnings for horzone but nothing for campaign zone miles. How do I show driving miles in the hotzone without showing miles in the campaign zone to get there? Their app is severely flawed, and they do nothing to fix it. I've reinstalled the app repeatedly and even restarted my phone before app use. Nothing helps. Support has told me they are monitoring my account to ensure I get paid, but nothing is corrected without my contacting them in each instance. I also get no pay stub itemizing what I was paid for, without requesting one from support. It's obvious that Wrapify makes their money by ripping off drivers. The trouble is that you don't know until you are locked into a contract. I wish I knew how to make these UA-cam videos so I could show you all I have mentioned here. Including screenshots of all of the messages with support.
Great recap. If I had a slightly newer car this would be worth it as I live in the center of the massive city of Houston. I drive to the gym 5 days a week, clear across town to my 9-5 and do gig work.
So... they have a CAP on miles per day but they earn from people seeing the ad when you drive more than they pay for... clever... I drive about 200 miles per day when I door dash all day (14 hours or so.) So they will only pay me for the first 25 miles or whatever? That's not cool... I want to be paid the whole time I'm on the road... Am I misunderstanding something?...

I did this campaign in Pitt, too; I got about $400 for four months. Here's to hoping we get some full campaign options soon! From what I could tell it, let me do the 10miles in the 1.5x multiplier & 25miles would payout normal after. I'm hoping a bigger campaign will come our way that allows more mileage.
Next year I plan on buying a small transit van to turn into a mini camper. I was thinking of doing this because I will be driving a lot. But if they have a daily cap on this, it may not be worth it.

I sent you proof per your request and don’t expect as much in the future. Definitely worth the trouble and remove carefully my ad afterwords for an additional $50.00. It will help with those ridiculous car payments now so yah do it for sure.
I agree with you. Its a bit intrusive or at least not very private. They are getting alot for paying out that little especially the weekly check ins and pics. that would be annoying if the pay out was too low. Just my opinion on this one. Great videos!

Thank you for this beautiful video. I currently live in Chicago and am definitely considering a service to market my vehicle with. I agree with the full wrap, especially for high mileage drivers. Might as well get the bang for your buck. I am curious to know if you have a video on the services of Carvertise. Either way, you earned a sub. Thank you 👍🏽
Remembering you mention a while ago that you were considering putting your Passat on Turo because you'd be buying a new car in 2022. Will you be doing any videos about your car shopping process and how it differs from the regular car shopping process since your car is your office (gig work using your vehicle)?
First thing to ask if how many miles you’ll be driving per year. 40-50k miles? You want to find something around 130-150k miles. 20-30k miles? You can get something closer to 175k-200k. Next thing to ask is what is your budget. The less you spend, the more your long term costs. If you can afford a ~$10k car in cash, you’re golden. Buy a 6-7 year old prius private party. Why 6-7? Because you want to keep gig cars for 2-3 years before they rack up too many miles. Prius batteries have a lifespan of about 10 years. When it hits 10 years old, the resale value will tank and it will be hard to sell. No one’s really in the market for 10+ year old priuses. Even selling when it’s 9 years old is a lot better than 10. Although they can be hard to find, honda insights are also really great hybrids, and you *might* even be able to find one for under $9k that’s worth getting. Would have to be a 2013-2014, as they stopped making them for a few years after 2014. A 2013 might be worth it only because I have seen some listed with decent mileage for like $7-$8k, so even if you drove it til it’s battery died it would still be a pretty great deal. If you can’t buy a prius or insight in cash, how much can you put down and what car payment can you afford? I would try to put at least 50% down. You’ll need a 2-3 year loan so you can sell it private party when you’re done, so run the numbers to see what those payments look like. The good news is you’re paying less in interest with a shorter loan, and you can always pay it off early. The bad news is the payment will be pretty hefty. If your price range is 9k+, get the Prius or insight. If it’s under 9k, unless you can find an insight, go for a corolla or civic. $7-8k is probably the sweet spot for a corolla, $6.5-7.5k for a civic, because they’ll depreciate less and still be super reliable. The toyota will hold its value slightly better, so it evens out. Even though you could find better deals private party, it’s definitely preferable to put 50-60% down on a prius from a dealer than to buy a corolla or civic with cash private party. Maybe not if you’re driving
I don't see how it's never worth it if your driving for your job. Your earnings are technically how long it takes your vehicle out of commission for, as in, how long it took them to put it on, take it of, took you to drive there and back. So overall you got $300 to take you car off the road for 1-2ish days, since you had to take it in 2 times to get it put on and taken off. Overall its better then not doing it if you look at the metrics total mileage for that process.
Always enjoy the work you put out there Mike, but come on....what a MISSED opportunity. My overall take? You are camping out on UA-cam, running errands and going to the gym instead of putting in an EASY 20-25 hours a week on various delivery apps.
Very helpful video. This might be a recent change, but from what I've read, Wrapify caps the miles they pay for at 25mi/day, so the 100mi/day scenario in the video is inaccurate. Also might've missed it but I didn't hear why it turned into 4mos for you - was there a delay in getting the wrap off?
I think ima give this a try once school starts I would drive 36 miles a day 5 days a week and if I went to friends house then back home that would be an extra 30 miles in that day
I'd do a full wrap just to protect my car from rock chips for free. I'd also be curious to know if my insurance company would consider that a modification?
So how exactly do they know if you’re driving around the wrapped vehicle? What if you switch vehicles and say hop into a work truck?? I drive a big rig and commute 90 miles round trip to and from work mon-fri.
Don’t do it. App did not correctly track mileage. My car was damaged when they removed the wrap and Wrapify is now trying to tell me that there was pre-existing damage when there was not and I have pictures proving that there wasn’t.
LA here...I was offered 1 gig for a 25m/day cap and a boost for 10 miles in an area I don't even drive. That week my car was in the shop....haven't gotten another offer since. I don't mind it....even if it's 200/month that's almost half my car payment and worth it....but at least offer me something where I actually work.
I read several comments but couldnt find these answers. Do you get to pick if you want full wrap and what you want to advertise? or does the app just randomly pick for you ? Also does whatever company you advertise pay in full for the wrap to be installed as well as uninstalled ? Thanks
based on reviews on the app people have had issues with tracking miles. Did you have any issues with tracking miles? You also stated that the contract was for 3 months but had the wrap an extra month did they pay you for the attention month of advertising?
Sometimes our campaigns do get granted extensions, and in this case, you would have the option to leave the wrap on the vehicle for the allotted extension period. You would get an extension bonus and be paid the regular earnings as well!
downloaded the app, allowed all the requirements that they were asking for, and they still can't locate my GPS thing. I have driven over 100 miles since the day I downloaded the app, and they still say that I need to drive minimum of 50 miles in order to get qualified
I'm less worried about everything here and more worried about the wrap designs being garbage and the rear windshield of my car being obstructed. You can make any sponsor look good but a lot of wraps I've seen can make any car look as unappealing as a Bell Brothers Ford Panel van. You're already designing a wrap for my body, might as well make it look good.
@@bradheld7927 thanks for response Brad. Was just curious because I've been thinking of doing wrapify here in San Diego California. @@danielgreen3471 LOL. I did a couple of Rideshare rides while in my Vizzy wrap (it was orange) I had to pre-text everyone telling them about the actual color/description of my car (since it didnt match the app), and that they should be checking the license plate as well. If you do get a bright/unique wrap, it will make you easier to find, but the wrap wont match the color of the car in Uber.
@@danielgreen3471 I do Uber eats / other gig jobs here in San Diego as well. I just got my first Wrapify campaign and will wrap my car in March. I got a turbo tax campaign. The pay seems pretty low, but I assume it will be around $120-140 for the month I’ve been assigned. I don’t mind that’s pretty much the gas I use for my gig jobs.
Isn't wrapping your car with logos and advertisement agains the terms of service (TOS) for rideshare on Uber and Lyft? I am not sure about delivery like Uber Eats and DD and Grub Hub? Do they also have these TOS conditions?
Knowing what I know now, I would never have had my car wrapped in the first place. After my campaign is done, I have to be sure they repair the damage done on installation.
@samuelparent8703 Two months after removal and all they have done is ask for my zip code so they can find a detail shop near me. That was three weeks ago and nothing more. Last week, I traded the car off. I lost money on the trade because of the damage. WRAPIFY IS A RIPOFF. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. THEY WILL CHEAT YOU OUT OF MONEY AND DESTROY THE VALUE OF YOUR CAR WITH PAINT DAMAGE.
Safety first. I can't be putting something on my rear windshield that will be obstructing my view. Then again, given how many people here tailgate with their high beams on, it might actually be the better option.
Is there a homing device attached to your car that tells them how many miles you drove in a day?? You didn't mention how Wrapify even knows how far you drove???
They track use through the wrapify app. You have to allow it in order for you to get paid. Wrapify is trash though. They never paid my husband so he got his car wrapped for nothing. I would suggest Carvertise, I’ve had luck using them and they offer more opportunities to earn more money throughout your campaign with like meets and photo challenges. My last campaign, I got to shoot a commercial where I had to just drive around for 2 hours lol.
RIPOFFY My car was damaged on wrap installation and I have to leave it that way until the wrap is removed. I'm not happy and will never deal with this company again. Another driver told me that Wrapify did not repair the paint damage on their car. So we will see what happens. About 5 weeks after removal the damage team contacted me and asked for my zip code so they could locate detail shop near me. That was three weeks ago and nothing more. I traded the car last week. And got less for it because they have to fix the paint.
It's now 6 months since I traded the damaged car off. I did hear from wrapify this week, WITH ANOTHER CAMPAIGN OFFER!!! The a-holes have totally forgotten that they screwed up my car. During my 3 months with them, I made just over $400. No where near what they promise. I took a $4000 hit on my car for the paint damage caused by Wrapify(RipOffy). STAY AWAY from these clowns.

I did it and I loved it. I got a 100 dollar bonus called the SWARM and I only needed to drive for an hour.
So I drive gig apps full time ( 100 miles a day ) so I could do this too and get paid . Sounds good to me .
Check into mileage caps, though.
Just think, it pays for your gas and then some.
Something to think about.
I been on Carvertise for months, 0 offers
This plus gig work and a regular job can literally double your income or add like another 1/3 if used correctly
Is this worth it now with how gas prices have skyrocketed?
Life changing
In Florida there’s a cap lite campaign 40 a week boost 10 mile cap X1.5
I wonder if I can do this as a truck driver who does 500 to 600 miles per day
Always enjoy the work you put out there Mike, but come on....what a MISSED opportunity. My overall take? You are camping out on UA-cam, running errands and going to the gym instead of putting in an EASY 20-25 hours a week on various delivery apps.
It says right in the app that the max you can earn is 450/month with the full wrap.
Smh 🤮
There's always a catch...they know you'll do more miles than they pay for this way...
Full wrap is offered LOL
Very helpful video. This might be a recent change, but from what I've read, Wrapify caps the miles they pay for at 25mi/day, so the 100mi/day scenario in the video is inaccurate. Also might've missed it but I didn't hear why it turned into 4mos for you - was there a delay in getting the wrap off?
EXXXACTLY! THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE...
I’m trying to get on Wrapify now.
How did people qualify? Do you have to drive with Qualifying Mode open the whole time?
im gonna do this alongside doordash to get some extra money
I driver over 100 Mile a day doing gigs work , I can use it
This dude just drove around for 4 months with my face on his car 😂😂😭😭
I don’t even work their anymore! 😂
So how exactly do they know if you’re driving around the wrapped vehicle? What if you switch vehicles and say hop into a work truck?? I drive a big rig and commute 90 miles round trip to and from work mon-fri.
They install a beacon in your car... Without telling you about it.
Probably Odometer readings
They track you via their app on your phone.
Thank you!
How did you uninstall your wrap? I used CARVERTISE.
I drive that many miles in a month.
Hi is wrapify the best company to go with?
This is worth it for me I do 500miles a week and that's 2000miles a month
Can you pick up people while driving for Uber and Lyft with wrapify on your car?
Does it cap you on miles per day?
Are there any referral codes or links when signing up that might benefit us, either the new driver or referrer?
This might be perfect for me I do like 3000 miles 2 months cuz I do food delivery
Don’t do it. App did not correctly track mileage. My car was damaged when they removed the wrap and Wrapify is now trying to tell me that there was pre-existing damage when there was not and I have pictures proving that there wasn’t.
This is cool!
I also have nickelytics installed....no offers yet
@@texasjatt7488 it's 7 Mos. Later. Did they give you any offers by now?
When the current campaign contract is done, will we get another campaign offer?
I read several comments but couldnt find these answers. Do you get to pick if you want full wrap and what you want to advertise? or does the app just randomly pick for you ?
Also does whatever company you advertise pay in full for the wrap to be installed as well as uninstalled ?
Thanks
You will be paired with campaigns and can choose which ones to accept. The costs associated with installation and removals are covered by us.
based on reviews on the app people have had issues with tracking miles.
Heads up Mike, you've got crypto spammers in your comments.
downloaded the app, allowed all the requirements that they were asking for, and they still can't locate my GPS thing. I have driven over 100 miles since the day I downloaded the app, and they still say that I need to drive minimum of 50 miles in order to get qualified
That part takes a long time. In my case, it was because there were no campaigns in my area. Im getting ready for one now.
How do they know you are moving around?
They track you via their app on your phone.
10:19 will wrapify pay for 100 miles a day though?
Do you get to pick and choose or decline an app if you don't want to do what they have at the moment or do you have e to take what they give you.
did they clear the wrap off your car after the contract was done?
Also, it forever to get my whole payout, they kept giving me piece meal payments
can we do it and still work for Lyft and Uber?
Does wrapify give you an option of which company will be put on your vehicle?
They offer different campaigns by market. I got Vizzy here in Chicago, and was offered Zoom currently. I suppose it varies by market.
@@bradheld7927 thanks for response Brad. Was just curious because I've been thinking of doing wrapify here in San Diego California. I drive for Uber eats and get a ton of deliveries to the beach during the summer. Many times it's going to people on the beach but they'll walk to parking lot area. Was thinking, if I could get an Uber wrapify, I would be a lot easier to notice than them looking for a silver Nissan rogue lol. Thanks again
That's another advantage. Its really easy to find your car in a big parking lot.
I own a chip route and drive a box truck, does anyone know of they would wrap that?
Isn't wrapping your car with logos and advertisement agains the terms of service (TOS) for rideshare on Uber and Lyft? I am not sure about delivery like Uber Eats and DD and Grub Hub? Do they also have these TOS conditions?
How will they know?
is this a 1099 gig?
How much driving would people need to drive ?
Mike what haven't you done?? 😮😮
They could wrap my back window because my rearview is a mirror or camera view.
so how did taxes work? 9:00
I would be curious if anyone gets to do anything but a lite wrap...Its all i was offered in Colorado.
What part? I’m in Denver so I was wondering about what’s available
Do you have a phone number for customers service for wrapify?
Knowing what you know now, would you go with a partial wrap or would you do a full wrap?
good question
Knowing what I know now, I would never have had my car wrapped in the first place. After my campaign is done, I have to be sure they repair the damage done on installation.
@@ntmd8or100did they?
It'll be painful to clean the sticky gel on the paint when you remove the wraps.
You leave your car with them and They remove it for you.
They limit to 25 miles per day
Where can l get
The wrappify job?
At 21 cents per mile is rediculous having gas at over $3 a gallon plus wear n tear on ur car
They cap the miles at 25 a day, so unfortunately your math is impossible
How do I apply
Can you drive Uber and doordash while it’s on?
Dont see why not. They dont need to know that you wrapped your car and plus uber shows plate number when picking up a passenger.

RIPOFFY
My car was damaged on wrap installation and I have to leave it that way until the wrap is removed.
Can I wrap my lease car ?:) or do I need to own it?
That's up to the lease owner
I drive 1000 miles a week
It’s a good concept but all the companies are too greedy. Make your car look ridiculous for only $100 a month. Yea no thanks
this guy always claims that he did this and that without an actual video of him doing it
You don't get paid for all your miles
1400 miles doesn't seem worth $300 imho
Does this rap ruin your paint job
