How long did it take to build it?
About a week because of our schedules.
Just wanted to say thank you for posting this. Bought this at walmart.com and shipped it to my daughter in Chesapeake VA. First off my grandson is 3. So this is GREAT. The fact that you showed the shipped package was totally AWESOME. My daughter was able to pre plan the space needed in her garage to store it till we got there. Will post vids as Damar Jr plays.. Thank you again and bless you and your family.
This is the same set we picked. Due to covid-19 we are stuck at home with no school. I'm so glad we can buy a nice set! Thanks for the honest review.
It has been a total blessing for us as well!
Looked like a fun filled adventure putting it all together!!!
Lol! Fun filled: NOPE. But Totally worth it all to see how much the kids love and enjoy this set!! 🙌🏻
Super nice! Love that big swing thing. We purchased a bucket swing for our toddler too for our play yard system. It is nice that all three kids can enjoy together!
Right!! It’s so much fun for everyone, even my hubby and I!
Great review! How is the swing set holding up today, 5 years later? We are looking into this brand for our kids and are afraid of the rust potential. Thank you again!
Hi there! Our set is still going strong even after heavy daily use over 5 years. This set is definitely worth the money. There are a few rust spots, however they’re not noticeable and they aren’t in places where they’re causing any issues 😊
Wow Huge backyard
OMG! This is awesome. Swingsets are so darn pricey though but so so worth it! Now we need it!
Tiffany Schlosser yess! We love this one. We bought one that is built to last. I mean we’ve got three boys lol! It needs to last for the next 10+ years!
Very nice review. I have a special needs son and he's 10 years old but about the size of a 7-year-old child. I think this set will be used for a while as he grows and gets older. Out of my budget for the moment but will be my first choice when I can. I love your children's enthusiams and appreciation for the play set.
Thanks so much!! They have gotten so much use out of it this year already. I’m sure your son would really enjoy this set as well ♥️
We just ordered this swing set…. What tools did you find helpful
Would you say this had held up well? Looking into one that will last and grow with my girls!
Oh yes! My hubby and I were just talking about this earlier today! It’s just now starting to show wear this year, but it’s been heavily used nearly every day for like 6 years now! We may look into getting a different model within the next couple of years, but we’ll see. It’s still going strong!
That’s awesome! Has it shown any rust spots?
@i_am_savannah6536 there are a couple of spots, but after this long they’re not too bad!
Since this is a metal swingset, does it get hot when sunny? Thank you for the video btw😊
I haven’t noticed it getting overly hot unless it’s like 95 degrees outside, otherwise by boys play on it all the time! It has been such an awesome purchase. I highly recommend it!
Thanks so much for this video review! The playset looks amazing and we're leaning towards buying this same one but my husband just saw a comment on the lifetime website saying that the playset started rusting after only 2 years (the person lives in San Diego). The photos showed that the rust-damage is very bad.
May i ask, How long have you had your playset for and has it started rusting? Have you heard or read anything regarding this issue with rusting? We live in Seattle, so considering how much rain we get, i'm a bit nervous.
Thanks again! loved the video :)
Hi! We live in Tennessee where it rains a TON! We’ve had this set for a little over two years. The only rust I see is on the actual chainlink on the swing seats. And when those need replacing we can just get new ones 🤷🏼♀️ Our boys are obsessed with this set, so overall we have gotten our money’s worth out of it and I recommend it.
It's going to rust. Only thing you can't predict is when. Ours has a pretty good section that's rusted badly. My plan is to disassemble what I have to and angle grind the rust off then repaint. Otherwise, I don't think it'll last another year or two. It's less than 3 years old.
How's this set holding up as far as the ropes, the plastics, and rust development?
Overall it still looks GREAT! Very minimal rust, it’s only showing on the swing chains. And swing are easy to replace when it gets bad, but we haven’t had to do that yet! Definitely recommend this set, it’s holding up awesome and it gets played on multiple times a day
Thank you for this review! Are you having any issues with rust on the main structures? Thanks. How much did you pay?
Hi! No rust on the main structure whatsoever! The only places that rust has appeared has been on the swing chains, other than that it still looks awesome. I think we paid close to $1.5k
If you give a quick spray of WD-40 on the links you won't have any problems with the rust
I complete these by myself in 5 hours 💯😁
Could that swing below it be removed for possible sand box?
Yes it can be!
Did you have any difficulty installing the climbing rope? We're currently putting a lifetime playset together and the rope section is taking us hours. It doesn't seem to fit or the instructions are incorrect since we're following them step by step.
I’m sorry you’re having trouble with your rope ladder! I don’t remember having trouble with that part 🤔 The part we struggled with the most was the actual climbing wall
I hope the climbing rope is together. We had a rough time with that part as well. The larger loops go up the pole and the smaller loops hook onto the platform. You have to hulk you're way 💪 honestly and use a screwdriver to get the rope onto the hook. Never screw things in all the way until all pieces are together as you'll find yourself having a hard time to get it together if you don't.
Did you have to anchor it in the ground?
Nope, this is a freestanding set! It’s very sturdy. We get high winds out here in TN and it has stayed put 🙌🏻
That's amazing! It looks great! I'm so happy you were able to get this for your boys! It must be such a relief that it's all put together now!
It is a huge relief! They’re enjoying it to the max!!
