Nice video. I did a recovery on my old KLR from seat concepts. It was fantastic. My stapler could hardly penetrate the plastic. This video makes me miss our cats.
Although I find the stock seat OK, I was thinking of a way to complete a DIY foam upgrade. Well, you must read my mind and here you are with a full instructional video. I can't say enough how much your videos have helped me. Thanks friend.
Got my KTM 390 Adv last year. Only one year into it and the seat is the only thing that bugs me about this bike. Thank you for sharing this. I will plan on doing this to my seat. Also been binging through your other videos. Great stuff man!
I did a gel insert on my tracer 900gt and it just left me remembering how my vstrom 650 came with an amazing stock seat. What happened that makers don't give proper seats anymore.
It’s wild that there is not a single option out there made for this. There is only far taller 800 dollar seats with terrible reviews. I’m doing mine the same way this spring. You don’t need much it’s just the seat is basically hard as concrete. I can do 2 hours max without being miserable
Yeah, I totally agree. And the options that are out there are either garbage or too expensive. Which is exactly why I did this and recorded for you all 👍.
@@advinjapan it’s funny I didn’t do it last year because I was super busy and since I found not a single record of someone attempting the exact idea I had (aka exactly what you did with the exact materials already bought the stuff) I just figured I’d wait and boom. Now I know it’s worth my time so thank you.
I have done a bunch of work with spray contact cement. If you are in the US and probably Canada, I recommend 3m 90 spray. They make a 77 that is good, but the 90 is great. Gorilla glue and other companies have spray glue/contact cement but the 3m products are fantastic

Hey thanks! I had to go through and hammer mine in too 😅. You can always adopt another cat 😂.
@@advinjapan maybe an old cat. Ours get close to 20 years. We don’t need a cat possibly outliving us. Ha
Dude, I assumed you were Japanese. Maybe you are idk.... 😅 Thanks for the vid, sending this to my wife so she can do it for me lmao.
Haha, I’ve been here long enough to be considered Japanese so whatever works 🤣

Thanks a lot for the kind comments. It’s exactly why I do this. Good luck with the diy. If you make a better one than me be sure to post it 🤣.
Well done! This is definitely something I am going to pursue on my stock seat as well. Thanks for sharing!
Totally recommend it especially with the limited and expensive options out there.
Nice. Yet again great video. I got the Ergo seat. And to be honest still get numb bum lol. 😅 but thanks for the time and effort you take every time. 😊
No prob! Yeah, I’ve heard similar reports for all of the aftermarket KTM seats😭. This is a quick and cheap alternative for sure.

Hey thanks Jason, yeah the seat is a must do. One thing I recommend is to make it a bit larger (surface area-wise). Good luck!

Just another place on the bike they can profit. With KTM even their aftermarket seats aren’t that comfortable
Whats your cat’s name?
Haha, I thought someone would ask. Her name is Pepper.
元のフォームを全部外さないで一部をカットして張り替えるのは目からうろこ、ナイスアイデアだと思いました。四国ツーリングの動画も楽しみにしていますね。
ありがとうございます。思ったより簡単でした。四国頑張ってます〜!

good job!
what kind of glue are you using? I have never seen one in spray form :)

It’s just a 3m spray I got from the hardware store.
