0:52 Based on research: "Bryan George Green (1866-1929) maintained an iron foundry at 213 and 229 Pacific St., Brooklyn, NY, from approximately 1901 to 1927. Green was born in Redditch, Worcester, England, and immigrated to the U. S. in the 1880s. He appears in three successive U. S. Census reports for 1900 through 1920. There is another Green manhole cover slightly east on Congress St. at no. 165, where the address of the foundry is given as 209 Pacific St. The cover with 209 Pacific St. is probably from a later date than this one with 229 Pacific."
She should not have been standing in the bike lane! It's common sense to not stand in the middle of a lane! If she was a cyclist or driving a car and she saw somebody standing in the middle of the street when they're not supposed to, she'd be mad too!
Ah HA! Very good. It didn't occur to me that it was an historical marker.
Good Job on the Research Avery

Roosevelt Island was first called "Minnehanonck" by the Lenape Natives which means "Nice island". Then when the Dutch bought it from the Lenape, they called it Varkens Eylandt or Hog Island because of all the swine that were there. After the Dutch surrendered to the English in 1664, Captain John Manning acquired the island in 1666, which became known as Manning's Island, and twenty years later, Manning's son-in-law, Robert Blackwell, became the island's new owner and namesake, Blackwell's Island. Blackwell's great-grandson Jacob Blackwell constructed the Blackwell House in 1796, which is one of the oldest houses in the city. It wouldn't be called Roosevelt Island until 1973. Doesn't surprise me that the tramway didn't introduce OMNY before this video since historically they were actually the last in the city to have TOKENS! They didn't accept MetroCards until March 2004!
Racquetball lore: Joe Sobek is credited with inventing the sport of racquetball in the Greenwich, Connecticut, YMCA, though not with naming it.[4] A professional tennis and American handball player, Sobek sought a fast-paced sport that was easy to learn and play. He designed the first strung paddle, devised a set of rules, based on those of squash, handball, and paddleball, and named his game paddle rackets. In February 1952, Sobek founded the National Paddle Rackets Association (NPRA), codified the rules, and had the rules printed as a booklet. The new sport was rapidly adopted and became popular through Sobek's continual promotion of it; he was aided by the existence of some 40,000 handball courts in the country's YMCAs and Jewish Community Centers, wherein racquetball could be played.

Hi supertoe! I love your videos. I have an idea for a future video. You could take the 1 train to penn station and then take the Amtrak down to union station in DC, and then ride the DC metro! It’s a clean system with beautiful architecture. I’m a DMV rail fan and I love rail fanning the dc metro. Love your videos!
that would be awsome
Area 58.
BRUH THE THUMBNAIL 😂
Suprtoe, maybe one day you can take the E train to 34th Penn, then take a long-distance Amtrak train in the summer if you have time.
25:19, I would have done the Metrocard there as you would have had a free transfer from the tram swipe.
The 4 train has tracks that merged with the Polo Grounds Shuttle.
You are like a monster at mulry square
can u show me more subway secerts
If you do this video I'm going to be so happy
@RaphaelSanchez-qe2hh he will probably not do it if you beg
