I love listening to your videos. Not only are they super informative but you sound like you are having a great time making them, which makes them all the more enjoyable. Many thanks.
Thanks. I've got a bit more comfortable doing the videos as time has gone by (my first vid's were horrible :S ) ...and who knows - maybe one day I might even show my face* :) : ) :) (*I actually did, very briefly in one 'tips' videos ...but it was very brief ;) ).
I thought of a bonus use this one, even. Once I have a few for my shops in game, then I'll make another one and it can be a cute Christmas ornament or curio for my friend who spins her own yarn and whatnot. 🥰 And that's *beside* the fact that I love this for my game! All the hearts! ❤️ Thank you for all these cool items!
Woot ! i see so much potential here ! cartwheel !!! everything needed to make a cart with horses (that you can do using the same techniques as for the statues !) \o/ awesome vid' as always. excellent ideas.
Oh btw, i started my set of 2.5D dungeon tiles using your texture ! this is awesome :) used 5mm foamboard. I'm struggling a bit with the inches (because as a french we use a proper mesuring system here :p ) joke aside. i'll send a picture once the basic set is finished :) next game is sunday, my players are thrilled to use them.
Yeah, here in the UK we kinda half-embraced the metric system when I was growing up (so at school everything was metric, but at home everything was imperial) ...so it's kinda the best/worst of both worlds for me (I mean, it was kinda weird to judge things in km when all of the road signs were in miles :S ). Even now we judge our miniatures to be 28mm ...and move them around on a 1" grid (or use inches for movement in most wargames) - it's a little bit crazy to be honest :D Anyway, I'm glad you're putting some of this stuff to use. Here's hoping the players appreciate your hard work :)
Seriously, thanks for all these tutorials and PDFs. I just made my first couple of modular rooms, and they're going to amp up the game I'm running so much!
@@CrookedStaffTerrain Have you ever thought of doing a "Challenge" or "Contest" like have your fans build sometime with your textures, then pick your favorites and put them on your channel? Perhaps at the end of another video or just a short video showing off your top 4-5 favorites ?
@@collinporter1406 At the end of my first year on UA-cam I did a 'year in review' type thing ...and included some pic's that folks sent in - but that's about it. But I suppose I could do something like you have suggested if folks are interested :)
As always, a very nice video. I have been trying to build some simple houses, using your textures, so if your ever find yourself with excess time, I would love some more large area textures. The items in this (and the next) video, tease me to do have removable walls and roof to reveal a weavers workshop.
Funny I've been making some buildings too ... I use the floor textures and the wall textures mainly. Oh and the doors of course ... could use some windows but its suppose to be 2.5D not 3D I can find windows elsewhere =)
@@CrookedStaffTerrain Some heavier boards would work for both walls and workshop/barn florring, and might even work better for roofs. Straw cover could double as flooring and roof. Ultimatly, just focus on your cool 2.5 stuff.
@@CrookedStaffTerrain: It's going slow, but the pieces are coming out fine. And with every piece I make, I'm getting better and faster at making them. I have enough for a small dungeon now. And I have a tip for you: A 2 x ½ inch wall section makes for a illusory wall or movable wall, (like in a crushing wall trap,) or a hidden/secret door. Just don't glue it down.

Mostly because D&D (and most wargames etc.) use a 1" grid and/or increments of 1" for ranges or similar (yeah 28mm mini's on a 1" grid ...it's weird :) ) Plus, even though the metric system had been in place for quite a when I was at school - at home (and later, sometimes in the workplace) the imperial system was still used (so I kinda had to deal with both). Then there's the fact that most of my viewers are in the US (where I believe the metric system is less common). But yeah, even though I'm not that old, I still measure my height in feet and inches, and my weight in stone :)
Another great tutorial from a very creative man. Thanks for this Kris 👍
No probs. Hope you can put it to use :)
