Your starting point was/is perfect for me in addition to the depth of topic coverage; it's as if you tailored your lessons exactly for me. Thanks a million Dennis for taking the time, because your video lessons on tube theory is exactly the kind of 'hit the ground running' type of instruction I was looking for!

Thank you for making such a video, it's a subject I am trying to understand and go retro with some of my equipment.

I'm new to your site Dennis so I just happened on to these videos.
I got my ham ticket when I was eleven. I was always interested in electronics.
I went to R.E.T.S. electronic school in Boston in the early 70's for two years. The beginning of my education. We studied tube theory for radio and TV repair.
I must admit, this is going to be a great refresher course for me after leaving R.E.T.S. forty plus years ago!
Thanks a million for this series. It's great!

PS I hate saying the word "plus" now thanks to Google. LOL

Hint: I had a technician describe the grid as being like Venetian blinds. Set one way provides maximum vision to the outside. Adjusting the blind reduces the vision path to the outside from a little blockage to maximum blockage. The grid with its charge allows either a lot of electron flow from the cathode to the plate OR not so much... depending on how strong the path blockage may be.
