Thanks for the tip. On this overnight we were warned about the possible protest and martial law. Nothing came of it of course.
Its interesting that for this flight; they used a 200 series rather than a 300ER to help with weight but I'm not an operations person so I'm sure there is a reason
The plane was a 200ER
@ ah ok never mind then; was confused why an ER wasn’t being used
@ ya AA only has ER models for both 2’s and 3’s…. Just one of things they don’t mention when talking about planes
It’s like trying to figure out a A321 vs A321LR vs A321XLR.
What are the quiks and features of the 777?
great vid :)
Glad you enjoyed it
Happy Christmas. Hopefully you didn't get called out on Christmas day this year!
Kinda sorta. There will be a short video later
@geekontheflightdeck always look forward to your vlogs. You drop and good times for Australian viewers too lol
I bet Korea's spring is as pretty as Japan's! Hopefully you'll get a slot back there when everything is blooming! I really enjoyed this video Darren. Wishing you and your family a Very Happy New Year!
Thank you very much. I get to go bank to Korea next month. Happy New Year to you and yours.
Pretty cool
Merry Christmas, Darren! From Dallas, is the American Airlines flight to Incheon the only flight from Dallas?
Correct
@ Thanks! Hope you have a Happy New Year!
Do you ever see any other UA-camr pilots out flying? Do people ever recognize you out there? I'd love to fly with you on my next London trip.
Not really. There’s always a chance.
14:40 Why does your overnight not include a complimentary breakfast as a hotel guest? Why do you need a hotel membership?
The hotel and airline negotiate a contract. Depends what's in the contract.
How long did you sit at the controls on each leg?
Average of 3 hours on most flights. Can be 6 hours if a 3 pilot crew.
Long but not that long. I fly Newark to Singapore Changi and return with Singapore Airlines. Flight time is an average of 18.5 hours per leg. Aircraft is Airbus A350 with no economy class (only economy plus, business and first). I use to fly JFK-HKG several times a year (14 hours) and before it was cancelled we use to fly JFK to Bangkok (BKK) with Thai Airways on Airbus A340. Roughly 17 hours per leg.
