This hits me very hard. I'm autistic and I'm happy to be alive. I'm against euthanasia and assisted suicide. I fear for the future of this world and the health profession.
as a medical professional who's neurodivergent myself... chilling. I know this is an actress, but it felt remarkably real.
This hits sooooooo close to home. As the mother of a son who is autistic, I know during this time, he would have been eliminated because of not being "perfect". In his 18 years, he was perfect to me as a baby, and he's perfect now. This is so scary and the way the world it turning back into something evil, I worry for my son and other people like him.

It's chilling to know that this actually happened. While this video is a dramatic retelling of events, that doesn't negate the estimated 300,000 deaths over Europe between 1939-1945 as a result of Eugenic Science. Truly horrific.

@@thehistorysquad Before the pandemic, I never would have expected there to be widespread Holocaust deniers, then or now. Now, I see how people form opinions based on evidence that fit their bias, and I cannot imagine how traumatic the research and scripting for this must have been. Thank you for going the extra mile to teach the atrocities that occurred so hopefully we can learn not to repeat the same mistakes.

They are assisting with it in Canada NOW for anyone chronically ill or disabled. Around two years ago, they were almost encouraging those people to opt for it because, as their own expression stated, they were a burden to society. They are expecting to offer it to those mentally ill soon.
This is amazingly well done! It’s terrifying that I see my country heading quickly in this direction. People think that’s a silly notion but it didn’t take Germany long to get to this point and history repeats. So terrifying.

So terrible to realise that all the things I learned about human body and human being in Nursing school that I use everyday in hospital, that they used the same knowledge to kill innocent people. How could they sleep and live with themselves...
Shared responsibility. It was smart of them to send three in. No one had to carry the burden alone.
The lady who does this deserve an academy award. This is chilling and we are seeing this re enacted in modern times. That being as it is, this is a true actress, deserving of an Oscar.
This video is supper well done and left me feeling super unsettled in the way a psychological thriller does (in the best way possible). That woman is an amazing actress.

this was also done in britain, before during and after the war, it was the duty of the midwife! if the child was serverly disabled, they were often snuffed out, with the mother being told, they were still born. all unofficial.
For one, I don't believe you. Two, if it's true, link some evidence. If it is true, I'd be willing to bet it wasn't state sanctioned. Whataboutism regarding Nazis makes me ill.
I am a parent to a disabled child. He might never be normal. he’s not worthless however speak to him be with him for just a moment and he will show you what love is. He doesn’t know anger he doesn’t know he he only knows to be alive and I have taught him to love. It is sad to know this happened however in a twisted way I understand where it was coming from. History is very complex.

It was eventually the grief of the parents that put a stop publicly to the child element of T4, although I believe it did still continue underground.
I must confess, this is a hard watch. My brother is autistic, and would have been a victim of this awful program had he been alive in Nazi germany, props to your actress for being able to deliver such callous dialog, it is dialog that needs to be said, as people need to know more about this side of the nazi regime. education is given to the Holocaust (in particular that of the Jewish population) and it is good to see other sides of the terrors the nazi's inflicted are being covered.

Sad isn't it, but didn't stop there if a person had any sort of imperfections that it didn't fit the status, they were eliminated, ears too big, head too small, nose too wide, all of these were qualifications for euthanasia

An interesting thought to ponder as the world continues to grow.
Yuval didn't mean it in this way as in the video, he said that AI machines will take people's jobs in most things that require more than physical strength, so their skills will be worthless compared with those algorithms. This will make them 'useless' in terms of skills, not lives. He said it's an important question for politicians - how are they going to feed and take care of so many people who won't be able to do so by themselves.

It is, however, unfair on hard workers who have their tax money distributed to those who burden the state. That was absolutely insane! I could see and understand assisted death when dealing with a terminal disease and the patient being a adult who has some say in the decision. This is something else, something sick and disgusting beyond belief.

I’m an autistic person who’s had a lot of surgeries and that’s terrifying..
I have come across a lot of surgeons and doctors like this here in the UK. Since becoming disabled, I had to realize that this is a common mentality among medical staff - they see us disabled folk as useless eaters and worthless lives. I hear the same from each and every other disabled person I speak to. The abuse we disabled people get subjected to, and the active attempts on our lives, needs to be seen to be believed!

Many who don't know the detailed history of Nazis I find come to the same conclusion about getting rid of the weak and those who wouldn't exist in nature without modern medicine. Many also ponder on the preservation of their race as to honor their history, culture and/or ancestory. Personally I believe life just is what it is and we must live it regardless. Nope, with AS the person themselves choose to die, they are not forced. They go through counselling, physical and psychological testing to qualify (ie. incurable disease with little to no quality of life). They have to be of sound mind to go through with it. Unless you've watched your loved one go through unbearable pain it may be hard to see the point of view to the necessity of AS

To get a Better understanding of what led these Nurses to kill there patients I would recommend watching the documentaries "Caring Corrupted , the Killing nurses of the 3'd Rich". It would give you a better understanding about what led these women to commit and even justify what they did.

She doesn't sound German at all it's distracting but look how late term abortions and infanticide are considered socially acceptable many places now too just as matter of economics and it's not difficult to understand how some considered anyone including children burdensome and would rather not help them . There are plenty of children whose parents can't afford their medications or other necessary treatments and likely resent them too. Lots of doctors are overwhelmed and don't provide quality care commit misdiagnosis or malpractice which can cause death too apathy is dangerous.
