I think at one time that pool was called the Roadrunner Pool. Now it is labeled the Serenity Pool on the resort map. It is our kind of pool. Usually quiet and not overrun with a lot of people.
I too think its weird that the check in desk isn't connected to anything. But that seems to be a common theme for many of their properties. The Phoenix and Newport Coast are the same design. Parking is also scarce there too 😂Of the other MVC properties I've personally been to, only Vegas and Hawaii properties seem to have villas in the same building as the check-in. I personally love the Enclave section the best. Its quieter/not as crowded.
Yes, many resorts have disconnected check in buildings. Though can think of a few others that do, Oceana Palms, Surf Club, Aruba Ocean Club and Monarch have villas in the same building as their check in. The issue with Shadow Ridge is that it is just so far away. The other resorts where they have disconnected check in the building is much closer if not right beside buildings with villas. We really like the Enclave section also and actually have a stay booked there later this year. Thanks for watching!
I sold MVCI here in 02 03 my name should still be on a plaque in the sales building for top sales. Also stayed there on two occasions after quitting. Heck of a nice golf course thanx Marriott for 100 + free rounds . I like the lonely spread out feeling there I stayed during pandemic on my way to Mex from PH and it was a ghost town , I liked it. Tough to find a spot for my nightly cigar tho. I didnt find anything wrong with the place and Im super critical . beautiful units , fairway and water view I loved it.
Why shouldn't a resort have a quiet pool? Many resorts we visit have them. Every pool doesn't need to be crawling with kids. Especially when they have six of them.
This guy is wrong on some points. I have stayed there every year 2-3 times. I love it. Stayed in the suites. You have to book the right room. I stayed at the Enclaves once. I prefer the Villages. One of my fave vacay.
Marriott is very bad at policing bad or disallowed behavior. I've seen kids running & jumping into pools, adults doing x rated things. Unless you address it with management nothing is done. Visits are becoming less pleasurable. With the fees we pay I think they need to hire people to look after this as most of the staff you see on a consistent basis have maintenance roles. I was at a Westin recently & they were on top of it.

There is a very quiet small pool we found on the property. It was tiny, tiny and too quiet for us. No music. We went back to the main adult pool.

Quiet pool? Relax old man, check in to the convalescent home if you want quiet time....

Not sure I would say I am wrong, just sharing my opinion. It is a great resort. Thanks for watching!
