I notice that Terran players seem less prone to going hard mech in many of these matches, nowadays...is this them stubbornly going for "chivalrous" victories, or are they just nuts..?
Again, late game Terran should use more powerful units to win the battle against Zerg opponent.You cannot forfeit your tanks, battle cruisers and ghosts. Coz even zerglings would increased their speed and power. Marines and firebat fighters are very useful in middle game like the first 10-15 mins with some drop-ship. After the 20 min marked, the Zerg player basically have everything that can encounter you very easily even counterattack. If no tanks to defend your base, the bunkers are very vulnerable against dark swarm and ultralisks play.
if the zerg can't produce many defilers, pressure and drops with MM are often fatal. but if there is a split map scenario/zerg>4 bases, mech is definitely a better option
