This year was a long hot summer, the temperature was very high all day long. Looks like you've come to the right time. Usually many hats are sold, made from woven bamboo, to protect the head from sun exposure. Lupis was made from "ketan" or sticky rice. The jelly thing, we call it "Cenil". It was made from tapioka fluor (from casava). The caramelly sauce is coconut sugar. But there are 2 kind of coconut sugar. First made from coconut, second made from sugar palm (Arenga pinnata). For this desert, Aren sugar is the best taste. It will give sweet and light taste. Anyway... enjoy the desert...
A MUST VISIT place in Jogja is the Ullen Sentalu museum. If it were before 2020, I'd be confident to say that it is the best museum in Indonesia. Since then I haven't traveled a lot so I don't know if there's better ones now. But still, it is better than the Sultanate Palace and the Taman Sari Palace. And since it's located in Kaliurang region, the weather is much more forgiving.

If you have a look at the smaller stupas, they have a Buddha statue inside but on the very top, the biggest stupa has no statue at all. It signifies the formless nirvana. Some say, they used to put an artifact of Buddha in it like a piece of his bone. Borobudur is a worship place not only by local Buddhist monks but also the southeast asian monks during the Vesak day, starting from thailand they travel on foot to that place.

What street is Kue Lupis on? How do we find it? Thanks. I found it .... it's called "Lupis Mbah Satinem" Corner of Jl. Pangeran Dponegro and Jl. Bumijo No.52-40, Bumijo, Kec. Jetis, Kota Yogyakarta, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta 55231, Indonesia It's opposite the KHAS Tugu Hotel. It's about a 25 minute walk from Stasiun Tugu Yogyakarta train station. She's there from 05:30 to 09:00 Tuesday to Sunday. Closed on Monday's.

Fun fact: there's a huge Hindu temple called Prambanan in a different area quite far from Borobudur (Budha temple). BUT, if you view them on Google map, draw a line manually from Borobudur to Prambanan, you will find that they are positioned along a straight line. Like a frikkin solid straight line. Considering they were built ages ago sorrounded by jungles, and both are for different religions, it's actually super impressive.
Borobudur Temple is a wonder of the world, so it is not something to be judged or compared, because it is priceless
