  • The Kali double strike know as Florette or Doblete is a common request from many of our students and those in the community. We hope to shed a little light on it today so you can pickup these skills quickly and easily. Thanks for the suggestion, and thanks for watching Warriors! Thanks to original submission from Huaxzhang and the Arnis group that brought about this question, here’s their video. • Basic Arnis Anyo Routi...

The first strike on the fouetté is used to block your opponents strike coming at you on the opposite angle once you’ve made contact successfully blocking with that first strike, then you complete the strike by coming around again on the same angle. That’s how I understand it and it works for the forehand and backhandEspecially if the target area is your opponents wrist/hand.

    Oppo, Salimat (thank you) 🙏
    Great Vid 👌
Love the Inosanto blend, (I plan on spending a bit of time at the inosanto academy here in aus for its conveniely no more than 7 or so minutes away from where im currently training balintawak)
I originally came from modern arnis (Presas style) fma and surprisingly i Absolutely fell in love with ballintawak system from the minute i started but inosanto blend has always been on my bucket list (although i have been training along to dans, dianna's (diannes husband) rob's vids for years! 🙏 AWESOME
Fyi, the smooth flow doblette followed with that snappy transition is SO DISTINCT in only the inosanto blend (i love it),
Been trying to replicate it for years!

There are only a handful of true FMA centres here in Melbourne (the art Is still very unrecognised here) but all the people involved (that ive met in the last 8 years) ARE OF GREAT QUALITY 👌

Guro Joe, my instructor teaches a thing on the Florett I'm not saying you're doing it wrong, what my instructor tries telling us is after you make your first strike, steer the punyo to the same target for the next strike. So striking #1, after that you turn your hand over& imagine striking #1 with the punyo, then flip your hand over again for the strike. Q thing I like about florettes, is you strike 1 angle then another angle on the same side in continuous flow. Strike #1 the left side of the neck area then rotate your wrist like a florette & strike a downward strike to their left knee, what we call #9
