As a single parent, this film just Hits every mark for the struggle to raise a child. And, better, my kid saw positive things for himself, about maintaining effort through persistence.
ik am 1 month late but i also noticed a little minor detail too. its at 45:23 when Roz is speaking it shows a green light through the lines but then as soon she says Roz it turns blue.
My mother passed away on February she suffered an aneurysm and was on a coma state for 3 days, the scene were brightbill starts talking to his mom while she is unconscious and telling her "I love you, mom" did hit me hard, I've been on the same situation for those 3 days hoping I could get a response that never came, so glad it went different in this movie. Got into the theater waiting for just another kids movie and left having one of the best feelings and smile on my face after this piece of art.
My mom had 2 aneurysms and a stroke 10 years and 2 days ago, against all odds and thanks to the hands of a great surgeon she survived. While I might not understand your loss, I understand those three days for we didn’t know she’d make it. I’m so sorry for your loss, I hope time will heal you and grant you peace.
I feel this deeply 😔 I lost my mom in June due to leukemia after she had been battling multiple sclerosis all my life so I grew up watching her struggle as a single mom and I know for a fact there were times I didn't fully appreciate it. It got to the point that my twin sister and I were taking care of her for nearly a decade (lost my twin December of 21 to covid) but for the last 2 years my mom wasn't with me since I couldn't take care of her alone. I hadn't seen her in that time other than a couple moments with her so when I got the call that "it was time" it hit me like a rocket. My last few hours with her she was asleep that whole time and all I could do was talk to her hoping she could hear me one last time. I know I'm still not ok from losing the two of them.
One thing you might notice, is how as the film progresses Roz's voice starts sounding less robotic and more human Also all of the geese have different colored eyes Brightbills eyes are green Longnecks are blue The bully geese are orange And the female goose brightbill talks to had yellow eyes.
@@mckenzie.latham91 One of the things I really liked is even before the movie really progresses, u can tell Rozz is different. She feels a sense of fear and self preservation, something that robots really don't have. Even if it was programmed, when trying to help the animals, she does show confusion.
You don’t even realize how much her voice has changed until she meets Rummage. There’s a stark contrast between them despite both being voiced by Lupita.
I have a question, at the end of the movie when the robot said, "You can call be roz" did she have her complete memory or was she rebooted, because she sounded like she lost that human emotion and sounded more like her original Robot form, you know what I mean😅
why though? I thought this was terrible and I'm so confused about why people love it. Mind you, movies like Big Hero 6 and Lilo and Stitch make me sob like a child every time I watch them. I thought this movie was so insanely rushed and all the big important moments happened so fast for some reason. Longneck appeared out of nowhere and hand a handful of lines and BOOM migration okay bye guys then he dies... I truly don't get it..
@@xhelan131 this movie is special and sensitive. Something I liked is that they treated wildlife as what it is. Animals are vulnerable, they are preyed upon, they live and die suddenly because that's how life is. The conection between a mother who doesn't know is she's doing a good job raising her kid but she tries to be the best mother his kid deserves. She literally ripped her own heart to protect him.
@@xhelan131I understand if you dislike it but saying something is terrible is a bit much. Might need to lower your standards a bit and find the beauty in it. Seriously. Try it. I cried most of the film. I went with two of my best friends. one of them her family lives in a different country, I almost lost my mom 10 years ago to an aneurysm+stroke combo, and my other best friend lost her dad suddenly earlier this year. When Fink said at the end ”what if I want to tell you something and you’re not there?” We all started sobbing as we held onto each other. This film was beautiful.
I cried three times watching this! It was so gorgeous! What a beautiful movie! The music, the characters, the acting, the animation! Everything was perfect! I loved it so much! 10-10!
Watched this in theatres with my mother, who was a single mom. As you can imagine there wasn't a dry eye between us. Also watched it with my sister and cried just as much as she did. It's amazing how much emotion they put in a character that's basically just camera-eyes and a voice. I'm crying just watching snippets of the film here. Honestly it's one of Dreamworks' best. I'd put it up next to The Prince of Egypt honestly.
Such a good movie, I cried like a baby throughout. So many moments pulled just right on the heart strings. Also has to be said that the voice cast were all phenomenal, solid performances and each one perfect for the character they were voicing.
11:06 that about Runts, which are the smallest of a group of baby animals of 1 kind are usually the ones who struggle to compete with older siblings and sometimes don't make it to adulthood it's very common for animals that have litters like pigs, foxes, raccoons, birds and other animals that breed more than 3 babies
I think parents and young adults will get the more out of it t than children. Just cause we grow up and we move closer to losing our parents and truly understand their sacrifice and love shown. Fierce good movie
You know its a good kids movie when your wishing its something you grew up with while watching. Thats what I was thinking in the theaters, I wish I grew up with this movie!
@@joeysnowynoey It's not really a kids movie. It's a film for kids, adults and any that wants to feel something. It's a masterpiece in my book and I just saw it a few days ago.
Wow this really shows just lengths a mother will go to for their child. Roz literally broke herself along they way to protect her child and to make sure he was able to make it on his own. The way she kept saying, "I'm fine" when she got hurt showed that, to her, the only thing that mattered was her child's well-being. Her own pain didn't matter as long as her baby was safe. The "I have everything I need" scene was everything. It really showed how deep a parent's love is, a love so immense that they would sacrifice anything even their own life for their child. But one scene that I just can't stop thinking about is the migration scene where she completes all the task but she realizes she can't leave and follow protocol. At that moment she does something she was never programed to do---she feels something. With a sense of urgency, she ran toward her child who was leaving. That was the moment were she affirmatively demonstrated she was no longer just a robot finishing a task but a mom saying goodbye to her child.
I really love the emotions and love these animals express to Roz, even after how they treated her. They understood now that she was just trying to help them, ever since she got to their island.❤❤❤❤❤❤
