- Today I bring you all of the Castle and Pirate MOCs from the Lego Bricklink Designer Programme Series 2 2023 - which one will you vote for? Will any rival the legendary Castle in the Forest? Would any of these go with the Lion Knights' Castle 10305 or the new Eldorado Fortress 10320? Take a look at all of the top sets in the second review of 2023.

Thank you for including my "A Lords Palace"
No worries - I love these Bricklink designs!
Hey thanks for featuring my model :) I really like your videos.
Cheers! Which model was yours?
@@Brick2Rick the gate of bricktenstein Castle. Nothing real special but looks quite nice in real life build and its a good start for a castle.
Its awesome mate!
@@Brick2Rick thank you very much. There are some very nice medieval builds, Hope they select one at least
Forest Citadel and Ominous Isle are my favourite.
I agree these are top builds - hope they get a look in!
The forest citadel has a high nostalgia hit for me. I cant have enough of the castle sets. Unfortunately the display area is getting too crowded by sets so i need to make room. Currently going to put the 3 in 1 castle back to its box... And probably enchanted island for eldorado Fortress 😅
Ps Imperial brig looks pretty cool. I would love to see a fully detailed ship but dont think Lego do that.
I love that forest citadel design! Would also like a big ship from Bricklink but I think Lego will probably do that with their own design in 2024-2025 as I expect the market is there
Lego will never go with a ship with more than 4 cannons😜. I like the fortress citadel, something about yellow leaves. I also enjoyed the larger knight figures as they would be nice display pieces. The final two were the tower and castle. They would be great if they came with different flag and shield options so they could be used with different factions. So many nice sets that Lego could chose from and it shows the level of creativity and talent in the Lego community. I am subscribing to the channel.
They did have 6 cannons-packed Metalbeard's Sea Cow in 2012 tho, but yeah, your point is clear 👌🏻
This is not Lego, this is Bricklink, which although owned by Lego has shown with prior selections they are prepared to do things they would not as a regular product.
@@michaelnurse9089 That is a shame as these items show great creativity and are sets I would be interested in which makes me think others might be interested in.
Hi there! Yes I think that there are some options on the list that Lego probably won't go for, but as for Bricklink they could sneak through - hope we get some good ones!
How does it work when you buy it?
Hi there - I have bought just one set from the programme before. I would keep an eye on the Bricklink website for the "crowdfunding stage". Put this date into your diary including the time of release (some sets sell out really quickly). Make sure you are ready to go at that specific time and add to basket - it will likely transfer you to the official Lego website and you go from there. The scheme is not without problems though - sometimes the website can freeze!
I am sad that povoq didn't re-entry his Castle in the forest
Povoq did so well with that design. I may try to part it out one day to have my own copy!
@@Brick2Rick yeah. but would you get the instructions for his castle?
I think the second iteration of his castle was even better than the first. Shame we will probably never see the instructions for this one. Thankfully I was able to download the instructions for the original castle from the Bricklink website - its good they have this feature
@@Brick2Rick you mean his first Castle in the Forest that got to be an actual but very limited set? Yeah I also think this new iteration is so much cooler. Would love to buy it
@@darkroy610 if you mean the castle in the forest set? I used the instructions on the Lego app itself. Just put in the set number, 910001 if im not mistaken, and the instructions are there. Free.
I then used the bricklink inventory list and started collecting the bricks here and there. Be aware, i had some sellers making, not too bad, mistakes with the colour variations. Especially with the brown pieces.
A very nice thing to do, take some time but when yours is finished, it really is a nice looking set. Perfect hideout for the forest man
Way way way too much midevil stuff. Wears me out. I want some variety myself.
I love the castle theme but I think pirates were neglected a bit in series 2. Hope we get a pirate option to compliment the new Eldorado Fortress
@@Brick2Rick yes definitely all we really have got so far is barricuda bay and el dorado remakes that’s it, in a while.
