The battery operated Kamigami praying mantis, or Mantix, is just like the Scarrax we reviewed 2 weeks ago. These robots come unassembled, so building and programming it will be part of the fun. This build-it-yourself robot platform is a simple snap and build system. It is controlled by an app downloaded at the Apple Store for iPhone or Google Play store for Android. Whether coding for boys or coding for girls, the basic drag-and-drop coding option will draw the interest of any child. If you want to see more about programming Kamigami robots or exploring options in the app, see my previous review on the Scarrax.
Since we really enjoyed the first Kamigami robot, we purchased another one. Here, I show you the robot to robot interactions, the robot battle mode (or battle bot mode as we like to call it), and free play races. This STEM toy is simple to build and operate, and is for ages 8 and up. Perfect for any beginner with an interest in building robots or programming robots.
I hope you enjoy the video. Feel free to leave comments or questions.
