Huitlacoche and mole and atoli date all the way back to the Aztecs. How are they not "traditional"? Chiles en nogado is not everyday food because they are a pain in the a$$ to make. But if you ask your Mexican grandmother for that snack, she'll tell you, "I don't make Sabritas fritangas. Take a few pesos. Buy them at the store."
You should do another one with them trying Birria tacos tinga de pollo ceviche flan Agua chata tacos de carne asada con nopal we have many more other good to try that are good can you do a part 2
Omg yes!
Yes, most of these were too far removed.
You should try Tamales, tripe tacos, pozole, pambazos, quesadillas de flor de calabaza, tostadas de tinga, nopales con huevo
Omg Pambazos ARE DELICIOUS i haven’t had one since New Years tho 😭 it’s literally like a torta but I think it’s better
This right here!! Stuff with good actual flavor!! Cemitas de pierna are bomb too!!
I love how blonde lady took out her tupperware and instantly putted on the concha hahah
How did they dare to give them a concha without Mexican hot chocolate
it's true! Spain concured the Philippines and Mexico
we have chilli con carne, Menudo, Empanda's, Lechon, Pandesal, Longaniza, adobo, cocido, puchero, estofado, escabeche, caldereta, embutido, longganisa, lechon, ensaimada and leche flan as dishes and similar spanish words in Tagalog
Love our Filipina cousin! She’s a Queen! 💕
didnt get no oregeno or lemons for the menudo what a crime
Crickets are mostly eaten in Mexico city. I'm from Michoacán but I would never eat them but to each their own.
I try not to eat anything that gives Bill Gates ideas.
Exactly, I'm Mexican from Tabasco and I've never eaten crickets in my life, that's typical of Mexico City and Oaxaca.
Menudo is definitely missing the lime and oregano
My mom would give me Pinole as a child to make me want to eat more, I was anemic and never wanted to eat. It worked 😂
They should have given them milk or chocolate de abuelita to enjoy with the concha. It’s all about the dunking!!
Sharon busting out the take home container gets me EVERY TIME 😂
I love how honest the lady with short hair is. Honest and respectful.
You were missing lots of lime, onion, and tortillas for the menudo.
Huitlacoche was not prepared like we usually do, it has to have a little of epazote to remove the earthy flavor, it also has corn, besides the onion and garlic.
Me being Mexican, I can say mole is not my favorite, but its one of the best dishes my people's make.
Mole enchiladas,chilles rellenos,tacos de chicharron!
Disappointed they didn't give them coffee with the conchas! You don't eat a concha unless you have something to dip it in 😅 that's why it was dry
The redhead was being disrespectful
Next time you try mole, throw some chicken in there. Specifically the red or green mole. Also try it with a side of rice, beans, and tortillas. Put a little bit of everything on a tortilla and eat it like a taco
Part of me bothered they don't got chopped cabbage corn tortillas and sum lime for the menudo.
I'm from Oaxaca, Mexico... but I moved to the USA.
It made me happy to see you trying some of our indigenous mexican foods.... and yes, I do eat insects!
10:44 she busted out a whole ass container!! 😂😂
Americans: I love concha 😇
Mexicans: I love concha 😇
Argentines: I love concha 🥵🔥
También en México wey XD
The Filipino girl is invited to all of the carne asadas !!!
Jayka was so respectful and the kindest …
I wish they gave them some chocolate abuelita to go with their conchas
That bothered me so much 😩
💯% FR
the ginger hair girl is making me so mad LMAO

her saying chapulines are nasty is making me so mad

How are going to serve mole/ moles with no chicken dude!
I'm a proud Mexican and have tried millions of Mexican foods but, I have not heard of most of these foods.
then youre not, this are everywhere
Im so glad i wasnt the only one
@@jorgeemiliohuerta5405they can still be Mexican even if they haven’t heard of the food
some of these i believe are more regional, as someone from tlaxcala i hadn’t heard of some of these either

I love how the the tile is "Americans Try Mexican Food For The First Time!" then the guy goes " uhhh I had mole before"
10:45 that lady busted out a Tupperware to take some food home... that's as Mexican as it gets.
Sharon it’s the best!!!
Americans are so critical of other nations, yet nothing in America is authentic.
I mean, everyone can have an opinion,
We created hamburgers lol, and technically fortune cookies
@@shakeablesphinx7286 Well, it is still debated on wether burgers are American or German
@@WeatherIsFun we need the best grill master from both countries and we could settle that debate lol
@@shakeablesphinx7286 Yeah lol. Or maybe it can be shared by both countries? It would be a great way to unite both nations and be proud of the dish together.
Great episode. One thing I'd recommend is trying Mexican bread with Mexican hot chocolate. Conchas are typically dry so we eat them with a cup of hot chocolate which makes it much better.
It wasn’t that good tbh.. don’t overhype something that clearly needs a lot of work.
@@lamb4613 that's you're opinion but ok
as a Mexican I was slightly disappointed by this video…
Yeah I wish they had served the mole with chicken and rice and the concha with a chocolate caliente. There’s also so many other amazing dishes they could’ve served that would’ve been a hit
Try Pozole, chile rellenos, michiotes, Mexican hot chocolate, Squash blossom quesadillas, Mamey milkshake, tlacoyos, cemitas, enfrijoladas, chilaquiles, moyetes. These are just a few.
not all mexicans eat grasshoppers, it is more for turist and only in some parts, but is not a particular diet
They're not ment to be a meal of its own but a snack. Kinda how like here in America we eat pork rinds and chips.
@@Off-with-a-bang what is a pork rind?
Edit: just searched it up and never heard of or seen it i don’t think
As a Mexican it warms my heart to see others try food from my culture and like it
When she pulled out the tupperware 😂😂
Why is every Mexican here trying to make it seem like it’s a bad thing to eat these? “We don’t eat shit like this!” Speak for yourself.
I don’t know anybody that eats crickets and I’m Mexican
@@Chris-pg7qg Porque es un platillo regional, son muy comunes en algunas partes de Oaxaca y Puebla. Así como los gusanos de maguey, no se consiguen en todo México.
Mexicans are very divided regionally by food and culture, much like how the U.S. is from Southern hospitality to New England coastal fare and so on. I’m from Southern Mexico and we eat all of those foods in the video. My father’s family is from Northern Mexico and they eat differently like four tortillas instead of corn or dishes like juevos rancheros and chile colorado.
Girl with the red hair just demonstrates how you can travel the world and still be disrespectful towards cultural dishes
why is expressing an opinon on what it tastes for her rude? that is what the chapulines taste for her

As a mexican, I cannot get over the "taco holders"
Ok I’m Mexican AND we don’t eat bugs! It’s only one region that eats them. That is not the norm with all of us.
THIS!!!!!!
I believe that the crickets are a Oaxacan thing.
Sorry to disagree. Mexicans eat crickets, gusanos de maguey, jumiles, escamoles and many other "bugs". And all of them are considered delicacies and are expensive food.
@@dianawestrup7416
You're wrong, not all Mexicans eat that, in the north of the country, we don't eat any of that, it's only in the south and in certain states
Where’s the milk for the conchas!? Also they got dry ones.
I just want Sharon to know she helps distract me form my anxiety. Thank you Sharon!
These are Mexicans food that aren’t so traditional or what us mexican eat all the time. You need to do another one with actual traditional foods
You are confused. Huitlacoche, chapulines, chiles en nogada, 7 moles, are actually _very traditional_ Mexican food. The main reason they are not consumed on a daily basis is because they are laborious to prepare, or are actually a gourmet delicacy in some regions, you can't ask for anything more Mexican than that! And as a matter of fact, they went above the average reaction videos with people trying tacos.
Talk for yourself, all this dishes are Mexican
@@xolotlmexihcah4671 shes chicana, she thinks mexico is just tacos, burritos, carnitas, tamales lol
Huitlacoche and mole and atoli date all the way back to the Aztecs. How are they not "traditional"? Chiles en nogado is not everyday food because they are a pain in the a$$ to make. Huitlacoche quesadillas are a pretty average breakfast. They sell atoli at every tamal stand. BTW, I live in Mexico City so I'm not just some clueless gringo!
Americans Try Native American foods! Id like to see which foods are from Native Americans or influenced by them. Also to maybe learn of the different tribes that live across the U.S.
Eating mole without rice is like eating a salad without dressing, the same with menudo I would eat it after adding lemon juice(lime),only very old mexicans or turist eat the bugs I never had any escamoles or huitlacoche, yes they are part of our culture it doesn't mean that people are running down the street to eat insects but menudo is most drunken people favorite food so basically the whole country loves it😂
Unos taquitos de escamoles fritos en mantequilla, con perejil 🤤
🤮I always hated menudo.
Throw the ginger out. She clearly has a pallet that's never had seasonings 😂
The chick with the red hair did not want to be there.. the slouchy body language, the crossed arms, the huffing and puffing, and constant faces if disgust. Honestly disrespectful considering these are cultural dishes and are important to many many people

frrr
RIGHT???!!! Like sorry it's not fake Mexican food like taco bell 😂
They did them wrong by not giving them the hot Mexican chocolate with the Concha.
