    Yeah, I have a bad habit of doing this. So much shoulder press. Always increasing it. I'm gonna start lifting lighter with that and working on my core much more. Recovery is tough on keto, but I've been doing it for so long that I am not ready for a more normal diet.

    So what do you do to stay injury free? how do you reduce inflammation? have you ever trained through bouts of tendonitis? if so - what did you do to overcome it and still produce solid results while recovering

    It's usually in young age people do stupid stuff, but Martins is different. As he matures, he forgets momentarily all wisdom he has and was born with and instead starts to do some stupid stuff on crucial moments :) I, too, remember that time when the bar was loaded with 800-something pounds and I wanted to try a new tactic :D This time, I think I moved the weight a thousandth of an inch. At least, that's what I tell myself.
    I hope you get back to 100% and build up your strength slowly with rep work, Martins. Actually, I take that back: you are the world's strongest man and I don't even want to try to give you advice. You're a smart guy. I know from your use of language, which apparently isn't even your native language. I identify with this, as English also isn't my native language. You're smart and you're capable of learning. You might just want to take more time and don't prove yourself at whatever cost. Now that you have this title, you can maybe relax some more and build up slowly. Was that advice? Maybe.

    Damn this is me in 2020. Starting in January I tore my Achilles, then I strained my patellar tendon, then I strained my hip, then injured my shoulder now I have a compressed nerve in my upper back. I'm about to quit lifting for the rest of this year

    it fascinates me how people will make "Being a fucking moron" into "having a deep insight" ... OH REALLY??? RECOVERY IS IMPORTANT?
    MAN IF I ONLY UNDERSTOOD THAT 20 YEARS AGO WHEN I WAS 10....OH WAIT.. I DID... INJURY FREE SINCE... ALWAYS.. OH... YEAH...
    you forgot.. some people dont need to make insane mistakes to understand the SIMPLEST OF CONCEPTS.

    ripped & shredded bodyweight athlete: Injury? barely.
    people who lift really heavy shit: ...(no response because they arent here, they are injured in the hospital)
    ---
    the difference between a bodybuilder and a fat person is aesthetic, because both can't run, can't jump, can't climb, are tired quickly, slow, eat lots of food, need lots of rest.

    i hurt my lower back at least once a year. Just today i was doing rdl and on my 7th rep snap. There is no avoiding injuries, they just happens. Inside a week i'm back to lifting heavy, i'm so used to hurting my back that i know from experience that this injury will last maybe 5 days. The only thing i'm actually laughing here, because today i feel zero motivation, zero drive and just little bit depressed and of fucking course i have to hurt my back on top of that... yeah fuck this bullshit. Well at least finally i get to do deload

    • @yiago1
      @yiago1 4 роки тому +6

      Lol no... You keep hurting your back because you're dumb. I hurt my back once 2 years ago and since then I started doing stretch work and prehab work and I never got injured again. Constant injury isn't normal

    • @andro995
      @andro995 4 роки тому +2

      That's a terrible way to approach injuries and training. They will most likely happen but they should be few and far between. If you're getting injured regularly you need to take a massive step back and re evaluate every aspect of your training

    • @ollvi
      @ollvi 4 роки тому

      @@andro995 i do everything in my power to prevent injuries. My training program is balanced and i have no recovery issues and i lift only with good form. I have nothing else left to prevent them, so what should i do? stop lifting all together? fuck no

    • @Geissson
      @Geissson 4 роки тому +3

      @@ollvi Something is probably still wrong, hard to say here because I don't know your program and your technique. Getting back-injury every year should be a huge red light and you should really contemplate what is wrong in your training/recovery. Your body clearly doesn't like what you are doing and still you continue with it. One day you will hurt yourself for good and can say bye bye to any kind of heavy lifting.

    • @andro995
      @andro995 4 роки тому

      @@Geissson yeah what he said. You're never done learning and there's always room for improvement. If you think you're doing everything perfect and still routinely getting injured then it should be obvious that you are not and you need to go back to the drawing board. Deep tissue massages, pressure point releasing, better more specific stretches, exercise to strengthen the weaker areas rather than compound movements, etc. I'm not trying to insult you man but from one gym rat to another I don't want you to ever stop
