I bought a board and it didn't come with the controller and my phone said it couldn't connect to the board/ do you need the controller to connect via your phone? I bought the board for parts or not working without the remote/ I wanted to make sure the board would work before buying the remote for $100: so expensive Thanks. I wasn't sure if you needed the remote to connect to the board via your phone, and do you think that the new remote would work with the board? I'm not sure how you would go about pairing it to the board (the new remote anyways thanks) ?
Hi mate, yes it will unlock automatically after you ride a bit more but if you want to override it straight away then you must do it via app. Apple phones do connect, androids will connect in a few weeks.

Yes, you do need the remote and need to turn the board and the remote on in order to connect to the phone.

@@PavelGarmas How do you know androids will connect in few weeks? Is there update coming? Because the app only works on older androids.
Have the same Problem with my Max... why the hell it wont connect or find any device??
