Dang, dude, I think i actually remember you. I was thinking, Bruce Blitz, that rings a bell but I can't remember exactly from where. You used to teach people to draw...and it was awesome. My dad showed me your television show from back in the day and it was pretty cool. You always knew just what you were doing. Nice to see you're still doing well.
Thanks Bruce! It's been 3 years since I watched this video and until now I have made more than 30 comic strips. You were my inspiration! ( My comics are really cool ).
@wordsme Hi! Thanks so much for writing and for the kind words. Please keep watching as I am always uploading more vids all the time! Keep on Cartoonin'!!
hello sir!cant believe am writing to you.sir am from india and i basically grew up watching you on tv al my life. You are the reason i am into cartoons and storyboarding.Still a student and yet to discover what life holds for me ahead.THANK YOU SO MUCH SIR..words cant express what you have done for me.
These are the drawings that I created when I was young . Didn't have any idea how to take steps until i took every piece old comic books and strips . 🤩
nice rockin videos my dad tought me how to draw couse he use to see your shows if my dad didn,t know how to draw I wouldn,t know how to draw but thanks to you I know how to draw lots of things
Are you really the real Bruce Blitz? I can't believe this! your like a rockstar to me, when I was I kid I used to love your shows! you're so great! we love you! :)
its my virson of the tenage mutant ninja turtles, i don't know if i will publish it cuz i haven't worked on it in a while. its pretty crappy for a comic book, im going to make a better one to publish. ^_^
+BBghost45 You sholdn't publish it.The TMNT are copyrighted and you could get in deep shit by publishing and earning money from it,with copyrighted characters.
Never heard of him till I watched this video and I wished I was born when this aired on tv or however people got to watch him I don’t know for sure but I think he’s making a come back he made a new video not to long.
Thanks Mr. Blitz for this 5 minute video pretty much covered everything I needed to know. I own iOS and Mac Apps like Strip Designer, iDraw, Pixelmator, and Handy Photo which I plan to use when creating some upcoming comics. Again this video was a huge help and thanks!
Hello! I'm 15 years old also and I love to create comics, cartoons, painting, and I also love to write. And now I want to publish my own comic book, so how do I do that?
Hi Bruce. Great video. One question. How do those comics get that glossy look and feel? I'm currently writing, storyboarding and drawing my own graphic novel and would like it to look as professional as it can be. I just wondered if there was a website or company that could take my paper copy and make it into a 'proper' comic you know.
When i need to ink the final copy, did you only have oneside with drawings on it, or when u made the whole comic did u like print it on both sides. if theres panels on each side would the marker or color leak through?
@msuperskarmory you can draw a rough drawing then try to figure out the porportions of your character's body and go from there. I have that problem too sometimes.
@ArjunforArohi The marker is a black felt tip that comes to a point. There are many different brands on the market. I suggest you go to an art store and experiment to find out which one you like best! Good Luck and Keep on Cartoonin'
You can self publish your work. After you follow the instructions of this video (witch are great) you can go to your local bookstore and print it as many times as you want. After that you got your first comic book!I know it's not the most fancy thing but its a good way to start. After that if your work is good you can look for a publisher. Most of the times the solution to a problem is the most simple thing ;) Hope I helped :)
Try looking into crowd funding sights like Kickstarter where you post a project proposal and people donate to it. Look into print-on-demand printing sights like Ka-Blam and Café’ Press. There you can order as little a ONE issue. Gone are the days of having to be picked up by a big publisher or distributer like Diamond and having to order 5,000 issues from a printer where the unsold issues just sit in your kitchen. Also check out Manga Studio. It’s the ONLY software designed for comic book art.
Hello, my name is Graciela and I teach some fantastic fourth grade students writing. We wanted to let you know, you have inspired us to write our own comics for the school newspaper. Thank you for posting the video. The students would like to hear from you, if possible. Daisy, Carlos, Julian, and Ms. Espinosa.
Its got pretty good tips the basics like brainstorming and stuff, the basics believe it or not is super important! Ive learned them in writting class. Im now graduated, but I was at a "college level" so my writting teacher said. But its good to have a refreshier, sometimes I forget to use the basics... youve inspired me to keep going, and make my comic mistakes and all. Also I was wondering is there a way to make the book itself? Like putting the pages together and stuff, is what I mean,
can you make a video on how to make up your own heros and put them in a comic and how to come up with villians please...and p.s. your probly the best cartoonist I've ever seen please respond back :D
You don't need help or advice, you just need to draw and draw and keep drawing. If you keep up drawing every single day you'll be a great artist by the time you graduate high school, and even better artist at the end of a bachelor's degree in college. It's all about the quantity of drawings you make, not the quality or techniques used to learn, that determines your progression. Of course this doesn't mean you don't ever want to spend your time making something good. Just enjoy it.
manga studio debuts really good for inking and colouring (i got mine for £15 on amazon) or you can try downloading gimp, i've never used it myself but i've heard good things about it. I think it's free to download.
I have a problem.Im a good drawer, but everytime i draw i draw it in too much detail so i cant draw it again, well I can but it doesnt look the same and i cant change his posision in the next scene. Any help ? btw I love your channel and I loved your show when i was a kid! :)))
