Hey Guys! I hope that you enjoy this deep clean and Declutter and that you can use some of the organization tips that I have to share with you all today! Thanks so much for watching and I’m excited for you all to declutter with me!
I love the dresser that you have for your kid so they can get to the clothes since the drawers come out easier than a traditional dresser and that means that the kid can involved in making decisions about what they will wear.
Oh my gosh the snack situation! Haha my kids are like bottomless pits and are constantly asking for snacks 😩 I’m going to try a snack box, where each child has a little box of multiple snacks and that’s all they have for the day, so when it’s gone it’s gone and they can’t ask for more. It’s supposed to give them the choice of when to eat them and help them learn to pace themselves. I don’t know how well it will work but I’m going to try because I can’t afford to keep buying so many snacks and I know they’re not starving because I feed them breakfast lunch and dinner! 🤪
I've been binge watching your Konmari cleaning videos and I tackled all junk drawers in my apartment this wkend! Hope your family stays safe and healthy Xoxo
I just discovered your channel and watched your kitchen redo. Just wanted to tell you it is beautiful. Especially love the black painted light fixture above your table.
I can totally relate to the issues with having to buy extra food. We don't have a traditional pantry and have to use one of our cabinets to store food so the struggle has been real with storing 2-3 weeks worth of food!!! lol and oh my gosh, my kids have always been snackers but I feel like its worse now. The more snacks we have in the house the more they want to eat them!!
Loving Life as Megan im in europe, i hope its available in the us, its literally in a pink plastic jar like container try googleing it and its called pink stufff and is toxic free, scrubcream that lathers as well its aaaaaamaziiing
I accidentally scroll your channel here YT. But i became one of your fan. I really love your organization and I hope to apply it in my own home. A fan from philippines😘😍🇵🇭
I am now having to cook 3x a day vs 1 on m-f. I used to only have to cook that much on weekends. I find myself purchasing groceries more often because of it 😀
@@lovinglifeasmegan Wow! 😳😳😳 I don't want to rush anything but I can hardly wait for things to go back to a normal as possible. I love spending the time with my family but somedays are harder than others.
Hey Megan, we also have narrow cabinets. Something I've found that works well are those small lazy Susans. That way you can just spin it around to reach for something. Love your videos, you're doing a great job.
@@lovinglifeasmegan This is the link for the lazy susans, it's a NZ one but you'll get the idea on size and I'm pretty sure once we're out of lock down you can get these at any other Kmart shop. www.kmart.co.nz/product/round-pantry-turntable/2638831
This was such an awesome video, Megan! I cannot believe how the pantry turned out. I bet you smile and breathe easier every time you walk in there now. My kid’s father is a pediatrician, so I feel you will all the free samples :) My kids are snacking like crazy too. It’s funny-many years ago I tried grocery shopping for two weeks at a time, but I found that all of us just ended up eating more food and running out of food before the 2 weeks was up, lol My daughter also has cubes for her clothes. The other day when we were decluttering, she had so much fun helping me Kon Marie fold them 💕
Loving Life as Megan It’s good though that you are reminding us all that even free stuff has it’s cost: storing and taking up space, etc... When my daughter was born, she ended up needing the special formula that’s like almost 30 dollars for a tiny little can. It was such a blessing because the vendors/drug reps who came to Eric’s office happily supplied as much as we needed for free, they just asked him to please let his patients know that we used their brand
I found out that cooking and eating smaller portions than before "quarantine situation" is really helpful when it comes to snacks. I don't have kids, but my brother is still a child so he wants to eat "something" every hour. So he eats some fruits or a small bowl of cereal or a little bit of "normal" food instead of snacks that kinda prevents us from buying more snacks 😌
"Stale snacks don't spark joy." 😂 girl. They don't! No help on the snacks, but we've been making alot of snacks instead of buying. But, we are definitely using alooooot more food. Ugh.
I love these videos! They give me so much motivation!! “Stale snacks don’t spark joy” 😂I totally agree! Your channel is growing so fast!! Congrats girly! You deserve it!! 💕
I’m loving the decluttering videos. You have done almost your entire house and I think it’s amazing. My kids are feeling extra snacky as well. I am doing a few things to curb this. They feel like they can snack more when they see so many snacks. I’m buying bulk too so I’m putting out just a few snack choices in the snack bins and “hiding” the rest on the top shelf behind the baking supplies. A lot of times they’re needing more than a snack so I am making peanut butter sandwiches or quesadillas to fill them up, instead of them eating 15 granola bars at once. And fruit/veggies where they can see them and grab quickly. They stay full longer with a carb and protein combined. Hope this helps. Stay well.
I really appreciate this content! I have been trying to use this time to really get organized. I just bought a cube organizer and bins to put my sons clothes in. I was so glad to see this video today!
We are working on "school stomach" around here lol breakfast, lunch at 1pm, snack at 3:30/4, dinner and a little something for dessert... Of course I have a 16 yr old and 8 year old, but both eat out of boredom..
Our kids are on the go allll day long lol, if you’ve seen any of my cleaning videos and see the state of the playroom 😳 they definitely aren’t bored lol I think it’s more emotional eating because they don’t like having their routine disrupted anymore than the adults do 💜
Am loving this decluttering series ❤ thank you for sharing 😊 I would definitely go with the individual snack box for your kiddos, making sure they understand that what is in there is all they will have for the day and they cannot ask for more. You might find the first couple of days they eat them too quickly but as long as you stick with it and don't give in they will learn quickly that they need to space them out xx
Each evening I let my two kids chose 3 snacks (one must be a fruit or veg) they put in their snack box on the worktop and if they want a snack they can helps themselves during the day. I don’t let them have anything else and that seems to work especially because they can Choose what they want. I’m probably only spending an extra 10/15 pound extra a week for lunch stuff.
I have two boys (2 & 4 years old) and we are going through a ton of food. Especially noodles and ice cream 😂 it's my first time being a stay at home mom because of the virus so this is all new to me lol
We implemented two designated snack times years ago in our house because I was over the constant questions for having snacks... so snack times at 10 & 3 anytime in that one hour time period and they’re not allowed to have more than one snack during that time either.
My husband has started being very strict with what the kids are allowed to eat & how often lol. I think our toddler is going through a growth spurt though because she literally asks for one snack after another and is also eating her full meals
I try to prevent my kiddos from snacking, but often times they just take out what they want to eat from the pantry and I just let them - they are kiddos and we are trying to enjoy this time together regardless of the circumstance! 🙂
Hi Megan, Love your video. I like how you talk through the video and explain how your doing things and your thought processes. I have watched other videos, which are good but a lot of time it’s just watching them clean. Thanks. I have a question. Where did you get the containers you have from the pantry for the flour, sugar, etc? I need to get some, but can’t spend a lot. Thanks
Just got my jaws order thanks for getting me to try new products I love the glass cleaner and disinfectant and the cloths, not a huge fan of the shower and kitchen spray seems the disinfectant spray works just as good but I am using it I am always excited when you post a new video i definately need the motivation lately thank you! And thanks for the code I used it when I purchased my jaws products! Keep up the great work!
Maybe cause it doesn't take away the rust we have really hard water so I normally use the black packaged lysol toilet bowl cleaner it's so strong but does remove the rust
Omg I always feel if things are messy my mind is the same, I have ocd things need to in right place, also symmetrical , I suffer with bipolar I'm still in isolation and August 1st will be my first day out Sending hugs from the uk
Love your channel, I aspire to get my channel going like you have. So my kids have also been snacking like crazy. I let them. This is a weird time for everyone but especially kids! I buy a bunch of off-brand snacks to help my budget (great value “nutri-grain” bars, great value/market pantry fruit snacks, market pantry applesauce/yogurt, etc) so yes they’re eating a bunch more yes my snack budget has gone up a little but I’m just letting it happen without going broke at the same time 😂
I put out a little basket of snacks for each of my kids and put a select amount of snacks in each and tell my kids that is their snack limit for the day
For the snacks: get each child a small basket or bin and set it on the counter. Put the number of snacks you want them to have for the day in their basket and that's all they get. Once it's empty they don't get more snacks or can only have fresh fruit for a snack.
I have spent so much more money on food! 🙈 The money I normally spend on petrol has been used for food! I feel so blessed that we managed to get food delivered during lockdown! So all in all doing well! Keep safe! ❤️❤️❤️🥰xxx
For the sample size stuff: empty all of the same kinds into a larger bottle and you will be more likely to use it. For some reason I won't ever use sample sizes but if I put stuff like shampoo and body wash in a larger bottle I will use it!
Trying to keep two weeks of groceries at a time definitely has been a struggle for maintaining an organized kitchen. I have no pantry so having already been using all my cabinets I can, I have no idea where to put all the excess stuff. 😕
I saw another video of a woman who put 2 book shelves into a closet and she used it as pantry space it worked out good and looked nice if thats an option for you :)
I am not the type of mother to tell my kids that they can’t eat when they are hungry or even just craving something. I’d hate to be so restrictive that my kids have to live uncomfortably, just so that I can hold on to that control 😎
@@lovinglifeasmegan when my kids hungry they get apple banana orange or carrot. They never going away hungry. But you need to recognise when they hungry and when they want sugar. I don't want make bad habits with sugar.
@@lovinglifeasmegan kids need figure in life to tell them what they can and what can't have. That's learn them that everything is for people but with control and healthy mind. They to small to decide if that 3rd sweet is good for them.
Maybe you don’t feed them enough durning meals . I noticed that I was doing that and like thirty mins later they were hundry again so we started telling them they have to finish all their food to get snacks and I wait two hours between snack or any meal we have so they can space it out
Make bigger meals that will fill them up longer, also only keep healthy things to snack on like fruits and veggies that will fill them up longer. The more sugar in the snacks they get, the more cravings they will get because the sugar is tricking them into thinking they are still hungry when they actually aren't. Also increase their water consumption because a lot of times when we think we are hungry our body is telling us we actually need water but we confuse the signals as wanting to eat not drink. To name a few things that will hopefully help, water is cheaper than snacks XD
Set a bin out for each child and give them a days worth of snacks. They can eat it at their own pace but when it’s gone, no more snacks for the day. 🤷🏼♀️. Self management and regulation. Or you may go broke😳
Someone else suggested that as well! That might work perfectly for my 6 year old but definitely not for the 2 year old 😂 she would eat her whole bin at one time and then spend the rest of the day crying for more

I saw another video of a woman who put 2 book shelves into a closet and she used it as pantry space it worked out good and looked nice if thats an option for you :)
This is a great idea!
Loved the video girl! Like always! Okay so I have Skillshare! Can you tell me what all you been using?? I’m like at a lost here!
I’ve been watching pretty much all of the organization classes that they have & also a ton of self help/mental health courses!
My kids have snacks only after dinner. No is no. They know that asking want help.😎
I noticed that I was doing that and like thirty mins later they were hundry again so we started telling them they have to finish all their food to get snacks and I wait two hours between snack or any meal we have so they can space it out
I definitely do feed them enough.
Why am I just getting a notification for this 🤨 youtube stays Trollin’ lol anyways I’m pumped for this video!
It trolls me so hard 🤣🤣
Good morning Megan.
Good morning! 🤗
That was a Mary Poppin’s cabinet in the kitchen!!!! 😅
😂😂😂😂
Powdered tide hot water and bleach would get that out. Best cleaner and most universal cleaner I’ve ever used.
I don’t use bleach for cleaning very often
Make bigger meals that will fill them up longer, also only keep healthy things to snack on like fruits and veggies that will fill them up longer. The more sugar in the snacks they get, the more cravings they will get because the sugar is tricking them into thinking they are still hungry when they actually aren't. Also increase their water consumption because a lot of times when we think we are hungry our body is telling us we actually need water but we confuse the signals as wanting to eat not drink. To name a few things that will hopefully help, water is cheaper than snacks XD
Water is definitely cheaper than snacks
Great video. I'm spending more money on food too! I have 2 teenage boys 16 19. They like to eat 😂
Oh man 😳 I remember when my brothers were teenagers they ate everything in sight!
Why don't you buy metal straws? They're very helpful. Saves lot of money
We just don’t like/use them
Some shelf paper Sister!!
I hate shelf paper lol it always gets stuck to the shelf
Set a bin out for each child and give them a days worth of snacks. They can eat it at their own pace but when it’s gone, no more snacks for the day. 🤷🏼♀️. Self management and regulation. Or you may go broke😳
Someone else suggested that as well! That might work perfectly for my 6 year old but definitely not for the 2 year old 😂 she would eat her whole bin at one time and then spend the rest of the day crying for more
How can anything placed on the floor be considered sanitary? I do appreciate your videos. Just sayin
It's not necessary for you to leave a comment like this
Yes! Snacking is crazy with the kids. I finally had to say okay if you are hungry ill make you food enough snacking. 😅 I'm mean but like come on.
Our toddler is constantly eating! Lol one thing after another, it makes me think she might be having a growth spurt

I have a husband and 1 17 year daughter and they are eating me out of house and home..
Yesss, our grocery budget more than doubled for a couple of weeks...but I’ve finally found a way to get it back under control
