@@yetanotherconsolerepairchannelfor that kind of money you can get a Rising Cam RT5109 4K 60FPS camera that X2 the quality. NRF is way overpriced. Not to dog you by no means. If your happy with it then keep it but in the future check out the one above. It’s miles superior and would be a camera you won’t have to upgrade in the future. It does 1080p also not just 4K. The one from NRF is using a frame interpolation to get the 60FPS but doesn’t do a bad job like most of the other cameras rebranded Ali-Express. IMX385 is decent but for what he sells them for it was a pass for me.
Why didn't you just not measure voltages which are coming in from that charging port to the mainboard? But had a lucky guess about the port? Northridgefix has in those cases a guess for M92T36 instead. If we will all have different lucky guesses, but no proper diagnosis, we won't help as many customers as we could ;).
@@yetanotherconsolerepairchannel we have just the same problem and I've replaced the port and M92T36 IC and still no charging :). So, I'm wandering, is the IC we've replaced OK, or maybe it's false, not an original M92 IC. Or, maybe other fault and how to prove it.
That port actually looked okay to start.... did you try it after a battery pull?? There's a weird bug that confuses the switch and doesn't allow a charge. Lol Some other methods include odd power button presses that fix it. My Switch was showing no life and I was surprised it could glitch like that. Good repair either way :)
The port looked perfect, actually, if not for one or two loose pins. I'm guessing thats all it took to keep it from charging. I haven't yet experienced the bug your referencing, but I'll keep that in mind on my next repair. Thanks for the heads up.
@@yetanotherconsolerepairchannel I just finished fixing all of my other issues on this Switch ^-^ last thing it needs is a nice new thermal paste. But that's gotta wait because all the other fixes could be done with no cash. Fixed: • Initial weird no-charging bug that made the console look completely bricked. • Left AND Right Joycons (both the drift and a mod in the right one for easy rcm) • Left Speaker (replaced with salvaged tablet speaker with lucky same exact form factor) Could swear there was something else... anyway, that leaves me with nothing but a thermal replacements and figuring out what's up with the voltage regulation. I can't use official chargers- and I have the vague suspicion this unit might not work with a dock because of that.... (but for now, I have an otherwise fully functional Switch! so that's cool. Edit: It's a V1 model, so super lucky too.)
Always nice to come across another repair channel
Thanks 👍

What microscope camera are you using? Looks clear. Nice channel. I've subscribed.
Its the Northridge Fix v2 microscope. I really like it as well. Thanks for the sub!
@@yetanotherconsolerepairchannel I figured it was since it was black like theirs. It looks good though.

Hello, could you give me a tour of your laboratory? I'm really excited to set up mine and I'm looking for inspiration.
Great video! I'm subscribed 🤩

Sometimes is just faster to replace the parts that most commonly fail. An educated guess I suppose.
