Cairn Evo Sandals have a smoother upper and thin flat tough sole better for hiking, riding a bicycle, strolling around town, The Cairn Evo PRO has a toe-triangle bar up front for better traction. Also has water activated extra-sticky Vibram Mega-grip outsole that works awesome on wet environments like rafting, boating, the beach, water parks, even wet floors you are safer and easier to negotiate with that sole like if you were washing your car, truck or boat. What you wear can help you by what activity you are involved in.

Fantastic detailed review Gary! I have been watching reviews all day and this one was the most informative. I am trying to decide between the Pro 2 or the 3D and I’m curious, now that it has been a little while, how you are liking the 3D’s. Are they much heavier? Stiffer? Do they provide more “squish” in the step or are they less comfortable than the Pro’s. Thanks in advance!

To be honest I am still undecided. 🤔 I have not done a trough hike with the 3D’s yet… so I think I need more time with them to give an honest opinion

I didn't like the 3d ones. Gave them to a friend, but I have two pairs of the regular ones.

Hello Gary how you doing. This was a great review you did of both sandals. I have a pair of Bedrock sandals and I love them. It is the only Footwear that I have besides flip flops. I am a chubby fat dude with big very very extremely wide feet sz 15 with very chubby fat wide toes that are equally straight across making my foot very very wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe. My foot outgrew shoes , socks , & boots when i was young & flip flops is the only footwear that will barely and i mean barely fit my foot because of my toes being wider than the flip flop strap. There are days where I cannot get my flip-flops to fit on my feet & I would have to go Barefooted 👣 for the day. When I bought my Bedrock sandals it stopped all that problem. Thanks to my wife loving my extremely wide feet with chubby fat wide toes she got me these Bedrock sandals. The only problem I have with these sandals was the footbed wore out within 2 months of having them. My sandals look exactly like your old pair a sandal footbed look like. I have a nice very wide Worn out 4 toe footprint oh my sandals. Both of my fifth toe hangs off the footbed of the sandal because of my toes being so wide. I like how you showed how the footbed of the sandaIs look and how many miles you put on the sandal. That shows how tough the sound those are. It would have been nice to see what #1.old pair on and #1. new pair on to see what they look like being on the foot. I am thinking about getting the Bedrock sandal Pro 3. This was a very good video you put together. Thank you so much for sharing this video.

Thanks Mack for the kind words
I will Endeavour to do that video for you.
Even if the anti-slip food bed wears away they are still quite grippy.
In regards the tread/soul of the shoe. the non-pro vision last a bit longer, due to the tougher material. but you sacrifice the ant- slip,in comparison to the pro Version with a slightly soft tread

Owned both but sad to say the 3D version is so uncomfortable long term like almost two years of daily use here in Texas… prefers the non 3D actually got another pair… hows it going for you after months?

Yer right…. I still have my old pair of bedrocks, which still have a bit more life left in them.
I’ve been changing between both trying to break the new ones in ( 3D )

Hi! Im bout to buy the 3d version but i don't know the right size for me still... 12 maybe is too much even though the bedrock recommends adding 1.5-2 cm more, actually my feet are 27,5cm and my sandals are 28 cm long but although my heel sticks out a bit... Wich size do you recommend? Thanks a lot!

These sandals are true to size - don’t get them bigger than your normal shoe size - my shoes size is 10 & 1/2 UK or 11 & 1/2 US.
      they don’t do half sizes I don’t believe …
On my bedrocks it says 11/12 US that will translate into a size 10 UK. The half a size are usually there because I have wide feet.
A good way to figure this out is - get a bit technical - draw around your feet, while standing on paper or cardboard - measure the distance - make sure your pencil is vertical, whilst you’re drawing around your feet.
Also, look at all your; shoes/trainers/ runners- whatever you have and see if there is a consistency in the sizing you already possess.
Just by looking at that, should give you an accurate idea on the shoe size/sandals size you need.
These sandals are not like normal flip-flops or thongs as they’re called in Australia .
There isn’t much overhang on the ankle area or front toe.
I would say if you can fit your finger in the front and one in the back, while standing directly over the top of the sandal. you’ll on a winner.
I can barely get my finger in the front and the back.
“you don’t want to have too much overhang” especially on the front. as when you’re going over varied services These are the points that will catch.
So it does literally have to mirror your foot with not a lot of overhang - 1.5 - 2cm sounds about right to me.
I would try and keeping it to the 1.5cm side.
By measuring your foot on a piece of paper and adding 1 - 1.5cm you should be sweet. ( it sounds to me like you would be in an 11/12 sandal size. As you have size 11 us feet the same as me
