I use the sol de janeiro shampoo/ conditioner, bum bum cream, body/ hair mist, dry shampoo, the deodorant, the lip balm, the candle, and the perfume. 🤣 I’m completely obsessed. I need to get the scrub next! I feel like a high priced prostitute/ escort when I wear it, but like in an expensive sexy way if that makes sense 😂

Will recomend the Laura Mercier ambre vanille body butter as well! You have to try it Demi! I think it smells better than the bumbum actually, and the smell lasts forever on the skin as well😍 it smells creamy, ambery, vanilla, like an exclusive buttery vanilla ice cream. And its very hydrating and makes your skin look super smooth and oily☺️

The Tree Hut body scrub and body butter are called Tropic Glow and while they are similar in scent to Bum Bum cream, in my opinion they actually smell better and might be liked more by those who don’t like the scent of the Bum Bum cream. 😉👌

It's actually pronounced "Boom Boom". And yes, exfoliation followed by light dry oil (on damp skin), clarins toning oil is my ride or die and medium heavy lotion if you're dry skin type to light for those with oily skin. I've been using the Nivea skin firming type, helps not only make my skin glow like a goddess, it makes my perfumes smell dreamy for AGES!

I still use dollar general shampoo and deodorant and a off brand body spray. 😂 My husband is a unique man and is aroused at the smell of my musk, he will ask me to not shower sometimes, I can see why as I like his musk as well but he says it arouses him far more than any fragrance could so sometimes I will not shower for him, of course I don’t go out in public smelling horrible but most of our dates are just long drives or being on water.

This was very helpful! I love using a body cream to enhance the scent/longevity of my fragrance. I will try these combinations. Just got a decant of Minuet et Demi and I really like it, will get a full size soon. I thought it was more suitable to fall but will try wearing it this summer. Please do a layering different perfumes video.

My bf hates the way sol de jenaro smells. I love it! He loves the baccarat rouge 540 perfume, but bc of an injury I had, its too weak for me to pick up on. I can’t smell it on myself at all. My favorite is tocca cleopatra, but everyone tells me its an old lady perfume 😒

I love bum bum cream. Such an elegant groumand scent with beautiful floral(jasmine). And creamy but not too heavy texture is heaven! Haven't tried the scrub but sounds good. Can't afford some of your recommended perfumes to layer with, but I have Brazilian Crush body spray and Kayali Vanilla so I shall try! Thanks for the video!

the bodylotion perle de coco from the &other stories smells just like the bum bum sol de janeiro. I am using the bodylotion from &other stories for years and recently I bought the bum bum. Honestly perle the coco lasts longer and it is way cheaper. I personally prefer more the one from the &other stories (and not because of the price). They also have it as a body scrub.
Yesss I think it's better! After a while the bum bum cream starts smelling a tad funky on me, but this is not the case at all with the &other stories one - thanks for reminding me I need to stock up hehe!

Sol de Janeiro products last 3 hours on my skin. The best and cheapest body exfoliator I've ever tried is Frank Body Coconut Coffee Scrub (smells like coffee, if you don't like coffee don't go for this).
Someone on here suggested to try the perles de coco by "& other stories" I have the sample pack of the bumbum cream, mist and shower gel and it really does smell exactly the same. When I first applied it I wasn't sure because the projection wasn't strong but once settled into the skin woooow it's actually better! And I found it more hydrating also so winwin. Definitely worth a try guys x
I've loved the original SDJ scent for years and it definitely lasts so long. I accidentally tried it with Alien one day and it was actually so amazing!!! I used the bum bum cream when I was out of town because I needed moisturizer, but I also wanted to wear a perfume but the only one I had with me was Alien, so I sprayed it anyways and it ended up smelling so amazing together! I was kinda shocked, because I normally wouldnt combine Alien with any other scent since it's so unique on its own. I am glad I did though.

Fun video but I can't stand the smell of the bumbum cream. There is an ingredient in it that gives me an instant migraine. I like Demi's suggestion about mixing and layering Minuit er Demi with lotions or fragrances. I have to try that with my bottle.

It doesn't last more than 4 hours but during that time it is intoxicating.
There is no opening it just immediately smells wonderful and almost impossible to apply to much. A woman could apply it and immediately hop on the couch with a guy for a movie. I doubt he would be able to think about anything but her the whole time.
Even more incredible is it is so affordable on discount sites. You could pick up a bottle for about 20 dollars.
If your a woman you should have that one for close encounters, it really isn't even fair. It should come with a warning label.

I have just come across it in the Fragrantica recommendations. I was particularly searching for scents with quince in it. I have expected rather niche perfumes and boom! There it was!

@@davidblaine2669 thanks for letting me know. It was hugely popular when it came out but it had a faulty sprayer that would not work and it fell to the side. Well they fixed the spayer but it got forgot people just kinda forgot about it because so many fragrances were coming out.

Let me tell you it is a relative to an apple, but it is not for consumation in its raw state, but rather in cakes, or jams, or compotes. What is a characteristics, it is its aroma. It is very aromatic, our ancestors used the fruit as an air freshener in rooms - just putting in somewhere in the room. It is slightly sweet, but rather sour and luxuriously feeling. I cannot compare it to something what you might know, because it is quite unique.

Unpopular opinion: I will never understand why many people associate smelling sexy with sweet perfumes. Like in order to smell sexy it needs to be an overly sweet fragrance
I once read a study where men felt compelled to a female that had sweet smell emanating such as creamy cinnamon etc., so perhaps it is sort of ancestral and it is a trigger in the brain of men. I think many scents are sensual but yes, the study showed men were positively attracted to these type of aromas, thus the conclusion of why people link sweet to sexy (sensual is completely a different feeling).
