Yeah some of the big miners like BHP & FMG - and the companies that supply them like GNG - have got hammered recently which is dragging the overall index down. But my quality non-mining stocks have been doing just fine

The Oz economy is about just 3 sectors : Miners, Banks & Retailers! If commodities decline, logically so do our Miners. Normally this provokes stock rotation into what's left : Banks & Retailers. Just look at CBA and WES! That's the picture.
