Gurrrrrllll thank you for this! I found an old wig I love but couldn't wear because it was stretched out. I put the band on tonight and honey I can whip my hair back and forth and that sucka does not fall off!

I still cant imagine that this way will completely hold my wig on but I'm willing to try! I have several wigs that my daughter re-gifted to me and they are such good wigs but underneath is loose. I just wear them as is but I am very glad you gave me options. It Definitely, affect how you feel when you wear a loose wig.

The way you explained everything made sense to me. Normally I observe and learn but in this case I needed to "understand" why I need to place X here, why I need to cut this at that length, etc.

THANK YOU!!! I had my band way to loose. I cut 4 inches off of it and resewed it..7 inches left...now it's tight enough to remove the side and top combs... which has always hurt. I put the bottom comb and scoped over the band. Perfect no lift and no need for the gel. Your way was much easier and never again will I have a too loose or too tight band. Again.. .THANK YOU!!!

gest video , soo I made my firdt wig today (: I got a wig mesh cap I believe it's called. tried it on fit great I have a small head. I sewed down my frontal. then glued my weave hair. but when I cut the lace off and the cap underneath it and put wig on.. it was lil short in the front , and wouldn't stay where I need. so would the elastic band help or make worse ?
Thanks so VERY much for this info. I had no idea. I'm definitely going to sew the elastic band on my wigs. I don't know if the show still exists but women who go on the Jerry Springer show should use these elastic bands on their wigs. LOLOL! Nobody will get to pull them off during the normal fights.

I don't have anything to hold the front down and was wondering if I mistakingly bought one that was meant to be glued or taped down. Can bobby pins help it a little?

Hey Ms Classy.....question....so I
sewed the back band and went with the 3 1/2 in to cut off. wig is on...cut the mesh to the baby hair line now I'm confused about the front end band. I didn't see you install the front band so How do I figure out the forehead band?
