I had a no start today and had my truck towed home. I scanned and got a U0190 code. I was thinking it was the FSCM, but after watching your video I went out to check the fuse and sure enough it was hard and broken and I had to break into pieces to get it out. I put a new fuse and truck runs great. You saved me hundreds in parts and programming. Thank you.

Thanks for the video man! I jumped the FPCM as you did but my pump did not kick on. Left the jumper wires in and wiggled the connecter on the actual fuel pump and it finally kicked on. Turns out I just had a loose wire. Thanks again!
great video, I love that you showed the wiring diagram and explained how to trace it out, and understanding it. Wiring diagrams are so important to be able to read and there are alot of newer techs that just cannot do it. The code checking thing was funny, I think the same thing when I see people ask that question without scanning for codes.
Thank you for this... mine was throwing me off because I was putting the test light on the top contacts to the fuse and they were both lighting up. I checked the contacts at the connector to the module and I was getting no power. I ended up removing the fuse and it was burnt at the bottom leg. Now let's just hope the fuse doesn't keep burning out... This video really helped.
Fom what I understand the fuel pump is Pulse Width Modulated, meaning the speed of the motor is controlled py a pulse sent by the FPCM. It doesn't run off of straight DC voltage. The point of the FPCM is to regulate the fuel pressure by reading the pressure sensor and adjusting the speed of the pump. Thats how they don't have a return line from the fuel rail and a pressure regulator.
Oh one more thing. I work alone in my shop also. Remember the old plastic door buzzers mounted under the dash? I put 2 pig tales to it and use it for all kinds of power and ground testing in the back. no long cords and a test light, just listen.
I have been looking at how to drain my fuel tank by activating the fuel pump bypass. Since mine doesn't have a simple relay and you showed how to activate the fuel pump clearly and can remove the bad gas I have in my tank. Thank you.

I just replaced my fuel pump and crank position sensor, shortly afterward it would stall and read "no fuel". Swapped my old, functioning OEM pump back in, still does the same thing where it'll intermittently run for a few minutes perfectly, show correct fuel level, then stall and show no fuel. Cleaned all my grounds as well. Are those similar symptoms to what you had? Mine's an '04 and I didn't even know there was such thing as a fuel system control module. 04 will not have the control module. I would check the fuel pump relay. Probably need to get into checking power and ground to pump when it dies and won’t start.

Hi Dieseldog, Hoping a response from you. I own a Nissan Qashqai Automatic 2012 Accenta 1.6 and I am based out in UK. I am desperately seeking information as my car is central to my life. After a lot of research I arrived at your video for Fuel pump control module. I have been having sleepless nights as buying a new car is not an alternative for me now. Mechanics couldn’t find the issue even after many fixes. My car has been cutting out on power while driving, that is the car stops totally without any power specially at the traffic signals. It will take a while for the car to turn on and starts to do the same. My gut confidence is .. issue is something with the way fuel is delivered. Mechanic has replaced Crank shaft sensor, replaced spark plugs, replaced Air mass sensor due to P011016 error code and replaced Throttle body. On top of it verified the fuel tank and cleaned the fuel in the tank filter. Nothing helped the car continued to give the issue. After this a Bosch Fuel pump is fitted. It looked very promising without any issue for first 3 weeks and the car cutting out on power specially at traffic signals has returned back and it wont start immediately. It takes a while after many reattempts to start and I get back home. After a lot of research I arrived at your video for Fuel pump control module. What are your thoughts on the issue.I am narrowing down the issue to Engine control module or fuel pump control module. Hoping an answer. Let me know your thoughts please.

Hey I’m getting the lost communication with fuel pump control module but my truck still runs I’ve cleared the codes and it comes back do you know what the problem could be
Absolutely got that happening to me too!
@@thepressureson23 I've had that code for 3 years, it comes back about 10 miles after I clear it. I'm waiting for the day it leaves me stranded. I did have a ground issue a few days ago that threw my truck into limp mode... Lost comm with TCM ECM and a sleep of other codes. cleaned the ground on body mount. Batt to motor and the one by the bumper. Fixed my other codes but still get the u0109
Thanks for the video. If it helps anyone else, on mine the FSCM fuse was corroded so bad the prong was rusted off the fuse
If you can send it to me by taking photos of both sheets. or in any type of file. for example in PDF. Help me, in Venezuela we are suffering too much to be able to obtain such valuable information. I need to repair a 2011 silverado 4x4 5.3L single tank engine. I've been trying to find those plans for a month.
Can you provide the pdf for the wiring diagram? Thank you!
LOL "OEM zip ties"
Another awesome video 👍
On my scan tool on engine code p069E and on fuel pump cm code p2635
Hi Dieseldog,
Hoping a response from you.
Take a hammer and screwdriver and just knock the old module to the openings easy peasy
So if some one can help . It says this code but truck starts just fine and runs fine but it will sometimes crank no start then I’ll press the peddle and crank and it starts up . Wtf lol
It is a criminals world when a man has to pay to program anything bought for a vehicle.
No code......: on OBD not anti theft. Not pass code, not ignition, cranks did start and died now cranks no start still no start
