Hi Lizzy! Oh you got so much done in May, such lovely stitches. I'm very inspired to start a larger piece, most of mine are small to medium. And your project bags...they were on my Maynia list, I still have today and tomorrow. Happy Stitches!
Hello l am in the East Midlands in Derby, England . I think your work is very accomplished and you have a lovely selection of projects. Thank you for your time and effort. Jan x
I love seeing what you are working on! Your stitching is beautiful as are your finishes. Your quilting is lovely as well. I also like watching Kimberly at Fat Quarter Shop and I tried to do as much as she does and like you, there is NO way I could keep up. Ever! So funny that all around the world are in awe of her stitching speed. 😂Although I have to say you are a pretty quick stitcher too! You have so many projects that are so large and pretty soon you have stitched your way through them. 🙂
Thank you! I stitch every evening, sometimes 1 thread, sometimes 2 hrs. It all depends on tiredness. Kimberley got me into a good stitching habit! And I don’t have too many wips on the go at once. Happy stitching!
I love making project bags with my stitching!! I love to do smalls but my dough bowls are full every season so I always need another project bag! Love yours! And your little bag is adorable! Love love love seeing your finished!!❤
First time watching your channel. I love the things that you make. Your stitching is beautiful and I enjoy the colors that you pick for your projects. Keep up the good work!!!
I almost missed your video :S But thankfully youtube was thoughtful and suggested me to watch you. Love your new project bag! Well done! And yes, stitch all the BBD :D :D
You are so creative with your finishing! I’ve heard it said and think it’s true that when you don’t have something, that’s when true creativity comes out. We get spoiled in the states having too many choices! Love watching your show and pretty projects in the background. 😊
Hi Liz. Just found you on flosstube so I binged your videos. I enjoy seeing your WIPs and FF/FFOs. Great job on the drums! Love all the Blackbirds you’re stitching. Looking forward to your future videos.
Loved catching up with you! Gorgeous stitching. Sorry for thieving all the Garden Clubs! I need to find the Honey one. Really love your colour changes on Basket of Cherries ❤
Ha ha don’t apologise! First in first serve. I’ll be waiting at least 2 months for my next purchases of those anyways. There are a couple patterns that have topped my wish list so those are getting priority. Happy stitching and wish I could make it to your stitchy group but can’t!
Happy to have found your channel. I’m in the UK and very familiar with the places you mentioned as I used to live in the West Midlands. My Mum was also from Sutton Coldfield 🙂. Beautiful stitching which I look forward to following

I’m a new subscriber..Tara Sullivan from Sully Stitches mentioned you today so I started from episode 1 and am working my way along. You are a wonderful flosstuber! Love all your projects and I’m afraid my list of Plum Street and Blackbird designs is going to go nuts lol I also love the quilted projects you have shown….your project bags are so cute and the quilts you have as well. Can you talk about your sewing machine cover? It’s so pretty and I’d love to make one for my machine. Heading to the next episode! Suzette from Washington State in the US
Hello Suzette! So glad you enjoyed the videos. Yes I have a very big wish list of charts too, I probably won't ever get them all, so I am trying to stitch what I have. The sewing machine cover was a tutorial from Threadbare Creations blog. I altered the shape to fit my Bernina. I'll try and show it on a sewing video when I can get to that!
@@lizzythestitcher thanks so much, Lizzy! I’ll look for the blog and will also look forward to your discussion of it at some point. Have a beautiful day 😊 Suzette
Love the project bag, using the tiny town embroidered panel - did you use interfacing for the bag lining too? Haven't made a project bag yet but all the tutorials use heavy weight iron interfacing and looking on line it seems to be quite expensive? (I live in Dunedin) Many thanks🙂
Thank you! I used a woven iron on interfacing from local Bernina shop for the crossstitch part, it’s very cheap! And for the bag I used quilt batting from spotlight. (Cotton batting). I used tutorial from Elizabethanncanstitch UA-cam, but adjust my measurements to suit how I like it. You could do a test bag with some cheap material for a try.
The table topper is fig tree quilts, called buttercup. The fabric I used is a mix of Lella boutique Bloomington (greens), and some random yellows from a local shop. Thanks for watching and hope that helps.
@@lizzythestitcher Thank you! It's so cute - I will have to go get this pattern. I thought I saw some Lella fabric in there too, one of my favs. Thanks again!

The quilt behind you is beautiful! And so is the cross stitch piece. How do you have it hanging on the wall? Love the cottage piece also💗
Thanks, I have a small dowel over a hook, and corner tabs on back of crossstitch to slot the dowel in. The quilt is on a curtain rod. Happy stitching!

How did you end up in New Zealand ? Did you move as teach child or adult?
My dad moved here, my mum followed to join him. My brothers and I were born in New Zealand. Had a few trips back to UK when I was younger.
