I understand that Toya first star card looks so emotionless coming from the rich family (cough) Toya father… But I still care about Toya because he’s so kind and sweet boy
Wow tbh I never looked at 1☆ card in that way, it's deeper than it looks. And about Toya I don't think that the card is bad at all, I think the emotionless expression fits him since he doesn't know how to express himself well, and probably his first impression to anyone would be like that, so it's more immersive when you read the story and see his true sweet personality! This video was really interesting and informative!! I didn't cared about these cards before, but now I can finally appreciate them! 💐💖
Despite everything that happens in Kanade's life, she never loses faith in herself, and it always seemed amazing to me. I think the pose on her 1* card, namely the position of the hands, is just about that. Kanade has a core and, when necessary, she can really rely on herself (sounds strange, but that’s what I think)
Toya’s card definitely makes sense for him, I think - one of his traits is that he’s not very expressive and his face tends not to show emotion despite him feeling it, so despite the card not showing that much of what he’s like below that, it would definitely be out of character if he’d looked more expressive ir had a stranger/more lively pose. Rui’s I do agree with, but the fact that his clothes look messy (shirt looks ruffled), as well as his rolled-up sleeves (and being the only character with them), suggests he doesn’t care about complying with social norms and perhaps is a bit of an outcast in that way. Then I would argue that Ena’s card DOES give us a decent impression if her character - seeking approval and attention is one of her core aspects and is what drives her conflict, as getting none of it is what enforces her belief she’s talentless (see her reaction ti not getting attention on her art acc compared to her selfies one, the reason she STARTED her selfies one, her always searching out comments mentioning the art on niigo videos and her reactions to the lack of comments mentioning it, the absence of a prize in Insatiable Pale Colour being what finally catalyses her going to the empty sekai and wanting to disappear, her flashback reaction to her teacher’s comments in On This Blank Canvas I Paint and him not being able to say anything about her art being what makes her quit the lessons, etc). It may not portray her snappiness, stubbornness etc, but that would be really hard to portray at the same time as her approval-seeking nature, and I think SEGA made the right choice to portray what was most important to her and her arc. Great video though!
7:09 -> that's because, as you said, she's trying to please others!! ena's character is really complex, but in general, ena has this bad habit of showing what she deems to be her "best side", and she hides her "bad side" (only showing it to her close friends+ brother) because she feels like it makes her too flawed to be lovable, so it basically means that she wants to leave a good impression (i know im basically repeating what you said, i'm just trying to explain why her 1* card gives an incorrect idea of the character!!
I'd say kanade's pose kinda looks like she's trying to embrace someone who isn't there, representative of her *cough* non existent parents and her *cough* savior complex
I think Toya‘s card fits a lot, he was the more reserved and quiet guy in the beginning of the game, we got to see him grow over time and he became more confident and open, even Mizuki and Akito said he started to smile more because of his friends, what I love most about Toya is that he cherishes his friendship a lot, especially with memories, he always wants to keep pictures with his friends :)
I had the exact same first impression of Ena! I thought she was such a bitch, but then when I actually got further in the story I was like oh…she’s not that bad at all is she? 😭💀 She really does look like such an attention seeker, she reminded me of my little sister at first. But after getting to know her character she’s now one of my favorites and I find her pretty relatable sometimes ^^
@the_tapka yeah im saying at the absolute least people can view the cards as important for their crystals but higher than that are the story from the cards

He’s literally the kindest VBS member tbh

Great video though!
ty for your analysis! amazing job!!💖
No matter how many years have passed, that 1* Akito card is still the most iconic one in history.
(Nice analysis btw)

3:54 Her hands looks like she is fidgetting, i remember well this was a sign of nervousness and shyness

nice analysis tho, im def subscribing
i tried to explain that her card shows only 1 ena's side instead of her whole personality💖
As an overthinker who loves proseka analysis I really like this video
They are the rarest Because you can get them only 1time :)
i deadass never thought this deep about 1☆ cards 😭 (sorry if this sounds rude i REALLY love the video)
7:22 Airi also has her back turned in her own card tho 🫥
you're right, ty, my bad!🙏
yes very useful for character ranking XD
😒
I'd say kanade's pose kinda looks like she's trying to embrace someone who isn't there, representative of her *cough* non existent parents and her *cough* savior complex
when i first started proseka, i didn’t think much of mafuyu, i thought she was just like the others. but now that 1* card makes me kinda uneasy
I really like how you explained this! This is super explained well thank you! Especially for me the ichikas one.
I love and i am biggest fan of PJSK/Proseka/Sekai❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Love this video ! :) ❤
This is really interesting, thanks for sharing this with us!!!
Do you think that 1star cards are also important in some ways for their side stories?
depends on stories, most of them rather tell us some details than an idea of characters personalities
@@the_tapka you're completely right
THE 1* CARDS SHOWS SO MUCH EMOTIONS ⭐️💕💕
woah!! I love this!! well done its very accurate ! 💗
I had the exact same first impression of Ena! I thought she was such a bitch, but then when I actually got further in the story I was like oh…she’s not that bad at all is she? 😭💀

They look like school photos for the yearbook
I think Kanade attends online school (kinda forgot)
i see lots of animations in the background, it would be nice to give credits to stay out of trouble, and also show appreciation.
all materials (except gifs) were taken from jp and kr puroseka's official yt channels💖
I think the best 1-star is…
*AKITOES*
The only thing I use for one star cards are for free character ranks 😂
I think they are at least important enough from the amount of crystals you get from maxing them out
that wasn't the point of the video😔
@the_tapka yeah im saying at the absolute least people can view the cards as important for their crystals but higher than that are the story from the cards
nice
