"I have so much more time in a day than I think that I do" So true!! We don't even realize the amount of things we miss just from spending that time in social media
BIG FAN 😻 8 hour dopamine detox sounds like the hardest thing in the world
omg how am I just seeing this!!! this is wild I'm such a fan of you on ig and completely forgot you have a youtube channel (subscwibed now✅) I loved your take on this so much I was like grinning watching the whole time - you're such a sweet human🥹 I'm so happy you made this challenge your own and got so much out of it❤️❤️ thank you for the shout!🫶
"An 8-hour dopamine detox is EXACTLY what I need!" I say, as I hear my toddler yelling "mom" in the background :D
I would really love to try this! I'm a visual arts student, and this is my last semester and for my last artwork, I feel like I kept getting distracted and being on my phone for long stretches of time, then when I got back to it, I felt overwhelmed and didn't want to continue for the day. Practicing this this summer might help me for when I start my ceramic classes! Thank you for sharing✨✨✨⭐
omg definitely give it a go!! i'm still carrying a lot of the good things i learned here with me
When you cut out anything that makes you think you can immerse yourself in your senses and that is what a meditative state is. Music can be helpful for that if it is not distracting, making you think about it instead of just enjoying your sense of hearing. Painting uses other senses as well, visual and touch plus others really. It's a flow state.
sounds like it was so fruitful for you which is amazing! excited for more vlogs
💖
*what if I get a call*
*But when do I EVER get a call*
love this I think I will try this too
As a fellow distracted artist this is an amazing idea!
Wow, this is such a good practice! Inspiring, I want to do the same!
I think that's the best way to actually do things that give you so much happiness but also stresses you out when you are a perfectionist. You've got a new follower :)
AH thank you so much! lovely to have u here!
Beautiful painting! Glad to see you’re making videos again ✌🏻
AH thank you so much!! i'm glad to be back
Love those colors! Great job!💓
LOVED this video! Painting AND zines! Perfect! 💖 Would love to see a zine video if you wanna make one! 💚✨🌼
the sad thing about this video is that the easel + camera angle just obstructs pouch mob (kageyama) watching me in the background the whole time...
My favourite part was the BOOOUUUUYYYYYYEEEE right up in my face at the end. 10/10.
HAHA it's gonna be my trademark now
nice!
Wow the final piece is breathtaking! What a process
THANK U MAABIEEEEEEE
Beautiful reflection, beautiful painting!!! It was so nice to watch you work traditionally and listen to your thoughts of working with silence 😱 HEHE LOVE YA 🤩🕺💖✨
I LOVE U CAT!!! glad we could watch this one together hehe
I absolutely adore your painting, its so beautiful
Oooh i love how your piece came out! Ive muted all but whatsapp notifications on my phone which cut down my distractions loads
HAHAHAHA YOU ON THE COUCH AFTER MEALPREP
this made me a subscriber!
thank you so much!
Soo soothing and inspiring to watch!! thank you :)
thank you for watching!!!
Would love a zine video if you’re interested in making one!
omg SUPER INTERESTED IN MAKING ONE!!! might take me a bit but i'll try get one up!
I find that I like to listen to UA-cam or podcasts when I paint in studio, but when I’m doing plein air painting, I prefer not to listen to anything but the environment around me. BUT I find my paint tends to dry faster when outside than when in my studio. I work in acrylic and my studio work usually has a lot more layers than my plein air stuff to so a lot more downtime literally waiting for paint to dry. 😂
omg i would love to do more plein air painting! i get the vibes though, when i'm climbing/hiking i don't like to listen to anything too =u= and YOU HAVE A GOOD POINT HAHAHA waiting for paint to dry is kinda painful without anything else to do
this was lovely! i think i would need music too or i might go a little mad ahahaha
thank you so much! yeah i feel like it decreased my quality of life a little HAHA
Did you add pastels by the end?
Currently trying to not go on social media whenever I'm doing uni stuff and I have to put my phone in a different room... otherwise I will end up on tiktok or insta eventually ( ;∀;)
