  • This recipe makes 40 balls.
    1 1/2 cups of flour
    1 tsp ap seasoning
    1 cup warm water
    2 cups of flaked saltfish that has been boiled and washed
    1 tsp. yeast
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    Aromatics-
    1tbsp minced garlic
    1 scallion chopped
    1/4 cup onion finely chopped pepper
    1 pimento pepper finely chopped
    1 habanero chopped
    ----------
    1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    2 tbsp. green seasoning - • Video 1
    1/8 tsp. salt - optional
    oil for frying

    Of all the UA-cam tutorials on accra, this recipe was the most successful! The difference here was frying the saltfish in the aromatics, the amount of yeast and flour and the addition of seasoning. Thanks for sharing!

    I tried it they came out amazing i did my batter a bit lighter did leave it a bit before frying and it was crispy and great

      Just use Bob's Red Mill 1 to 1 Gluten free flour..... Same recipe. Just substitute the flour.

    Why the yeast if it has no time to bloom?

      As you are frying it starts to bloom. Trust me , give it a try.
