only 15 minutes into the pod and I already love it. Mark seems much more laid back and Esther really did her homework to do a deep dive into the guest. Great work!
I've listened to every Tuesdays with Stories episodes and Esther was able to get Mark to talk about things I've never heard him say. Loved this episode!
So sad to hear little Mark’s sense of safety was non existent and continues to haunt him as an adult. As a mom, it breaks my heart and couldn’t imagine 😭
Unsolicited advice here, but one way to combat this is to put your kid in martial arts. The amount of self confidence/sense of safety that can teach a kid is priceless.

“Basketball goal”? I don’t think I’ve ever heard that expression before in my life. That being said, Mark Normand is one of my favorite stand-up comics.
That one question was so good! Totally based on Esther’s empathy and imagination. Well done! I’ve never heard anyone ask him something like that. 11:40
Describing LA experience from Mark was on point especially the realization that he's talking about dealing with transplants, there are real people who actually grew up in LA. The sprawling nature of the city is definitely a negative -- in a lot of ways I'd say it's more accurate to look at LA not as a city but a bunch of small cities next to each other.
@@LBones01 Annie is sassy, not mean and she's the one who carries the show. Esther can be funny but a lot of times she sits there like an indoor cat who would rather be napping. Meanwhile Khalyla looks for approval from the guests, in one episode she'll present herself as quirky and offbeat and in the next she'll present an idealized version of herself like she has everything sorted out. The main issue is their dynamic wearing thin, like the same jokes about Esther being a secret lesbian even though she already came out as bi and about Khalyla being hot but not realizing it except she definitely realizes it.
Lol, I love how when Mark gets anxious about something in conversation, he will slide down and lay himself flat and look up at the ceiling in horror, lol 😅
