Some enterprising dude or lady will find this many years from now and restore it while marveling at the awesome simple construction.
It may be simple, but definitly not easy. Well done
You do such great work, and I like to watch you create and do magic with the wood. You have all the best toys too. Have a wonderful day
Minimalism at its best 👍
Modern? Yes. Simple? Not the careful and detailed way you make it! This is stunning. Just beautiful. Also, I like your new jig.
Gorgeous early 21st century antique. One of a kind. Irreplaceable.
A good carpenter could do it.
There are 2. He just showed you in the video 😂😂😂
@@svenhurdurburdursson8765 Still irreplaceable to someone in the year 2124. 😀
That design is timeless. Beautifully done!
Very nice, clean lines and utilitarian.
Beautiful! Simple and elegant!
Your work is always beautiful.
Amazing, my friend, thank you!
Fantastic design, sleek and efficient!
very clever and very well made.
Nice work and tidy worshop! Thanks for the written explanations, very useful!
Beautiful work. You certainly got your money's worth out of that jig. I believe you could dance a jig on those desks!!!
This guy is amazing.
Beautiful and clean. Very nice. The lamp was way cool.
Far from your restorations but I like this very much too. Congratulations from France !
Nice desk, I like watching furniture builds as much as restorations
Very nice! I like the combination of paint and light wood. It's modern and fresh. I also like that you made the drawers free standing on casters so they can be used wherever it is convenient. Great job.
Beautiful classic modern design. Love it. What a fun video to watch. Thanks Ahti.
Ahti, the desk was professionally constructed, great job, but I love, love the lamp.
Much awaited, much appreciated excellent work as always from you.
Always a pleasure to watch your videos buddy, old or new you are a fantastic craftsman…👍🏻
I always wondered "This guy is simply amazing at fixing old things, no matter what part is broken, he can fix it.... so surely he can make something entirely from scratch? Why doesnt he?"
Thank you for proving that hypothesis! Very nice.
Do you enjoy making from new as much as fixing old?
I have always thought the same thing. I'm sure he can make a TON of money designing and making his own items. Not that I would want him to stop restoring, though. There are too many awesome pieces out there that need his sweet touch!
Yes!
@@karencox3235 I would think he could actually make more money restoring antiques than making and selling new furniture that would have to compete with the Ikeas of the world.
You are simply the best!
You do beautiful work, sir!
A virtuoso performing a beloved sonata with ease, utter professionalism, and confidence. A pleasure to watch and learn from. Thanks for posting.
Lucky the student/worker who will get to use this elegant and functional work of art. Hope they subscribe! 😂
I would so love a table saw like yours.
Wow 😲... that was amazing work, Ahti! 👍
Someone will be lucky to use this desk for many years to come because you built a quality piece of furniture.
Thanks for the great content!
This channel is awesome, I’m a subscriber from Saskatchewan Canada, and a loyal watcher. I turn the sound off and watch the videos because it helps with my ADHD. Keep the videos coming please, I love the craftsmanship 👍🏻👍🏻
So beautiful ❤️. And I really love the Lamp on the table 😊
Me too! I wined if he made it. Wouldn’t surprise me if he did.
It is more difficult to make something brand new! Congratulations!😊
What a cool looking desk. Wonderful job
You do beautiful work and it's a pleasure to watch. ❤
What a spectacle, Ahti! Like always! I look forward to your posts eagerly. Thank you!
OK, mind blown. I couldn't see this coming.
such beautiful work ahti... always wonderful... aloha ✌️🙏🤙
Wow, we recently got a drill guide for better control, but that jig is like that drill guide times ten.
Beautiful. I’d love to have that in my workroom.
Nicely laid out and more important clean shop
Gorgeous Desk Beautifully Crafted!
Thank you, Ahti, for sharing your wonderful carpentry skills. Those were beautiful desks, simple, elegant, and very, very versatile. This was a fun video.
Both are BEAUTIFUL! And the lamp is cute too ❤
still the best furniture channel on youtube
What an elegant, yet simple desk! I love it!! The drawer handles are amazing. You're the BEST, Ahti!!!
Your craftmanship is fantastic.
Ahti, I've often checked out the Drillpro but being a cheap a$$ I use the Milescraft Joint Pro. Not a s pretty and maybe not as durable but it has worked "OK" for me. As usual I ALWAYS look forward to your posts!
You are so good at your profession, love watching your videos 😊
love that lamp, go back to grey
I’m not even half way through the video and I already love it. It’s very clear and well put together. Altogether, you make terrific videos.
Simply amazing! Yours is my absolute favorite woodworking channel.
The techniques and depth of knowledge you display is both educational and inspiring.
Could this be adapted to a multifunctional craft room?
I paint, sew, and do woodworking. Need a desk/bench in my craft room for cutting fabric and storing threads.
Need another bench/desk for my woodworking in the garage.
Any suggestions?
I think you need more sturdy and heavier design for woodwork.
It's always compelling to watch someone with skill and expertise create something useful as well as beautiful. Kudos.
Excelente trabajo y hermoso diseño. Gracias por compartirlo! Un abrazo!

Beautiful !
Wow! That’s a great looking desk. I bet you can build just about anything. Was this made for a client?
As I’m watching you build, I was thinking about the masters of old & how they’d go about making the same table. I would imagine it would take a lot more than 12 days though.
Wish you were here in Houston, TX as I have a few pieces I’d love to have you restore!
I for sure thought the black parts were metal from the thumbnail 😂, love the finished product.
O projeto ficou lindo 👏
Única coisa que n gostei foi dessas corrediças
Elas dam muito defeito e se desgastam rápido
Teria sido melhor corrediças telescópicas
Mais fora isso ficou top ❤
Nice! Wish it was mine!
Nice desk… cool lamp…🙌👌🙌

Beautiful!!
You should make a chair (or two) to go with the desk.... 👀
Beautiful but I am obsessed with that lamp on top.
Отличная работа.
Современный стол из современных мебельных материалов. Немного непреввчно видеть такую работу, а не одну из невероятных реставраций.
Beautifully done!
Thanks for sharing video👍👍🙏🙏
Are you a skiier or roller skater? Your stance while brushing and rolling on the varnish leads me to believe you are. Nice build! Thank you for sharing.
Nice to see you make furniture from scratch. Such talent! ❤
I love the lamp too! Did you make it?
No. One Estonian guy makes them.
Wow! I’m blown away.
What a beautiful piece of modern art to become a desk with drawers. It took you 12 days but it will last forever for it was well made. Thank you for sharing another part of yourself.
♥️♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟
Very nice!
Making new things now? This is UA-cam imperialism, AT!
😂
This is not simple work modern desk, but very good desk....
Epic. I would like one of those.
I love your work. especially with old furnitures. This is also nice but bringing old furniture back to life is more interesting to me. Whatever you do, it’s great.!
A very elegant looking piece. The only one of it's kind in the world. Great job.
I was shocked at the materials cost. I wonder what it would have been with SOLID wood? All-in-all, excellent work, compliments. Great outcome.
Anyone who thinks they can save money building this kind of furniture is in for a big surprise.
You can save a great deal if you buy used furniture and repurpose the wood. Unfortunately real wood in furniture is getting kind of rare...
The other thing to note is that the top was solid butcher block 3-4 inches thick? That's where most of his cost was on this piece if I had to guess.
That doweling jig is so aesthetic and stylish!
Hello AT beautifully done good job
Кропотливая, трудоёмкая, в тоже время восхитительная работа. Итог прекрасен. Спасибо за видос, лайк.
Four dowels in-line. Take that IKEA! 😄
My job is performed mainly from behind a desk. And seeing you make one makes me want to work with my hands and create, and re-connect with what I think I am supposed to do and be as a human being. I don't know yet how I'll get there but I do know that I will. Thank you Ahti.
Thank you for posting! You really got “jiggy with it”.😅
This was a great change of pace from the restoration videos, but equally as brilliant and entertaining
Mr magic fingers you make everything look so easy thanks Great build.
Love it. Great job
Ahti, this is a beautiful design. I like this so much. It has a timeless, clean look that really appeals to me.
You almost make me believe that with all of the correct tools and materials I could build furniture too.
Really beautiful. ✨️
The surface looks like PUR. I prefer to spray paint it. At least that is what I did 25 years ago, when making custom made tables for myself. The surface was a nice, sort of satin matte. Ahti, I really love the front panel of the drawers, a very nice and clean design. Perfect work, as we expected from you. Thank you.
I'm in love.
so nice seeing you create instead of re-creating...
Nice job!
Jak się ma taki park maszynowy i zdolności to praca sprawia przyjemność
Nicely done! Cheers!
YES. Yes. And the people have all the equipment at home
Grande lavoro, complimenti e ciao
Salve maestro la sua precisione e spaventosa e con piacere guardo il video
