    Good Pipes and Drums!
Quite the numbers of players too
Drummers creatively keeping the cadence while on the march is effective.

Only in America ! these outfits must have been designed by someone as confused as Woodstock, the little bird in the Charlie Brown cartoon . " Are you my mommy ?" . The pipers are wearing Feather Bonnets, while the Drummers are wearing some sort of Pie on their heads. Saffron Plaids with black kilts ? So I'm guessing that the mother of someone in the band designed this mishmash of Irish/Scottish nonsense after a bottle of Jameson.

hello Jim, I agree with you on two points only, the sporran and the spats are Scottish, THE KILT is IRISH in origin, and it is entirely different to what you wear today. What you Scots wear today is a sort of skirt which was designed for an English King many years ago. It was a King George, it was designed for him because he refused to wear the Scottish Dress which was akin to the Irish Kilt . If you want to look it up then do so in the English University's, the truth is out there if you want to really know. Yours Garryown

I will respectfully disagree as to the origin of the kilt. It was not designed for King George IV, but in fact predates him by some 200 years. It is true that he revived the fashion of wearing Highland dress after the Acts of proscription had banned it in the previous century. The Phila Mhor or great kilt dates back to the 16th century and become popular in the Scottish Highlands. The Phila Beag or Small kilt is a much more modern garment designed for wear by the Military. The history of the kilt in Ireland can only be truly traced back to the mid 19th century when it became a symbol of Irish Nationalism. The Saffron kilt has since been adopted by Pipers of Irish regiments. In spite of what Mel Gibson would have us believe, there is no evidence of the Irish wearing kilts prior to this. @@mkeibergin3775

@@jimpomac the only thing irish about this is the irish flag(i believe that was a gift from the french). the kilt is scottish.....type in.....irish kilt history-your kilt........then......irish kilts: the ultimate guide to everything you need to know lets go ireland.........they wiil go to the pub at night and have their glass o jamesons whisky, well jameson was a scotsman who built a distillery in ireland bringing his head distiller from scotland with him. type in jamesons whisky-wikipedia......bushmills reputed to be the oldest distillery in the world..wrong, it was'nt built til the late 1700s by ian anderson a protestant (probably a scot). the date on the bottle was the date king james of scotland granted a license to his scottish kin to distill whisky in that area......whisky is scottish in origins. then, when their having their pint o guinness, again, no irish, english in origins. invented by ralph harwood in the 1720s it was initially called entire stout, but it was popular with the london porters/barrowboys it was nicknamed porters. ( the other theory is welsh) that type o beer/stout made its way to ireland in the 1770s at the same time it was making it's way to america. then, when they go to their "ceilidth at night, well again, scottish in origins adopted in the late 1800s/early 1900s from scotland..then when they are doing their irish stepdance, adopted also from scotland in the late 1800s . then , their celidth music also from scotland. fiddle reel music/accordian music from scotland. the irish music you see today only started in the late 1950s. again, adopted from the scottish style alang with many scots and english sangs. when you see them in their leprechaun suits....adopted from the italian luprecus.. you can type in.......irish whisky; myth or fact-potstilled......whisky invented in scotland by tyronesian monks in a town called lindores in fife..
