I'm betting BOBOVR's version will plug in to the 3.5 jack but get power by connecting a USB C plug to the battery on the Pro or Plus head strap. That would limit the customer base but might help push sales of their head straps too.

I know this is a little early, but have you heard from Kiwi about a Quest 3 version of this?
The perfect Quest 2 audio solution: Off-ear, uses USB for power and source audio, third-party strap-compatible, one or no cables, and balanced (as all things should be) in weight and sound signature.
We can only dream for now!
Problem with that, is you run into something like Logitech's solution and no Link cable compatibility.
So uh I just now bought this today and im only 12 so im wondering if i could adjust the headphones on to my ears
I still use my Logitech buds for the oculus that I think work great..I feel like anything that’s going to make my head more hot and extra weight is a turn off and I feel like these would

for me, there has not been a good enough audio solution that I just rock earbuds (tried the ones from etsy, don't fit exactly right for me) as I use the BOBOVR M2 Pro Battery Pack Head Strap. can't stand elite style head straps. put too much pressure on my head.
I was waiting to see if you got a review pair, I managed to grab some just waiting for the delivery which will hopefully be early next week.

@@jaybratt they did, I havent had a good chance to try them out yet ( I'm more of a social vr gamer and my friends havent been online yet) but from what I could tell they are comfy and not needing to add a pair of headphones over the top makes a big difference in ease of use. I always found headphones would push the headstrp onto my ears which was uncomfortable.
Audio quality seems decent, not better than headphones but the ease of use makes up for it in my opinion.

I'll wait for bobo. Until then i'm more than happy with my DAS headphones on my M2 Pro. The fact that I got mine on so cleanly with a 3D printed adapter tells me that Bobo will probably make an add-on style solution

The headphones on this look very comfy so I'm tempted to get this. However I really like the bobo straps battery and hope their upcoming audio solution would just connect onto it or we might need to buy a whole new head strap for the headphones. Right now I'm using an elite strap with vr pad on the back and top it's comfortable and for audio I'm using the bionic mantis headphones. not great audio though imo.

Their audio solution will be able to fit all current straps and won't need you to buy another strap to get it :)
Does that Logitech Chorus work plugged into the Bobo battery?
Every reviewer i've seen has had their speakers shut off when plugged into a power source other than the elite strap's smart battery that communicates with the quest.
I held off buying the Chorus because of it, but will be happy to buy and modify it if it does actually work with the batteries.
Also, not sure why Kiwi didn't just make the cable longer and run it along the back of the strap, hopefully if it goes into production they'll do that. No reason for it to be messy when it's literally just 1 product.
The Logitech are so much worse than that even. No the battery doesn't work but also the passthrough charging has stopped working altogether now on mine. Also every time I go to use it I have to unplug and replug it into the headset to get it to connect. They're quite the disappointment 😞
Can the headphones be taken of?
Is that the Chorus on an M1 plus? Everywhere I've seen have said it only fits the official head straps. I was thinking about getting an M1 plus and was bummed to hear the Chorus wouldn't fit so it would be awesome to find out if it does.

I think it's worth it to upgrade to the Deluxe Audio Strap for basically the same price with the adapters.

If that were ALL YOU WANTED the Chorus but that comes with a big BUT... I would way rather get this Kiwi setup for every other reason. Convenience, comfort, lasting, price.. etc

@@simonprinz3815 maybe hold out a bit and see what Bobo makes. I'm working on a One Month Later video on the chorus because mine have lost a lot of functionality already ☹️ I can't even charge through them now.
@@jaybratt oh shit, thanks for the heads up. I pre-ordered unfortunately, but that explains why they did not ship it yet. Should have been shipped by 9.2.2022, a week ago. No statement from Logitech so far, they are very secretive about it.
I wonder why these audio solution are being made just now and not earlier... I did get the Meta elite strap specifically for the Chorus, would have to send it back. Did Bobo VR mention anything, that they are developing something?

only usable with their strap? thats too bad, also is that fan you using pulling air in? does it really cool you off? also wouldnt that pull particles toward your eyes ?
A full review of that fan should be out this weekend but yeah it does cool, it blows towards your forehead so the chances of blowing something into your eyes is possible but less likely.

Any observations compared to the Mantis?
Leagues better than the mantis for feel, audio, and cables, but the mantis can fit about any head strap. Might even fit future headsets so that's one area it wins.
3:30 what would you put into S-Tier for audio then?
I use Koss Porta Pros with Yaxi Pads and feel like nothing can beat them price to performance wise, but it is kindy clumsy to put them on separately first then the Q2 and than cable manage them before playing or watching something so I am still on the lookout for a comparable option sound wise that is more convenient to use

I was hoping in a separate kiwi design headset not integrated to their headstrap... saying so I am honestly not impressed, good price considering is coming with a very good strap, but looks messy, almost a prototype, honestly is an headstrap with integrated audio and you don't think of a solution for the cable? They just put a couple of clip in the existing headstrap and that's it, this is why I was hoping for a separate speaker system

Im not into good enough, alot of 3rd party hardware is good enough. I like my chorus off ear (worth the $$$) Also on the topic of too hot, the kiwi controller grips cover (sweaty, sweaty, sweaty) im back to my AMVR covers
I have the chorus since a little before launch and my passthrough charging has stopped working already ☹️ I also have to unplug and replug them everytime I swap the headset to someone so I'm pretty disappointed in them. I'll be making a one month later video from the initial review to go over it but it's sad because they do have the best overall audio experience. A little muddy but so much louder and more bass than any other audio solution.
@@jaybratt I get it! The struggle is real, but not deal breaking! I believe the usb-c decision is so they can make it louder. BTW try turning all the way up and then backing off by 1 (makes the muddy sound a bit better)
I'm also hoping mine is faulty and that not everyone's will quit working after a month. The USB c is definitely to get the power it needs for the large drivers. That's why no other audio solution can get that much sound out of the 3.5 I'm hoping BoboVR brings something awesome out that can also work with my favorite head straps.
