I grew up and live in the town Jessee James was born. I pass by his childhood home every day.

My great grandmother sold Jesse james his horses after he tried to steal them and she almost killed him at gun point for it. They made a deal. My grandmother has a newspaper article.

Jesse James did most of his dealings in the immediate area of where I grew up. Missouri has produced only a few famous individuals, so it’s interesting to see a video made about someone so close to my home!
But he was infamaumos
Famously infamous
That is cool. But you really don't want to be in wild places of famous and imfamous people. We have aloooot of famous Florida man's here (didnt want to correctly said florida men, just ruins it lol) and it can be quite embarrassing lol
Mark twain, who was also a Missouri rebel soldier.
Harry Truman was from Missouri as well, and famous for much better reasons...

My mother's grandma was cousins with Jesse James. When him and his friends were on the run or needed a place to lay low, play cards and enjoy a home-cooked meal they'd hide out back in the shed.

It’s really cool learning about people who are from your hometown. He’s buried about 30 minutes from my home.
This channel is under rated they even nice animations
There has always been a story in my family about a couple of my ancestors that rode with Jesse James they were with him for several years and were caught and hung for the crimes they committed when they separated from jesse
Wow, I can see many wanting to join him given the climate of constant atrocities in Missouri during that time. It's been passed down that ancestors of mine hid the James gang from authorities. He had safe havens at many farms and houses in the state.

I didn't know Jesse James died like that. Thank you for the update, the Infographics Show..!! Amazing animation and narration as usual..!! :)
@Blender Study Fitting death. Jessie James was as good of a shot as you could be. Infographic really played it down. Basically, Jessie and his original gang went up against elite military guys. Only Jessie and his brother survived with most of the elite military guys dying.

His brother Frank was the brains of the outfit
Jesse James liked his alcohol and gambling. His expensive lifestyle was one of the motivations for the frequency of the James gang's activities
Yes and apparently frank was also the better shot.. jesse had all the charisma though
Sounds like a more rampant version of Dutch Van Der Linde
I always thought maybe the gang was based on the james younger gang but I dont know if that makes sense since rdr2 was in 1899. Now I think maybe it was based on Butch Cassidys wild bunch. But yeah watching these type of videos definitely remind me of the gang

Jesse James tried to hang one of my ancestors from a tree for his money, but let him go at the last minute because they realized that he had actually taken his money to the local bank earlier that week. They then proceeded to rob the bank. You can actually go tour the bank today and see how they robbed it.
