    Can't believe I've had this camera since October 2020 and i JUST NOW found out that the regular High Speed Continuous mode prioritizes tracking!!! No wonder i've been struggling so much with my burst accuracy since i started shooting sports recently! Not enough ppl have spoken about that major difference, and i've been racking my brain as to why i wasn't getting focus in HSC+. Thanks a ton, Mark!!

      Just checking in to say I covered another race yesterday with HSC on. Way better results, so many more keepers and with only half the shots taken compared to my last race. This mode really is amazing guys, so much more control of the burst at 7fps. Thanks again, man!

    Grew up using a Nikon shooting in B&W in the 80s, decades later I buy this M6, these settings blow my mind 🎞

    Thanks for the detailed video . Is there a remote that can be used with this camera?

    This is my first real camera. I decided on the M6 Mark II after researching options for a couple montha. I'm starting to scratch the surface on settings. I appreciate you getting straight to the point and WHY you are making the changes. I will for sure watch your other videos!
    Also, any entry-level, hobbyist post-processing SW/product recommendations?

    Great video , thank you. One question: why RAW and not CRAW?

    • @UHDGamers-re2xj
      @UHDGamers-re2xj 2 роки тому

      I believe C-RAW doesn’t capture as much information, from what I can tell with my camera.

    Very good info. I'm happy that the M6 mark ii is still usable at 6400 ISO for stills and even 12800 ISO for video. I use 800 ISO for stills and 6400 ISO for video on my M50 and that's the max I would go without too much noise.

      @markmorinii  3 роки тому +1

      You're definitely pushing the limits at those numbers... but with a little noise reduction you can make it work.

    Great video guy. I'm going to plunk down and get this or the X-S10. Can you tell me if I can just power this on and start shooting? I ask because I ride a motorcycle and enjoy pulling out my GoPro with my left hand, powering up and start shooting with the same hand while riding. I would find it bothersome if I had to power this or the X-S10 up and acknowledge a message as I've heard you have to do with this camera. Thanks man!

      @markmorinii  3 роки тому +1

      Flick it on and you’re ready to shoot with the same settings you had when you powered it down previously.

      Battery dead? Firmware out of date? What did canon support say?

      @@markmorinii thanks for the response man ... i was following your setting and when I changed the ISO speed, the screen started to flash and it turned off. .. I just bought this camera 3 days ago... how can i update the firmware??

    • @markmorinii
      @markmorinii  3 роки тому +1

      If you bought it 3 days ago it probably has old firmware. Either way, changing your auto iso settings wouldn’t break your camera... is the battery charged? Go to the canon support page to find firmware updates and full instructions. You’ll need to download the right canon software

    One question to the pro: When I compare my shots on the M6 MII Touchscreen with the exports on my mobile or computer, the exported images (RAW) are much darker. I already turned down screen brightness but seems not the issue. Any idea or is this a normal condition?

    • @autreumn
      @autreumn 3 роки тому

      I experienced this as well! I read that it's due to our phone screen's pixel count as compared to a laptop screen. Maybe Mark could enlighten us on this?

    • @markmorinii
      @markmorinii  3 роки тому

      Hard to pin the answer down on this one. Depending on the type of screen, and I’m not expert on this, but I think retina displays make blacks more black by actually turning off that pixel, whereas on the back of the camera or older / cheaper phones, the pixel is still backlit and emitting a perceptible level of light.
      Another explanation could be the software or app you’re viewing the raw image in, and what picture profile that app applies on import.
      Have you solved this with editing?

    • @autreumn
      @autreumn 3 роки тому

      @@markmorinii thanks Mark! When I exported the images to my laptop, the RAW images were brilliant! I did some edits to the brightness and lowered the contrast, converted them to JPEG using the Canon Digital Photo Professional app. Viewing the JPEG images in my phone, they don't look too bad. I guess it's really just my phone...

      @z4ng3tsu1ch1g0 2 роки тому +2

      This is the reason to evaluate exposure using the histogram and not the lcd screen. Lcd screens change from system to system but ur histogram will always be the same. If the histogram is skewed in either direction your photo isnt exposed correctly.
