Hi from New York! Its so nice to hear your experience of the USA our country IS amazing and welcoming to everyone, more than a lot of other countries especially in Asia. So glad you like our food and 4 seasons! You may not know this but there is the tiniest slightest most subtle competition between the east coast and the west lol. Obviously we're more awesome and theyre just jealous of us. Next time youre in New York, drive up north 6 hours to see Canada and the Niagra Falls! :) Im very interested in NK and have done a lot of research about your home country. I feel for your people!
As someone from the North East (basically NOVA/DC through MA), I sadly would have to recommend visiting the American South over visiting the NE, especially if you want to experience the different cultures in the USA (However I would not go as far as recommending to visit the West Coast. ;)) Not only is Southern Hospitality and Culture definitely worth. experiencing; but Netflix (and probably other production companies too) is filming a LOT of stuff in GA. As someone in the film business, it would definitely be a good place to check out.
@BossLady We haven't done our job as Americans if he doesn't go back to Seoul with fond stories of fried potatoes and cornbread from a cast iron skillet lol
I was just thinking the same; I live in The Midwest and I'd love to take a group of people like him to a college football game, with the whole tailgate and game experience. I imagine taking them to a game in the SEC would blow their minds; all the great food and grilling during the tailgate, and then the whole atmosphere of the game. For people from another country and culture, especially one so insulated like North Korea, a college football game would probably seem like an event from another planet!
@@Jon.A.Scholt omg Hell Yeah! Arkansas here. Being one of the “little” teams that plays in the SEC, I’d love to take him to a game in Fayetteville at Razorback Stadium. (Fayetteville is hands-down one of the best college towns in the country, and the surrounding Ozarks are really so beautiful, too.) Maybe the game against LSU, for the Battle of the Boot. But definitely hook him up with plenty of food and drink in some tailgating beforehand!
He can get that right here in NYC and Philly. Country cooking is in our blood. It’s called soul food. Black folks WERE the cooks down south for centuries.❤
If you come back to New York City you must visit Queens. It is one of the most culturally and ethnically diverse places in the world. When I was little it was mostly European immigrants or 2nd & 3rd generations of those immigrants (I’m 1st generation, I was born in Europe). In the late 1970s many Asians started coming to Flushing. Now if you walk in downtown Flushing you will find the most authentic Asian cuisines, especially Korean, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese.
Very happy you got to come and enjoy being here. It's wonderful to hear people say good things about the US because we are a free Nation and although they say we have too much greasy n salty food there are so many other places to eat healthy! We are a diverse Country and we absolutely love our freedom and I love that everyone from anywhere can come and see for themselves that there is much more than you see in the movies. Also your English is great! Proud of you!!! I wish you well in all your endeavors 👏🏼
Yes, I love my country because of the blue states, the free states where my human rights are protected, not the red states, the slave states that have legally enslaved women and girls. Our Democratic states go further in protecting women’s rights than anywhere else on earth, they’re always fighting to protect me, to protect the health and lives of all of the women and girls in this country, to stand up for liberty and the pursuit of happiness, although the Republican states are more aggressive than any of the worst, most misogynistic countries on earth in their quest to subject all women to childbearing slavery.
I hope that one day this beautiful flag will again wave over a country where *every* state is a land of the free, not only the blue ones, and that in the meantime those true Americans will continue to stand strong and remain proud of the beacon of freedom and hope that they give to women everywhere, especially those like me suffering stuck in red states within their own country, that one day our rights will be restored, expanded, protected, and respected from sea to shining sea 🇺🇸

I hear this all the time, people think it’s terrible, and we are racist because of what gets told on the news all the time and how they portray us in America. Then people come here, and they realize it’s not like that. We are a bunch of friendly people, from all walks of life, all different races, cultures, ethnicities. We grow up in a diverse community, it’s crazy how they only portray America as hateful, not just other news sources from out of America, but also, our own news sources. They always show the terrible stuff that 1 percent of the population does, but never the good stuff that the rest of us do. That’s really sad, our own country tearing us down.😐

I am from L.A. originally. I wish I could give you a tour of L.A. that includes a hike to the Hollywood sign. I am glad you are finally free and I wish you all the best.
Harlem (Uptown) is no different from Brooklyn in terms of safety. I’ve lived in both places for 7yrs each and I am originally from Queens. You definitely should give it a try for a visit. It’s been heavily gentrified and they do have a night life with tons of cafes and bars and restaurants. Try visiting places like Red rooster, Fumo, Melba’s, etc
I'm so glad you got to experience what real life is all about! It's such a shame that North Korea is the way it is.....there are so many good people trapped there. Given the opportunity, there's people there that could change the world....but the government silences them completely.

West coast includes Oregon and Washington and those states definitely have 4 seasons and is not vacation weather year round. Maybe try visiting the Seattle area next trip.
Great city, except for the high degree of intolerance, bloated and corrupt public service system, abundance of homeless poo poo, and excess of dirty needles.

It's sad that Americans are mocked by some people around the world because they are in fact very kind people. Stop listening to the BS on the news or internet.
Hollywood really is its own thing, you have to leave LA to get a good feel for the entire coast. Portland is much different than LA, and Seattle is different yet again. I hope you get a chance to visit again - the US is enormous, there's so much to explore.

Come to Hawaii. We are a melting pot of Asian cultures / Hawaiian / South Pacific and Caucasians like me. Poi dogs.. all of us (that means mixed and mixed is good)
Texas weather is way different then where I'm at, the East Coast is warming in the summer but in Texas when I visit it was hot and little bit dry for me but the food wowser, the west is different then the East!
As a UA-camr and a food fan try commenting on how some dishes, like the hamburgers, vary from place to place. I'm a native Kansan, and I was in South Korea for a year, loved the food, but different items, especially street food had wide variance.
It's true about Hollywood, the really nice stuff you see on TV is just a few blocks. The rest of it is really dirty and run down, heck a lot of that walk of fame is all broken concrete.
If you ever come to Boston we have some great sights and amazing food. I'm sure many of us who watch these videos would love to show you around! Also, I agree the east coast is the best place to live ❤😊
Hey there Mr. Park. Glad you spent some time in Texas. I am in the Houston area myself. You seem to be very personable - we would welcome you back to live and work here. Add to our arts community. To hang out in Texas, may I suggest the Austin/New Braunfels/San Antonio area. But we are a BIG state (we have three different regional accents), so you can find just about anything to do here (except snow ski. We rent Colorado for that in the winter. They hate us but love our money). Lots and lots of arts across the state. Come be with us again (and bring friends).
I'm sad someone made him feel like he should have some special written invitation to go to California (Holywood). That's the thing about America, it's a free country. You come visit us and once you're here, go where you want! Welcome welcome! 🤗

@@Marchant2 it’s only said if you come illegally or a foreigner keeps saying, in my country we do it this way…heck we say that to Americans who move into a different state and keep saying, in my state we do it this way.

Come up to Northern California is way better than the Southern part, there is Collins Lake, Lake Tahoe, and other beautiful sights. Redwood National Forest is also a must, especially if you like Hiking. Idaho is also a beautiful state which is good for Hunting, camping and Hiking.
I can’t imagine coming from such a restricted country with such starvation and going to the States where we oversize our portions of foods and the majority of people (including myself) are over weight.
I'm glad you got to visit Texas. It's where I was raised from childhood. This is an amazing state. There is desert, mountains and forests. But the only drawback is the poisonous snake's so be very careful as they have stopped making anti-venom. The worst snake here is the rattlesnake and copperhead. The copperhead is more dangerous because they blend in with the pine-needles.
Glad you enjoyed it. As someone who also escaped communism, I agree with you there's nothing like being free.
Cuba? I follow a couple from there. Yoel and Mari.
Cuba would be my guess also. As far as Yoel Romero goes, he's one of my all time favorite fighters. "I luuu you, see you soon, boi!"

Hello,Yu Sung, from Houston, Texas. 🙋🏻♂️🇺🇸🤝🇰🇵🇰🇷
I'm so glad you got to experience what real life is all about! It's such a shame that North Korea is the way it is.....there are so many good people trapped there. Given the opportunity, there's people there that could change the world....but the government silences them completely.
There ARE ignorant people in America, just as there are everywhere else, and they ARE racist. But most Americans are good, kind and welcoming people. Good luck to you throughout your life while you pursue your dreams!! Your mom is extremely brave to have gotten you out of North Korea.
West coast includes Oregon and Washington and those states definitely have 4 seasons and is not vacation weather year round. Maybe try visiting the Seattle area next trip.
I hope someday you can visit San Francisco (north of LA). It's beautiful and exciting.
Great city, except for the high degree of intolerance, bloated and corrupt public service system, abundance of homeless poo poo, and excess of dirty needles.
This young man is a TREASURE! I live in California but I’m in Northern California….if I lived down south, I’d invite him over FOR SURE! What a joy to see this country through the eyes of visitors ❤. Please come back! Feel free to STAY! Much love from Northern California
Hope when you're back in NY, that some friends can take you to the other boroughs: The Bronx, Queens, and Brooklyn.
You are quite right. New York is unique and it IS the most free city in the world for creative people.
As a Native American Kansas boy, I didn't even need the, (poorly translated) subtitles, the South Korean English Teachers have to be stellar
YOU SHOULD COME TO LAS VEGAS. IT'S LIKE DISNEYLAND FOR ADULTS
Next trip! He might never leave 🎉😂
Diversity is one of the United States greatest strengths. I'm glad this guy was treated well and had a good time in my country.
Diversity is Not a strength. Exclusivity is a strength.
I live near Seattle so we have a huge Asian community here. By the way I understand you just fine. Just enough of an accent to make you different.
Glad vin’s got a fan out there.
Diversity in the United States is what makes us great.
This is about the fourth or fifth video I saw where someone from another country came here and was worried about racism. Then once they got here, they didn't experience any. I wonder what's up with that?
I am happy that you living in freedom😊
Love from India 🇮🇳 ♥️
And I really wish you live in more happiness 😊
Beautiful young man. I send you my best wishes x
If you ever come back to New York, visit The Bronx. You will be amazed with our botanical garden, our zoo, and our beautiful neighborhoods.
I'll invite you to LA! Come back here and I'll show you around^^
It's sad that Americans are mocked by some people around the world because they are in fact very kind people. Stop listening to the BS on the news or internet.
So glad you enjoyed your visit.
Hopefully you can come back there is so much more to see.
❤
Hollywood really is its own thing, you have to leave LA to get a good feel for the entire coast. Portland is much different than LA, and Seattle is different yet again. I hope you get a chance to visit again - the US is enormous, there's so much to explore.
Become a citizen and come live here forever.
as someone who grew up and lives in NY glad you love nyc look for the tim burton bar next time it's really cool and normally has beetle juice and Edward scissor hands actors wandering about depending on the day you go
Hi from Virginia! Come on back and visit again sometime!
You are Always Welcome Sweety Pie💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
You would love to come to New Zealand there are so many different races here I'm mixed race I am Maori/Korean my father is Korean and Mother is Maori
I'm glad you be enjoyed your visit to America. Hopefully you get to return soon! Enjoy your freedom!
Very interesting. I enjoyed hearing about your travels and thoughts. Great English, too. Best of luck to you in your free life. I wish the best for all people, including those in North Korea.
I live in Virginia, on the coast...so come back anytime....great seafood here
Come to Hawaii. We are a melting pot of Asian cultures / Hawaiian / South Pacific and Caucasians like me.
Poi dogs.. all of us (that means mixed and mixed is good)
You need to go to Seattle
Lol, don't go to Harlem. Anything past north of Central Park, you don't need to visit.
Texas weather is way different then where I'm at, the East Coast is warming in the summer but in Texas when I visit it was hot and little bit dry for me but the food wowser, the west is different then the East!
This was very interesting to me! I live in upstate New York, very far from the city! Beautiful mountains! Come back to New York!
Welcome to America brotha. Stay safe and flourish! Greetings from Texas
I respect you . Your knowing to speak a new langauge great
If I was North Korean I'd name my kid Hei Yu.
😂 Jae Son = Jason would be better 😮
My man is handsome af!
Drop the “like” bro..
I’m soooo happy you are free from North Korean oppression. Blessings and good health . Try San Francisco. Much prettier than Los Angeles
👍👏
I fell out laughing when he said the United States is the best country for food. Many waistlines would agree.
Your English is very, very ,very good.
This young man gives a foreigner's perspective of the USA. From the food to the weather to the people, he outlines how the diversity of our country makes this the best country to live in.
I hope anyone who yells "Go back to your own country" takes that into account.
@@Marchant2 it’s only said if you come illegally or a foreigner keeps saying, in my country we do it this way…heck we say that to Americans who move into a different state and keep saying, in my state we do it this way.
Very good video! 👍🏻🇺🇲
When you are in NYC, there is a Korean center in Manhattan, and a newer one in Queens
Thank you for your insight of the places you've visited in the US. Your English is VERY good. Please stay Safe, Healthy and Happy. Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to you. 💜
This Petsmart commercial cracks me up!🤣
Ahh he is soo adorable ! 😍
NYC is the most ethnically diverse city on the planet. I'm so glad he enjoyed it. ❤
All I can say…..is I’m so happy he and his mother got out of North Korea safely! 💜
They told you right. Uptown is rough.
A filmmaker with a white background.....very creative.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤👍
I'm glad you got to visit Texas. It's where I was raised from childhood. This is an amazing state. There is desert, mountains and forests. But the only drawback is the poisonous snake's so be very careful as they have stopped making anti-venom. The worst snake here is the rattlesnake and copperhead. The copperhead is more dangerous because they blend in with the pine-needles.
You should check out Branson Missouri and go to silver dollar city park it gives you the experience of how America was and is today
WELCOME TO AMERICA
