The Villages originally may have been a retirement community but now it is more an active adult community. Many of my friends still work. It is a great place to live
Thanks Robyn. Loved the sunset scenes from Lake Sumter Landing. Your granddaughter is adorable. I will be visiting The Villages next month...counting the days...🌞😎
It's very much for the boomers generation. Very specific mindset. Makes me wonder what happens after the highschool boomers mindset passes and the next generation wants nothing to do with this area. Housing prices will go down and it will turn into just another suburb.
I am a retired nurse too and live in The Villages. Almost anyone can afford to live here!!! There are homes from $110,000 to millions of dollars. No matter the price of your home - everyone enjoys the same amenities!!! I would be very surprised you could afford a home here. Feel free to ask me any questions!!
Janice, I will be a retired R.N. this coming February after working 44 years full time in the profession. I have always earned a decent salary from day 1 as have all of my R.N. friends who have worked all over the country. Compared to many other professions nurses historically earn salaries equivalent to teachers, police officers, and other service related professions. If you don't or can't save $$ during your working years that limits your options on where you can afford to live and do in retirement. Not always easy to save and I know that 1st hand having been widowed at 44 and had to do lots of OT to be able to retire at all when the time came.Hopefully you can find a way to live in TV if that is where you desire to live.
Villages is a good place to live if you don’t mind old cranky, privileged people and One of the worst Hospitals in the country. You don’t want to do a business in Lady Lake which is part of the villages they are definitely anti-business , anti-religion and bullies!
The crowd and the “age” of the crowd depends on which band is playing at which square.
Seems like a great place to live. It tells me that its not for old people

In all the videos I've watched on the Villages, I have not seen a single motorcycle or bicycle. Are they prohibited? Thanks!
The Villages is home to the largest bicycle club in the country...or so I have been told. There are plenty of motorcycles here too. I have one!
@@Robyncavallaro Thanks. Just wondered why they are not shown in the videos???
Nice work Robyn. Tough atmosphere to promote in, but you’re doing great!
It really is!

Love to see people
Loving life!♥️ little girl
In blue is a pie!!! 🌸
She is the cutest 💕💕
Wouldn’t you rather live near a beach? This place appeals to a segment I can see that, but I would never judge another person’s idea of fun.
It’s so nice to see people out and having a good time.
Agreed
That is the retirement life we need! 🇬🇧 Thanks for showing us around.
Any time!

Looks like a lot of fun. I am a retired nurse and I cannot afford to live there. Its so sad for many people who cannot jump into the fun.
