    Thank you for these free templates! I got tired of ruining shoes for cosplay by glueing foam to them, and I love the way you velcro all the pieces so nothing is actually ruining your boot

    Hey man I made these and they look incredible but any advice on an alternate way go better close the calf area?

    • @GavinFinn
      @GavinFinn  6 років тому

      Estevan Garcia what issue are you having? I put the seam on the back of mine as it wouldnt be seen in photographs, so wasnt too bothered if it was visible. Surely the real shin guards for the movie have some sort of join somewhere???
      Unless you dont like velcro? If thats the case, i cant think of anything as simple and holds as well that could be used as an alternative...

    Great, looks fantastic. :) Are templates for the shoulders available? I've been experimenting with some success, but would like to see other designs too. :)

    Hello, a while ago I downloaded the templates for the shinguards here but I lost them, the link is still there but it does not work, is there any way that you can put them back or activate the link to download them or someone can pass them somehow? Thanks!!!

    Hi,
    I love your shin guard tutorial video.
    The link for the free templates isn't working anymore.
    Do you have another one 🙏🏼 or can you send me the templates in messenger or with e-mail? I tried to contact you in FB but you didn't answer.
    Kind regards

    Love the video! Just one question: I see other people glue two pieces of foam together to create a shin guard, why did you choose to make it out of one piece? I want to make my first armor, and I'm really wondering why haha :)

    • @GavinFinn
      @GavinFinn  6 років тому +1

      One less seem means one less point of potential failure! Plus save time and money on glue :)

    Prime your foam, that way you won't need so many layers of paint

    • @GavinFinn
      @GavinFinn  6 років тому

      Not in this case. I used one layer of paint over bear foam to achieve a deep worn red look.
