I loved growing up here. Mr Ausberry’s snowball stand, the pool at the park, and playing baseball on the base. Good times bruh. This is Truth Bruh. Amen, spent a many summers and weekends at my grandparents Grocery store "Tonys Groceries on Lombard St until Mama Florance passed in the 80s.

Man you sent me back in time when you drove down Anderson, Lumbard and Hopkin past Mr. Joe's house, Mr. Ausberry's snowball stand seeing my aunt Sadie's and Uncle Sostane's house and aunt Olivie's and Uncle Curtis's homes, the Martins and Toney's Groceries. The memories Bruh! Wow Thanks.
So basically you've posted a UA-cam video that stereotypes the West End of New Iberia. Lot of those neighborhoods have literally NO Crime activity at all. You should take this down immediately.
I grew up in Iberia Parish, it was a better place prior to the 2000s. I moved away in 2012 (far away) and return for a short visit every couple years. It appears noticeably worse each time I return for a visit. Sadly, the citizens are content with and oblivious to state of their environment.
umm just stop it. New Iberia isn't that bad. quit spewing this filth about that city. Just because you relocated to a better place than New Iberia, doesn't mean its a bad place. you may have just found somewhere better which is fine. also just because things have changed doesn't necessary mean it's better or worst than "they use to be". Times have changed... EVERYWHERE!!! PERIOD!!! and because of that, people's values, ideals, priorities and morals have changed. its not just in New Iberia. It's people like you that makes society believe it's bad to live in smaller city/town. Not everyone wants to run to an overpopulated city where everyone is living on top of each other and that less than adequate environment that you're going on about is much more pronounced! furthermore the crime level isn't anywhere near the scale of most places. Sure bad things happen there, but bad things happen everywhere. and sure, the video is highlighting new iberia solely but really and truly it's not a horrible place. a lot of the areas depicted in the video are, for all intensive purposes, unscathed by crime. so please take your comments elsewhere.
@@oldschool337 He drove through the West End. Nothing mentioned of Downtown, Olivier, or any other area of town where CRIME is prevalent....rather than driving through certain subdivisions on that end that have NO CRIME ACTIVITY at all....labeling it "dangerous". Its BS.
I’m from new Iberia I’ve lived in San Diego, San Francisco, Oakland and Seattle I currently live in Indianapolis. New Iberia is far from a dangerous hood 😂
I think you are correct but all those cities except Indy you speak of are all very liberal and they divested in law enforcement causing a criminal and drug vacuum. So of course they will be more violent. And I lived in Indy for 5 years. Indy is like New Iberia at a way bigger scale.
When someone does a video like this they should put the street names for at least a few of the streets. There is a project in this area where the police will not go to it at night. Very bad place I was told.

Much better than the hood in NYC or Chicago.
Violence is violence no matter where it is. But those liberal cities you are referring to is at a whole other level.
I do believe it is the largest heliport in the world followed by Port Fuchan

Lafayette is rather sporty these days
don't go to new iberia unless you need a haircut
The foods in New Iberia, Lafayette, Breaux Bridge areas are called "Creole Cuisines". Not cajun food.
