This is excellent, but I don't know if it's for beginners - I've been studying a year, and now I can finally use it - I guess "beginner" is a relative term - anyway, it's working great for me now, thanks!
I agree with you. I can read and write. I go out and I can get by without speaking English. But I stumble all the time with what someone is saying because they rapidfire speak like writthen Thai: no breaks. This is pretty fast, like the way most Thais speak to me. Which is too fast.
@@perrybakr4252 You have to pay them to slow down... lol - but seriously, get a tutor, or try Kru New - "Thai Lessons By New" - slow speaking, legible Thai
It is exactly what it is .... you know a pretty good chunk of vocabulary and wish to hear Thai spoken to practice understanding ... beginning Thai conversational listening.
This series is good. A pity the text often vanishes from the screen even BEFORE it gets read out. You want to relate the text to the speech but whoops! Too late, it's gone already.
The video is amazing, but as others have mentioned, qualifying it as 'beginner' content may be a little demotivating for people who are learning. Thank you anyway, I'm coming back in a few months.
Words like ‘sophisticated’ and ‘pendant’ are for beginners? Oh dear. God knows what must be on the intermediate test, ‘indefatigable’, ‘presentiment’ and ‘detestation’ I presume?
The word giving rise to "sophisticated" was "ผู้ใหญ่". It's a common word meaning "adult" (as opposed to children etc.) In this context of buying a present it meant something like "less childish". The word giving rise to "pendant" in translation can be decomposed into "pattern/motif/shape". Problems sometime arise as a result of overblown translations or bulk translations. In a textbook they're the kind of words that would require analysis. If you already have some notion (which a beginner wouldn't have) about what to look for, you can do your own analysis on Google Translate. A pity subtitles cannot be copied and pasted!

Well, I did the Absolute Beginner vid (many...many...many times) Now that I'm about 85% confident with it, I'm going to move up to this one.

At 26:21 I think เที่ยงตรง meant "punctual", not "12 o'clock".

O wow, this is considered beginners? The speakers talk soo fast that I can only understand the first and last word in each sentence.
The man is usually speaking at a beginner level. The woman is usually speaking much faster than a beginner.
@@murrayjamer1765 agree from a thai person :)
